I personally love the upgrade from my old galaxy watch. Apple watches are like like an new gadget loaded vehicle but thery are everywhere and don't stand out like Samsung did with the galaxy 3. I ve had Apple watch owners say they were jealous home crisp and smooth the watch was and can be worn to a nice event by throwing the leather band on or the silicone band for casual wear. My only complaint is I hope they give us an update to help with battery life and fine tune a potential perfect watch.

The watch is the second version i had. I upgraded from the Galaxy watch 1. I had a physical issue twice with the first watch back heart rate panel falling off. The second time i bought watch from best buy with insurance and i was grateful i was able to take store credit to change to new version. I think it has more speed. Similar menus to galaxy 1, maybe a few settings different. This one has O2 sensor. I will say the battery seems a little less than original. I know in tech specs said it was smaller. The buttons and bezel on this are perfect. I like the all black than the silver and black mix i had. A good buy and good with LTE

First smart watch and I like everything about it. Easy to set up and use. Leaves a circle on your wrist where the sensor is on the back side but that doesn't interfere with how I feel about it. Leather band looks and feels to be of great quality. The face is the perfect size and using the apps are just as simple as the phone. I enjoy using the watch.

HERE WE GO AGAIN! WITH REWRITING A LONG REVIEW FOR MY SAMSUNG WATCH 3 LTE. I LOST MY REVIEW WHILE TRYING TO TAKE MORE PICTURES OF THE WATCH. I HAVE CHANGED THE WATCH STRAP TO A BETTER LEATHER STRAP FROM THE ORIGINAL. THIS IS MY FOURTH WATCH IN FOUR YEARS. BY HAVING A BEST BUY WARRANTY I GOT CREDIT OF MY DEFECTIVE SAMSUNG WATCH TOWARDS THE NEW WATCH 3, EXCEPT I LOST THE PURCHASE PRICE OF MY EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE BROKEN WATCH. I GET ABOUT TWO DAYS OF BATTERY LIFE WITH THIS WATCH AFTER I REMOVED ALL OF THE APPS AND WIDGETS ON THE WATCH WITH THE WEARABLE APP ON MY SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FLIP 5G WHICH I USE IT AS A SPARE PHONE. MY PRIMARY PHONE IS A NOTE 9, A MUCH BETTER PHONE. THE WATCH COMES WITH A VERY SHORT CHARGER CORD, ONLY 30 INCHES LONG WITH NO WALL CHARGER UNIT. I RECOMMEND THAT THE CHARGER UNIT HAVE A METAL WASHER OVER IT WHILE YOU NOT USING IT. IT IS MAGNETIC THAT MAY DAMAGE A CREDIT CARD THAT HAS A MAGNETIC STRIP ON THE BACK OF THE CARD. IN CASE YOU PUT THE CHARGER CORD IN YOUR POCKET. IF YOU HAVE A OLD GEAR WATCH CHARGER, IT WILL NOT CHARGE YOUR NEW WATCH 3. I DID GET MY DUAL CHARGER TO CHARGE THE WATCH BUT IT WAS CRITICAL WHERE I PUT WATCH ON THE DUAL CHARGER BECAUSE THE WATCH 3 HAS A VERY SMALL AREA FOR THE CHARGER TO BE WORKING PROPERLY, SEE MY PICTURES. THE WATCH CAN BE USED DOWN TO 164 FEET OF WATER. I USE THE NEW ECG AND SLEEP MONITOR. THE WATCH WILL TELL YOU WHEN YOUR NOT MOVING FOR THE LAST HOUR. IT RECOMMENDS A EXERCISE FOR YOU. THE WATCH HAS A OPTION TO CALL A NUMBER IF YOU HAVE FALLEN DOWN AS WELL AS IT WILL CALL FOR HELP IF YOU HIT THE HOME SCREEN THREE TIMES. THE "FIND MY WATCH" APP WORKED CLOSE TO WHERE I WAS LOCATED BUT WAS OFF ON THE APARTMENT NUMBER. OVER ALL I HOPE THIS NEW WATCH 3 WOULD LAST LONGER THAN MY LAST SAMSUNG WATCH. SORRY FOR USING BOLD TEXT BECAUSE I LOST MY ORIGINAL REVIEW.

