I have the LTE version. I initially connected on Verizon network as a standalone. It worked great after 2 hrs of working with Verizon CSR. However, the standalone cost $20 a month. Changed plan to shared with one of my phone lines for $10 a month.
So far, it has worked flawlessly. It connects via bluetooth flawlessly with my phone (not Samsung) and Samsung Earbuds+. The battery is good as advertised (after couple of charge).
Still explored all the apps. Samsung pay is awesome.

Coming from Wear OS (Android Wear), this watch is an excellent alternative. I use it with my Note 10+ daily. This makes it easy to see incoming notifications and decide what is important. It is also the best way to handle fitness tracking, check the weather, or control music on your phone. Having LTE means you can leave your phone behind and stay connected to texts, calls, and music. Also, the battery tends to last 3 days or more for me. Finally, I find the build quality and durability to be excellent. I have scratched it multiple times and it isn't really showing.

Purchased this for the phone. Was tired of lugging the Note 8 everywhere, but needed to be connected to clients. Paired with my Plantronics BT headset, the untethered life without a phone is a game changer.
When you think about what we're asking this watch to do with a battery the size of a nickel... BT, Data, GPS, stream music... It lasts easily a full day with many long client calls, 5 mile walks, Google maps turn by turn, etc.,
If course it does a million other things with every app you'll need readily available.
I don't care if I have to charge it each night. This thing is powerful tool for business.

I purchased the Galaxy Watch w/LTE intending to augment my Pixel 3 XL phone. The watch is very much to my liking, and it does a great job with battery management. My old Gear S3 would be down to 70% battery available after one day's use, while the Galaxy Watch is showing 90% available in the same time frame. That's really decent.
I purchased the LTE variant expecting to number-share it with my Pixel 3XL phone. Only after receiving it, I came to find that the two can't be number-shared - according to Verizon.. So, i'm using the Galaxy Watch with a Bluetooth connection to my phone. And it works great! I can initiate text messages on the watch, answer phone calls, and get all my notifications. It is disappointing that I can't use the LTE functions, especially since at least 6 calls to Samsung says that I should be able to do so. But, Verizon insists that it isn't possible to do so.
I've rated the watch 5-stars because I think it's an outstanding watch. Still, I'm hoping that one day Verizon and Samsung and Google will all learn to play better together.

So I've had this since May. Previously, I've had the Gear S2 Classic, and the Sony Smartwatch 2. This one is the best by far, and it's proven both tougher and more useful than I thought it would be. The 46mm screen is large and vibrant. Still on par with the newer watches that just released. All the internals are roughly the same as the new watches. The design was iffy at first, but it's grown on me and I think it looks good with all my outfits and colors. The battery life is very manageable, since I only have to charge it every couple of days of active use. That means having the heart rate sensor on at all times and using some apps for extended periods. I'm also incredibly happy about the rotating bezel, which is the number one reason for me to own this since Tizen has a paltry selection of apps.
As for negatives, I could only say a few things are a problem. One, it only has 4gb of storage. You might ask why someone would need more than that for a watch, but I like to have music on here in case I'm in the shower, working, or exercising. 4gb is okay, but given it also only does mp3 (which is fine, except that my offline files are almost all FLAC), that limits me to one or two genres. I sort of just want my watch to be a solid backup instead of a "less than 24 hrs backup", but I know that's quite a bit to ask, so it's not really a major con. Secondly, the apps really are few and far between. I thought they would get better 4 years ago, but it's actually worse, since several developers dropped support. Even Samsung is struggling to find useful features. The apps that are there do work well, but for the foreseeable future, the scope of consumers this is limited to is basically athletic people and elderfolk who want to watch their stress. Everyone else doesn't really have a need to take this with them every day.
Overall, I say get a Samsung watch if you can find one for a reasonable price and you'll actually use it.

Product works as advertised, except that it is NOT compatible with all mobile phone carriers even though it is unlocked. It's not the phone's problem, it's the carriers. The phone is over-sized, and heavy compared with normal watches. It tends to slip around the wrist unless the strap is exceptionally tight. In general, it's a nice toy, but hardly worth the $'s as if your mobile phone carrier is not prepared to accept the product, the watch does nothing without having your mobile phone with you, so what's the point. Sorry, Samsung - Close but No Cigar!

I bought this watch as a upgrade to my galaxy sport. This watch is very durable and much better made. I use it to take phone calls, listen to music and read/reply to text messages. I swim a few times a week, a nice feature is it literally spits out the water when you finish swim mode. the battery lasts a few days. I bought the 46mm for the bigger screen, the dial is the size of my whole wrist. I only gave it 4 stars because I have not hooked it up to. y cellular provider yet and the rating won't let me give it 4.5 stars. Overall I am very pleased with my watch.

