Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I say concept phone because there are a few major features that are missing from the Z Flip and one being an IP67 or IP68 rating... the fact that I have to baby the phone and if it's raining outside be so worried that water is going to damage it, that is just a killer for me.The battery is average and I find myself being more concience of when and how I'm using the phone and i normally end a day with about 45% remaining. Overall the design is awesome and I love the new take on smartphones but you need to make sure you are ready to sacrifice some added conveniences when purchasing this.

I already knew the battery wasn't going to be all that great but I turned on developer mode and turned off a lot that was uselessly running. You can pretty much extend the battery life on any android device by doing so. I keep the location and Bluetooth off unless I need to use it for Maps and I use my phone as a phone for the most part. I don't have a Facebook account and only have Snapchat (but I'm rarely on that) installed as far as extra apps are concerned. I don't have any games installed either. Throughout the day I only eat up about 90%-85% on a regular day of light use. On a heavy day I can get down to about 60%. I'm not the average user so if you are looking to use this as a full-fledged smart phone (even though it is a full-fledged android device) look elsewhere or wait for the technology to progress for flip devices. This is a promising beginning for smart flip phones thus far.

I recognize this phone must have a smaller battery, but Samsung could optimize their software to give the phone better battery life. Apple is good at that, so are the new Pixel 4a's and 5. Shame really. Secondary display is utterly useless. Main display is very good! Great build quality too, nailed it there. Great cameras, don't believe the bad reviews. I found them excellent for most people and on par with galaxy 10 series. There's definitely hope for future flip phones, and I'll be watching Samsung and this space carefully!