Elegant, practical and robust, Samsung's Galaxy Watch 3 45mm with LTE, is a thing of beauty to behold. With ECG, custom watch faces, heart monitoring and so much more, this techinal marvel will not satisfy the geek in you, but it'll do so all the while, while making you look cool. I have custom Rolex, and Omega faces on mine and I've customized my Samsung workout app. Now I see the data I want to see while working out. Cool, very cool. And unlike Apple smart watches, Samsung smart watches actually look like their analog counterparts and because of that, they're more fashionable. Riveting.

Upgraded from a Gear s2....huge improvements. The price is a little step, considering it's it's not that big of a step above the previous model. Over all a nice smart watch.

Very reliable, durable & satisfactory. The galaxy watch is designed with old style which is strong to work while wearing it at job as well as in a event. I look at all other fancy watches which is falling off after a short period of time.

Best Smart Watch and Fitness Band So Far...

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is the best smart watch and fitness band that I have ever owned...hands down. First lets start off with what fitness bands I have owned: 1. A Basis B1 - loved it for short while, but it had issues that caused me to return it. 2. A Microsoft Band 2 - It was a good fitness band that I used for almost 2 years. Then out of the blue...Microsoft discontinued it and I was forced to by another brand. 3. FitBit Blaze - I still have the FitBit. I have owned it for over 3 years. It was a very good fitness band. Battery life went down from 5 - 6 days at the beginning to me charging it every other day. Not great since it had no real smartwatch functionality, and flaky music and messaging functionality. I decided to treat myself to a new smart watch this past Christmas. Fitbit was out, because even after over 3 years of owning the Blaze, to me, FitBit was not making any REAL inway into the smart watch game to legitimately compete with Apple, Garmin, Samsung, and others. Specifically, I wanted a smart watch that had real LTE functionality. A watch where I could leave my phone at home and still have access to a phone (if needed), texting (if needed) and other functionality. For me, my choices were between the Apple Watch and Samsung. Although I have a MAC Book Pro, I did not want to have to be on the hook to purchase an iPhone also, just to use the Apple watch. Also, the Apple watch has no real individuality, since I see it on the arm of EVERYONE, little kids, cashiers at the grocery store, coworkers, people on T.V., and I like to feel a bit "different" in my choices...sometimes. I went to a couple of places where, even during this pandemic, I could play with both the Apple Watch and the Samsung watch. Most reviews give the edge to the Apple watch with ease of use and functionality. The edge on the Samsung side seems to be on the battery, although, not by much. As you already know, hence this review, my choice was the Samsung Watch 3 w/LTE. I waited to post this review until I have owned and used this watch for at least 2 months continuously. I REALLY love this watch. It took a few weeks to get up to speed on a few things initially on the functionality side, specifically the number sync (which allows your number to show if you call someone from the watch versus the phone). I even wore the Samsung watch on one arm and my FitBit on the other to compare the tracking of steps, distance, etc. for a week. I found the result fairly equal with the tracking of steps. I even found that the Samsung watch seems to be good at not giving me "phantom" steps for doing things like mindlessly wiggling my legs while sitting on the couch, which I found that FitBit would sometimes do. Ok, now I will start off with the minuses right away...to let you know the things that I do not particularly like, but are not deal breakers. Minuses: - Using the watch with the phone at home will dramatically shorten the battery life. - Using the GPS functionality will also drastically shorten the batter life. - Using or playing music from the watch while exercising will also dramatically shorten battery life. Usually if you are playing music from the watch it means you do not have your phone, so your battery life will be double diminished. I once went out with a close to full watch battery while playing music and my watch was ready to die after close to 4 hours. - You cannot have earbuds or a headset sync to both your phone and your watch. You have to sync to one or the other. If the phone is near you cannot answer the phone and listen to earbuds that are synced to the other device. I still have not found a good solution for this one yet. I thought about purchasing Samsung ear buds to see if they function better with both devices. - If you are within Bluetooth range of the phone but answer on your watch it will default to the phone. Haven't totally figured this one out yet. - Even though you have your earbuds synced to the watch, if you call someone from the watch it will not use the earbuds but rather the watch speaker. Sometimes it will default to the phone. Pluses: - A lot of beautiful watch faces can be accessed and downloaded for free. A lot are out there that have a nominal price. I find that after a while you will have 4 or 5 favorites that you will use, with one or two of them being your absolute go-tos. - Usually close to 2 days of use before needing charging. That is with using the always on display and all smart watch functionality. There is a "watch only" setting that is suppose to give you close to a month before charging, but if I wanted a regular watch I would have purchased a regular watch and not a smart watch. - It looks like a traditional watch. Some of the watch faces will almost fool you for a bit into thinking it is a normal watch with moving hands. People have been surprised when they see that it is a smartwatch. I have a couple of other bands that give it even more flexibility and visual appeal. - Works almost flawlessly with Samsung S20 Plus phone that I have. Also, the Samsung fitness app, Samsung Wear App (where you can control functionality and settings), and synchronizes with a health tracking app from work. - Although it is like a novelty once you have done it a few times, it has an EKG. - It has a Blood Oxygen sensor - There is even an app where you can control the camera on your phone. Great for setting you phone away from you and taking a selfie or group photo because you can see the phone screen from your watch. - It will automatically pick up workouts. If I take a long walk it will automatically start tracking lap times, etc. It also picks up if I am running. - It has waterproof functionality. I have not used that yet, but make you comfortable knowing that you do not have to worry about it so much. - When I am working, it will "nag" or remind you if you have been sitting too long and suggest standing up or a suggested list of exercises. If you do one of the suggested exercises, it will show a graphical representation of a person on your watch and count the repetitions along with you. Like trunk twist or knee bends, etc. If I think hard enough I am sure that there are more good things I can think of. Final verdict: I love this watch and give it top honors!