I've had the watch for three weeks and couldn't be happier. I wore it on a trip out west. I wore it while running a 50k through the Paradise area of Idaho/Wyoming, I wore while hiking. I wore while kayaking. I wore while mountain biking. I wore it swimming in hot springs and at waterfalls. I wore it while jumping from a cliff into a lake. I got more than 2 days of battery life out of it without doing anything special to it. I put it through heck because I wanted to make sure it lived up to its promise before the warranty ran out. So far so great. I had the Gear S2 before this adn wanted to have a longer battery life. haven't hooked it up to LTE yet. I have to swtich mobile companies.

I upgraded from a gear s2 to this. My gear still works, but the battery life was garbage. This watch fixes all those problems. I am a very heavy user and after 10+ hours of music, navigation, weather, time check, calling, reading texts this watch is still at 70% battery. Haven't used LTE yet, but I'm sure it is still great. Love the twist bezel. Only things I am not crazy about is the black outer ring because it shows scuffs.

I've been an Apple user since the iPhone 4S and have owned every version of the Apple watch except the current series 5. I decided to make a change this year largely due to Goole Advanced Protection...look it up. My opinion is the wearables for the Andriod market are struggling to compete with Apple. With the exception of the EKG feature of the Apple watch (which I do not need)...this watch does everything my S4 Apple watch did. At first I didn't understand all the options that were available...makes sense coming from Apple products. I have been wearing this watch for one month and I love it. Cellular voice and data, messaging, fitness tracking, notifications because I keep my phone on silent all of the time. I love the classic look of a "watch" and with the always on display it's hard to tell this is a smart watch. I could also use it will an Apple phone if I ever decide go back. Currently my watch is paired with a Note 10+. I have worn this watch for two days with out charging but it really depends on the features and display settings you choose as to how long the battery will last. Cellular only really eats battery and I don't use it often. I charge nightly and usually have 45-50 battery remaining when I place it on the charger at bedtime. Overall I have been very impressed with the build quality and functionality of this watch. I would, and have, recommended this to a friend.

Wanted a smart watch with a more masculine rugged classic look. Love the look, feel, and utility of this watch. Now own two including the previous model and both serves my purpose well. I use this one when I might not have my phone such as when I am playing sports or biking/hiking but it still looks great dressed up. My previous model is not LTE enabled.

I wanted something more than just a fitness tracker, and the Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch fits my needs perfectly. I hike a lot, so I love the step/miles counter, but I especially love the altitude tracker. I purchased the LTE version, and I am really happy with that choice, as the watch utilizes whichever is available, BlueTooth or LTE, so I don't anticipate ever exceeding data limits. I live in Phoenix, AZ, land of consistent 110° temps in the summer, so water resistance was a "must". The watch is very user friendly and intuitive; I use the "back" button and the bezel equally to move among features. I am near-sighted and cannot read email messages on my 6.5" phone screen without stopping a hike to retrieve reading glasses. However, I can read those emails with the AMOLED smartwatch screen - big plus! I did purchase a back-up silicone watchband, an aluminum bezel protector, and tempered glass screen protectors.

This is my 2nd one of these. I originally wanted the LTE version, but BB didn't have them in stock. When they got them, I upgraded.
Activating on ATT was kind of a pain, because I had to go to an ATT store for them to give me an eSIM card to take a picture of with the Samsung app. After that it was smooth.
When the watch is out of range of the paired phone it'll seamlessly switch to LTE. It's great being able to stay in touch and get notifications if I don't have my phone with me.
Otherwise the watch works great. I tried a Wear OS watch and preferred Samsung Tizen. Much smoother and more efficient.

I have been enjoying the watch since taking delivery of it. The watch is superior to a similar watch from LG. The cost of LG Watch Sport Unlocked GSM (Silver/Titan) [Wireless is almost twice that of the Galaxy. I paid $650 for the LG Watch while Samsung - Galaxy Watch Smartwatch 46mm Stainless Steel LTE cost me $369.99. The LG smart watch was returned because of poor battery. A full charge cannot last for a full day while Galaxy battery fully charged lasts for 4 days plus depending on usage. I have tested and used all its features. Every aspect of the watch is working as shown on its specification. It pairs and syncs easily with my Galaxy S8+. Its Samsung Health feature works as if its monitoring ones health by reminding me how long I have been sitting down. So far so good, I have no regrets for returning the LG watch to buy the Galaxy. The Galaxy smart watch is a great watch to use.

