Should have gone with a FitBit product

I chose the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro over a similar model by FitBit. I previously had the FitBit Charge HR and most recently the Vivovit+ by Garmin and I was looking for a little more of a smart watch but something that could endure boot camp style workouts. First thing I noticed was that the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro needs charging almost everyday. It tries to do too much and it drains the battery. Secondly the heart rate monitor wasn't accurate. I also did not like that if you get up during the night, the sleep records starts over again. Finally, two months after I purchased it, it came off while working out, hit the floor and the screen shattered. Fixing a shattered screen is not covered under the 1 year warranty. Lesson learned. Even though I had to replace the Charge HR 3 times in one year FitBit never complained.

Being in sunny Florida and working out mostly outside, it's not always easy to see the screen. When I'm sweating the BPM doesn't always work on the first reading. Haven't tried it while swimming or shower. Charges really fast and lasts for about two days.

I've been wanting a fitness tracker so I don't always have to carry my phone to measure my activity, but it took me a while to finally bite the bullet. I wanted one that syncs with the S Health app on my Galaxy S9, and I've read mixed reviews on various trackers. I ended up ordering this one because I figured it was the most likely to sync seamlessly with another Samsung product. I am really happy with its functionality. I'm even using some functions that I had not expected to use, like sleep tracking. And it's nice looking to boot, not too bulky. I bought various bands for it and they all look nice, but I really like the look of the white band with the black/red Gear Fit. So far (one month) I've had no problems with it. I'm surprised at how quickly it charges, too.

I was looking for something small and sporty to use while being active and this has worked perfectly so far! The device is fast to respond, seems to be tracking accurately, and I like the random reminders to stay active.

I had the original about a year and finally died the day the Fit2 was released. I love it! not only is it elegant, it's an Apple watch with class. :)
The battery life is better than the original by a day or two. Has lots of options to personalize it to one's own style. Waterproof, and love the Black/Red combo. The only drawback is the size. I had the original one in large and it was just a little bigger than I would have liked. So I went with the small. Well, the small is almost too small. I'm an average size guy 5.8' 145 and it goes between the 2nd and 3rd notch from the end of the band. if I gain any weight, I'd be having to use the last notch in the strap. Overall, it's great. Tracks all my activities and having notification pop up on it is awesome when trying to be discreet

So far, this watch has been pretty good. I haven't had any technical issues or anything like that. The 4 start rating is because there are some features that sound nice in theory, but really aren't very beneficial. You can answer calls through the watch, but they actually answered on your phone since the watch doesn't have a speaker or microphone. The emoji replies you can use for texting are very limited so most of the time I end up using my phone to choose an emoji or reply to messages.
There is an app on the watch to enter your calorie intake to your myfitness pal profile, but you can only increase by 1 calorie at a time and there is no nutrition information. If you have a 300 calorie meal, you have to push the ^ button 300 times. You would also need to know the exact calories if you want to add them through your watch. This feature would be way more beneficial if you could select from a list of favorites or frequently added meals.
Overall, I pretty much use the watch for step and sleep tracking, as well as heart rate. It is nice to get notifications even when my phone is on silent. Occasionally I will play music directly from my watch, but I really need to find a better pair of Bluetooth headphones to take full advantage of that. I also use the timer and stop watch quite a bit. Other than that, I don't use too many of the apps. Many of them perform pretty much duplicate functions so maybe some space could have been freed up for other more impressive functions if those were cut back. It really is a decent watch for the price though!

Not satisfied with this product all. When using the stopwatch feature, the battery would only last about an hour or so. After three months of use, it completely died. I couldn't return it to the store because it was after the return period. Trying to deal with sending it back to Samsung was worthless. I just ended up throwing it away.

I had a gear fit 2 and was happy with it but it didn't calculate stairs. I ended up buying the gear fit pro. Happy with it but it also doesn't calculate stairs very well. My house has lots of stairs, over the 10 foot minimum.

Liked my sales person - was very knowledgeable - like this fitness tracker too. I does some things I wasn't expecting (encourages me when my pace walking is good, reminds me to get up and be active when I am not). I DO NOT like that the charge doesn't last long (1 day if I don't have it on power saving) and it also doesn't track my elliptical as steps - which the sales person said it would. It will time my elliptical as well as calories used and heartbeat, but does not count steps - sigh -

I totally love this! I really like how well it works with the Samsung Health app. There are a lot of features I have yet to use, but seem to learn something daily. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because of the battery, it needs charging more frequently than I thought (less than 48 hours) and there doesn't seem to be the community that fit bit has. Although that could be a friends thing. I love that you can change the face of the pro as well, makes it even more fun!

The small was too big for my wrist and didn't always read my heart rate accurately. We bought a large band and my husband now uses it. The apps are great but the battery life is awful. If you have a small wrist, definitely wouldn't recommend. Also have to charge every few days so that is annoying. Other than that I did like the band and the exercise options it gives such as lunges and squats pretty good accuracy while performing each rep

I've bounced around from the Fitbit, Nike Fuel Band and Apple Watch. Switched back to Android so I figured I would give this a shot. It is very comfortable and has all the features I'm looking for. So far I am very happy with my purchase!

I have my Fit2 paired with my LGv20. After some trial and error and finally downloading the ALL of the apps required to make it work, I have found the smartwatch very useful. Most smart watches do a pretty good job of tracking and reporting activities. This one has an intuitive sense that identifies inactivity and when I have started or ended a workout. This helps me tremendously because i am not discipline in tracking and recording my own actions.
the other initial challenge was it holding a charge. It would not last more than 12 to 14 hours without needing to be recharged. I let it charge for two days and since then have been able to go at least 2 days without having to recharge even though the watch is being used more and running more alerts.
Another key factor, I switched from another name brand smartwatch and it left a mark/rash on my wrist where the contacts were. this watch has had no negative reactions to body contact. Only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because of the lack of clarity on setting up the watch for use. It is geared for samsung phones and leaves other phone types to be discovered through trial and error. I am also not sure why the charging issue was when i first bought the watch and then disappeared even though it said i was 100% charged.

I originally bought a Vivoactive 3 and after 3 weeks returned it due to inaccuracies and it wasn't friendly to operate. After doing my homework I went with Samsung and I LOVE this watch! HR is very accurate especially in comparison to the treadmill and elliptical at the gym. It's user friendly and has all the options I want. This watch is perfect and I absolutely recommend it. The only reason I wont give it 5 stars is that I wish the battery life was longer.

The watch has been pretty solid for me. The battery has been pretty solid, never worrying throughout the day. It's a bummer you can't respond to text by voice but at least you can read notifications.

This is a lightweight watch and activity tracker and having it connect to my phone is convenient as it saves me from having to hold my phone as I workout. I have my phone inside of a waist band so it still needs to be present for the phone features to work on the watch, but that doesn't bother me.
