Better sound quality than Air Pods but...

I have an iPhone for personal use and a Nexus 6P for work. I grabbed a pair of the IconX's so I could have the same wireless experience as my iPhone with the air pods. The IconX's fit better in my ear and has superior sound quality. I also love the controls on the earbuds but the one issue is the pretty weak battery life compared to air pods. Because the sound quality is so much better I want to listen to music more but can't. This product is superior to Apple IMO in the areas that matter except battery life. I hope version #2 takes care of that.

Works beautifully with Samsung Galaxy phones. I love that the earpieces automatically turn on when placing them In your ear straight out of the charging capsule. You can jog and lift with them in your ear without worry of them falling out. The music and call quality is crystal clear. Better than most Bluetooth headphones. There are other little surprises this thing can do with a tap. If you have a Samsung phone I highly recommend this product. Pair it with the Samsung S3 watch and it becomes even more magical. Apple wishes their earphones looked this good.

I got these during a sale at Bestbuy and got a good deal, thanks best buy. Now to the review. I have cited Pros and Cons in the order in which I experienced them, hope it helps you. Major Con: Battery when operated standalone (no bluetooth with phone) unfortunately is not long enough for longer than about 2hrs, so good for a half marathon but no more than that. Pros: The iconx fit really comfortably in my ears, but it took time to find the right accesory combination (those included in pack were sufficient). IconX are fun, definitely there is a trade off in getting rid of the wires, but if you are like me that never carry my ipod/cell with me while running, you see the benefit of not having to deal with the wires/cables in front of you, and having a 4Gb memory included, is simply great. Cons: I like to think i am tech savvy, but it took some time to fully set them up with my music playlist in to the iconx memory, problem I had was that I have my music managed by ITunes in an iMac, but finally got it, so it is possible. Pros: Some videos say the L and R have a synching glitch, but i experienced that and followed the manual in the box for FAQ, and that fixed it. Also, some YouTube videos help a lot, so KUDOS to those who took the time to help us. Cons: I wish Samsung's video were more detailed step by step to make our life easier. Neither Pro nor Con: I have had them for about 45 days, have used them 5-10 times, only a couple after the final set up, and have really enjoyed them, like I said above, a bit better base wouldn't hurt, but I have to yet play around with the mobile app, which I believe has an equalizer section to manage your settings. For sure, the will not sound like your audiophile earphones in my opinion, but they do the intended job. Cons: They are a little difficult (sensitive to touch when in motion) to control when running especially if you wear gloves, but if you have a well organized Playlist, you will be fine. Pros: I like that Samsung kept the external noise safety features, but earplugs can be too sensitive to surrounding noise at times especially if in a closed room, in which case you can turn that feature off easily. Bottom line: I have enjoyed them, it is a good product, but in my opinion, if they were les expensive, maybe more people would buy them. Good job Samsung.

I love the fit, quality and sound reproduction but the battery life at best is two hours. But given the size of the unit and comfort I can live with it but think they should be able to do better on battery life in the next edition.

Battery life is about 3-4 hours. 4Gb of music is plenty. The workout feature is awesome! They also stay put even while running and do NOT back out of my ears like other earbuds!!

Bought these on a whim, seen them in the store and thought they looked really cool. They started off promising. Connected right to the phone, sound quality was pretty good. They fit comfortably and stay put. Most importantly no wires. They are also great to use when I work out, they do a good job tracking my heartrate and work well with the SHealth app and they stay put well, they've never fallen out during a workout. That's where the pluses end. After using them for several months I'm disappointed. When used in Bluetooth mode they only work well indoors, the minute I step outside the sound starts to cut in and out as soon as I stick the phone in my pocket, or put my hand on the top of the phone, or walk past power lines, or move my arm. The only way to use them outside is too put the phone in a shirt pocket or hold it in your hand, even then they tend to drop out frequently. They are nice on the plane too, but again if you use them on Bluetooth mode the battery won't last on a cross country flight, says they'll last up to 4 hours on a single charge but I barely get two, not to mention they won't plug into the plane's system so you'll still want to use plug in headphones there. Then suddenly today the volume dropped out on the right headphone, looks like they'll have to go back to Samsung for repair. It still makes sound but at a much lower volume than the left one. You'll also want to make sure you keep them plugged in when not in use. If you leave them unplugged for a few days, even if they were fully charged when you unplugged them, they'll go dead after a few days. The case holds enough charge when full to recharge the earbuds maybe twice. They also didn't include a charger with them, for 169 bucks it seemed like a cheap move on Samsung's part.