    Samsung LTE Watch3 Rocks!

I have a new Samsung S21 Ultra 5G phone, Buds Pro, and this 45mm Watch3. My S21 has Spectrum service installed and Spectrum doesn't yet support Samsung watches. So, used a Verizon "standalone watch plan". This gave me unlimited service on my Galaxy Watch3. Every provided App feature works perfectly and I only need to charge the watch once a day, although it would probably go two days before being depleted as I mostly just use it for my health monitoring - BP, ECG, Stress, ETC. I also use the silicone gray Galaxy Watch3 band and like it very well - but I also have a Galaxy Watch3 premium leather band. So far, I have only used the silicone band this summer and it never irritates my skin. Changing the bands is also a quick easy snap using the Samsung Galaxy 22mm bands - whenever a change is wanted. For the initial Verizon $35 activation fee and the roughly $14 a month unlimited Verizon Galaxy Watch plan, I get excellent LTE 4G phone and data service as well as having a second phone number to use when the watch and the phone aren't within pairing distance (30-35 feet) with Bluetooth. When I receive a call on my S21 Ultra, and the phone isn't nearby, it texts the watch to notify me of that call. The LTE Watch3 is easy to hear and use despite I am a bit hard of hearing at 70. It also has Bixby. So, I can just tell Bixby to make calls when I don't want to use the Watch3 dial screens. I also use my Buds Pro with the watch to hear music from the 1960's (my era) while working in my yard. Since I don't need the LTE watch to be paired to the S21 ultra phone, I often leave the phone at home while making short trips around town. Note: You may need to have a Verizon store install their Galaxy Watch standalone plan, as their scan code watch E-SIM setup has to be set using a Verizon phone SIM. I managed to use an old un-activated Verizon SIM, temporarily inserted, in my unlocked S21 Ultra - to start my Galaxy Watch3 Verizon service. Then, I simply called Verizon for activation of the new number for the watch. Verizon has instructions to follow on their website - but they don't include the part about needing to use a Verizon phone SIM. One other thing of note during setup is the LTE Galaxy Watch3 only supports Wireless B, G, and N connections. After finishing the installation you can turn off Wireless to extend the battery charge time on the watch. I leave the Bluetooth on. A lot of people might only be interested in using the Galaxy LTE Watch3 by itself.