Love my watch, upgraded to LTE version, after my bluetooth one's screen got cracked (Geek squad protected!!)
Only problem with the "unbranded" by a carrier/UNLOCKED ones that are sold by Best Buy, this model has a 1% chance of getting activated on VERIZON.
Best Buy can't activate this watch in store as it has a *30* digit e-sim from Samsung, and Verizon uses *20* digits in there sims... not compatible with there system.
I spent 6 DAYS with Verizon tier 2 support before they finally gave up trying to activate it, resulting in an increase in fees & taxes on my next bill.

Even with what appears to be lesser specs, this watch is bigger and faster than my huawei watch 2 sport watch. This is due to the tizen os the Samsung has developed. It is a better all around device, but the integration I had with Android Wear can't be compared. I miss signing in to my google account and just pressing allow or using the 2 factor authentication that just works with everything right on the watch. There are ways around this on the Galaxy Watch, but they cost money. NFC is way faster on this device than my last, but it lacks Samsung pay so I still find myself pulling out my phone more than I would like. Battery life has been great, I can sometimes get even 4 days!!! That's a big deal on a smartwatch. I would comment on the LTE, but since every carrier requires you to pair it with your phone, I haven't been able to test the speed or battery life. I use Xfinity mobile and they don't offer watch plans yet so I'm still waiting. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the device. It lasts twice as long as my last watch and is a bit faster, but the google experience is definitely missed from my old one.

I really like the sleep tracker on this device. The heartrate monitor is spot on compared to what the doctor detected on 3 separate differences. With the accelerometer and heartrate sensor, the sleep stage detection is fairly accurate especially when it comes to REM sleep tracking because your heart rate changes. I found i'm getting a lot less REM sleep than average. I'm getting around 5% and the average you need is 20-25%. I have been having problems with memory and the REM stage of sleep is when your brain is storing memories, so I've decided to see a sleep doctor instead of a neurologist. I've been getting to sleep at 5:30am at the earlier regardless of when i try to get to sleep. My memory is horrible, so if i can improve my REM sleep it could literally change my life. The alarm clock on the watch is useful as it plays a tone and vibrates and typically your arm is near your head when you sleep, so if you have roommates that don't want to hear your alarm going off, this is a good solution. It functions well and swiping the screen or turning the dial works instantly. There's even a flashlight app you can download. The sleep tracker alone is worth the price. I love how you have thousands of watch faces to choose from and I ordered a stainless steel band that installs easily for more formal occasions. One problem I did have is that the plastic band ripped almost off within the first 2 weeks. Luckily, they give you an extra band, so i'm using the spare, but i'm afraid it will rip too. I like the water mode where it ejects the water. I don't know if it's just a gimmick or if it actually works, but it's a pretty cool idea. The activity tracker is accurate and of course there's a step counter. It's easy to text (for texting on a watch) and no one can tell if you're talking to them on your watch or on your cell phone so that's pretty cool. The bixby doesn't work that well, but that's about my only complaint so if you have $320 bucks to spare (I got an "open box" one for $283 and it's like new) then this is the watch to buy. Don't fall for the Apple Watch trap and get tied into having to buy all Apple products. They've fallen off so much in the last 5-7 years especially in their phones so stick to Samsung. It works great with my Galaxy S10+. Overall, it's expensive, but a great watch that looks good with any outfit since you can download so many faces.

Did a ton of research and read artilcles/reviews before settling on Samsung Galaxy Watch. Synced right up with my Galaxy S9+ phone and with installation of the Samsung Health app began sharing activity and other data with my phone. Receiving text messages, emails, calls on my watch - very handy. Call quality surprisingly good considering it's a speakerphone. Tizen 4.0.0.4 update improved the sync of health data. It's very freeing to be able to visit a neighbor, run to the store, etc. and not feel you have to have a phone with you. There are enough apps available for me to make owing/use very convenient. I don't want to be staring at my watch like many people stare at their phones! Very happy with this purchase, great battery life (3+ days per charge), convenience. Would purchase again.

S3 Frontier replacement

My S3 Frontier was having battery charging issues so I decided to replace it instead of replacing the batter as I wanted a watch I could swim with.
Although I still prefer the look of my all black S3 Frontier, I prefer the 46mm size, so I went with the black/silver Galaxy 46mm. I prefer the look and the physical rotating bezel so I did not really look at the Galaxy Watch Active 2, not to mention the much larger battery.
The battery life is outstanding and definitely better than my S3 Frontier as I can go 2-3 days without a charge.
I have no real complaints so far, except for I am not sure why Samsung keeps releasing their smartwatches with only 4gb of memory. Although this isn't that big of a concern as I don't download anything onto the watch.