These have great sound but battery life could be better. Also, I bought these to listen to my books on my kindle. It wouldn't work with my kindle b/c I couldn't download the app for the headphones on my kindle. Now they rarely get used. Waste of money. I bought other headphones to use with my kindle.

Samsung was closing them out for $50.00, so I picked up a pair at the local BB. Sound is fairly good. Battery life is weak. A couple hours of music. Maybe an hour of call time. And they disconnect from my Galaxy S7 Edge too often.

Bought these a month or so ago and they are nice. Ease of use...Pro: very intuitive. If you can follow instructions, you can set these up quickly and begin using them for your workouts. Control is pretty simple. They pop right into my ears and they will not fall out. Con: Loading music has to be done through the phone and it is time consuming. When you load music onto the ear buds you cannot organize the music into playlists. So if you want to listen to playlists of music for your run or workout, you can carry a phone or IPod. To use the buds with an Ipod, you will need to turn off phone Bluetooth. They seem to connect to phone by default. Once I turned on the Bluetooth (IPod), it connected, I did nothing. All controls worked just fine. Battery life is good. 2-3 hours. Recharging is quick and the case also holds a charge. So you can charge the buds 2 or 3 times just by placing them back in the case. Very cool! Sound quality for music is ok. For the price, I expected a little more oomph. Base response is pretty low. If you have an EQ on your music device, you can boost the low end and get a nice sound. But if you are running music off the buds, there is no EQ and music is just ok. The buds will read you your text message and act as a headset for calls. There are two very cool features for runners, walkers, bikers, skaters and other workout fanatics...heart rate monitor and the Ambient Sound feature. With a touch of your finger to one of the earbuds, you can turn on/off either feature. Ambient sound turns on the mic and you can hear cars, conversations etc as long as the music is at a moderate level. You can synch your workout though your phone. These could have better sound, support playlists and be less expensive, but they are very good. I am happy with the purchase and would recommend them to friends.

    I wanted to like them...

First off, I'm a Samsung guy. I have well over 10 Samsung products in my home ranging from phones to flatscreens. I love their products... with this one exception. I read the reviews and thought, this is the perfect set of headphones for me! I'm a fitness fanatic that goes to the gym a minimum of 5 times a week. Since these were designed around fitness coupled with the fact that they are Samsungs, I jumped in head first. At first all seemed to live up to my expectations. Good sound, no wires. Built in storage so I could leave my phone alone while i worked out. And I was so eager to like these that I blinded myself to the obvious flaws that now make me wish I never purchased these ear buds. PROS: Good sound - Not the best, but they do the job. Comfortable - After a 2 hour gym session my ears are pain free. And I've yet to have them fall out. Built in storage - No more need to lug your phone around. 4gb of internal storage let's you store your beats in the buds. CONS: Battery life - if you stream music, don't ever consider these. You'll be lucky to get 1 hour of play time. Playing from storage gets you about 2 1/2 hours. Power drain - For some reason, these things will bleed power when left in the charging case. I returned one because I thought it was a defect, but the replacement did the same. They have to be charged after every use if you don't constantly use them. Unbalanced charging - When I do actually get the case to charge, one bud will be 75% While the other is 50%. Even though these buds do have some cool features, the problems have these things sitting in the bottom of my gym bag unused. My jaybirds are still my go to. Even though they aren't true wireless headphones, I can go 3 days before they need to be charged and they sound much better. Maybe the iconx 2 will iron out these problems, but as is, I recommend you pass on these true wireless headphones. They were a true disappointment.