Love this watch! I've always worn a watch but this is my first smart watch... and it's awesome. Love not needing to have my phone in my pocket. I can recieve texts, see who's calling and so much more. I'll even get up when the watch says I've been sitting too long. Never thought I'd like a smart watch...i was wrong.

Purchased the LTE ver. of the watch coming from a first gen Asus watch. It was time for an upgrade and for many years I have been looking in to the Samsung line of watches. There was no Carrier version when the Frontier came out so I was bummed and held out for another. The Galaxy watch 3 reminds me of a cleaner refined Frontier. I love just about everything about this watch from the apps to the ease of switching bands, I saw a few people say that they had issues connecting to their carriers for LTE. I had no issues connecting to Carrier from the app. Goods: rotating bezel, all black look health fitness tracking from apps, screen brightness and clarity. decent battery life compared to my aged ASUS Zen watch which I loved for its styling. and I can say the same for this watch. it doesn't look all teched out so its good for out working out or walking/running as well as when its time to get a dressed up to go out. Plus - Find my phone Find my watch Bad: Although I had enough reward point to bring down the final price, but the Price!!!! honestly way too high, not enough of an upgrade from the Galaxy watch to warrant such a high price tag. the battery life! I don't see how they can advertise over 2 days when I can't make it 24 hrs. with always on display and brightness set to 7. Yes all app notifications. well most of them are turned on, I do not plan to dumb down my smart watch to stretch battery, I have already reduced brightness. Speaking of battery.. the sleep app. wonderful to have to track sleep habits, but I can't use it. I have to have my watch charging at night so I can have it ready for the next day. Why did Samsung downgrade the battery size! I would figure they could of retained battery size and styling with all the advance tech. Wireless charge! great to have but I notice if I am not using the included charger I have to be delicate with placing it on the wireless charger otherwise it will not find the sweet spot with easy, I have to reverse loop the bands in the air and set it on my night stand wireless charger. Samsung Pay! why remove the strongest pay feature, MST. Frontier had it but this watch does not so it will only work on terminals that use NFC. I find myself reaching for my phone or wallet before my watch because of this removed feature. I have also noticed no declines at the register with my watch but if it take out my phone it just works. Bluetooth! I like to take morning walks, with my phone in pocket and Galaxy buds 1st gen from last year in ears. Things seam to work out ok. If I leave my phone in the car and try to stream right from the watch lots of connection interference and crackling. I have to keep my arms moving to retain a good connection. My buds are a year old so that shouldn't be old enough to cause issues and I do not watch to shell out more money on newer buds just to fix this issue. I did realize that the right bud is the main one for connection and I wear my watch on my Left hand. Plus I'm not that tall only 5'9 so i feel for those with long arms. Overall: Coming from a dated watch this is a huge and welcoming upgrade. if I had a Galaxy Watch or Gear Frontier I might have skipped this once. No new hardware changes, smaller battery, min free storage, removed features like MST but bigger price tag, does make this one a bit harder to swallow, as if they just needed something to come out this year and just gave the Galaxy watch a facelift and bigger tag. I'm happy with my purchase, hopefully there will be an update to improve bt and battery life. They did deliver on the EKG and Blood o2.

Received the watch and went to AT&T store to activate. Fortunately, I didn't have an issue. This was an upgrade from my old wifi Galaxy Watch and so far doesn't appear to be that different from my old watch from either a hardware or software perspective. Looking forward to the improvements in water resistance and durability, as well as LTE while surfing.

My garmin running watch broke so I needed a new watch to track my runs. I decided to get this watch since it did all that and more. It's been great. it was very easy to set up and it's easy to use. The battery life is like 2 days so that could be longer but I keep my charger on my desk so it's just easy to pop it off and let it charge while I work. I did get a different silicon band which I love and would suggest. Overall, this is my first smart watch and it's been great, very durable too.