When i review items, i like to give first impressions of the item and then give it about 2 weeks to come up with my results on how i feel about it. First impressions: Packaging: 10/10 Looks sleek and very well put together. Not too much paperwork and guides are straight forward Product: I love that the headphones charge in the case and that the case isn't too big or too small. I like that there were different ear clips sizes and different ear bud sizes. Sound output is awesome when connecting to my S7 Edge. I like that is has the option to let in outside noise so you are aware of the noise thats happening around you. I love love love the you can connect it to any device that has bluetooth so its not only for one specific brand.I love that the charging pod holds a charge so it doesn't have to always be connected to an outlet when charging; perfect when on the go! One of the best things is the look of them, they just look amaze! The negatives: I have 2 phones, the S7 Edge and my iPhone 7plus and multiple tablets. Works seamlessly with my Edge but anything else connecting via bluetooth is a miss 99% of the time. The audio comes out distorted and sounds horrible. You get better sound from headphone at your local dollar store. I also dislike the fit of the headphones. There are different bud sizes and different ear clips, but its a hassle to fit them onto your ears. I find myself shoving them inside my ear to keep them in place. That negative leads into the negative with them being touch sensitive. When putting them in your ear you find yourself pressing against the touch sensors and either changing songs or making selections you didn't want to happen like starting a workout. One of the biggest negatives is that the battery on the headphones only hold about an hour to and hour and a half. Thats not enough to use on a road trip or even on normal use throughout the day. Final thoughts: After about a month of use with these headphones/Buds, I like to idea and the concept of them but i think they missed majorly on execution. I think to myself that if they rushed production to be ahead of apple and not focusing on the overall product...Note 7....Hmmmmm. There are too many issues with these buds for me and i don't think i would recommend them to family for purchase. Purchase price at $150-$200 seems too steep for a product with this many issues and not that great functionality.... Good try Samsung, ill be waiting for your improved version in the near future.

It a cool concept, but right of the box I could not get the left in to connect to the computer. They have great sound but when a call comes in only uses the right ear bud for sound. Wait for the update pair or buy the Airpods from Apple.

Love the fact you can turn on Ambient sound feature so you can hear people talking to you and your music at the same time. Only disappointment I have is keeping the earbuds charged seems like the case that they come in drains that your buds after a while but it's worth putting up with. Best headphones to workout in I've found. Also can download songs into the ear buds.

I love almost everything about these headphones, they last for a decent amount of time (about 2.5 hours for me) the case has sufficient recharge capability for travel. The only problem I have is the range. When I put my phone in my back pocket it has a hard time connecting to the headphones. When I leave my phone on the counter I can only make it about 15 feet before they disconnect. The alexa integration is awesome, but only works when connected to the bragi app on the phone which is even more finicky than the Bluetooth connectivity. Pros include: battery life, low profile, audio transparency, and auto switching left and right earbuds when you take one out while your one the phone with somebody. Cons include: Connectivity.

They randomly disconnect from time to time and seem to have to sync periodically while in use. So far battery life isn't great if you leave them in their case for keeping. They just run down and when you go to use them it's a no go. Can't sync with my Windows 7 Bluetooth for use but works with Windows 10. Not sure if just a hardware issue or not. Controls don't quite work as the instructions state. Overall sound is good. I enjoy how they fit. Hoping over time I can overcome the quirks.

This was bought because I needed something instead of waiting for apple's. They sound good. They stay in fine. They work for earbuds or as phone Bluetooth. They have all these other great features that you can't use on iPhone. Oh well. Expensive considering the things that don't work with iPhone. But work just like they said they would.

These headphones fit nicely and securely, the sound is clear and loud, but they are too complicated in use. I couldn't adjust the volume without activating the activity tracker option which became very annoying very quickly. Then they started to mess with my volumes on the phone while they were stored in their container, so I had to turn off the blue tooth if I wanted to have volume on the phone. And their battery life is very short, so I had to return them.

So I've try most Wireless and true wireless headphones in the market and no matter how good they are there is always the volume problem that most people experience with Android devices this will give you the best volume and very decent sound the only downfall is the battery but if you want loud and good bass you might have to just get used to it or wait until the iconx 2018 release.

i received the Gear Iconx earbuds for Christmas and found it very easy to set up and download songs to. the sound quality is excellent and the only negative thing is that the battery life is not that long, but knowing I can recharge it with the included carrying/charge case two time before plugging in makes it great.
