I'm a regular shopper when it comes to buying new components or software. After purchasing the smartphone ( Samsung Gear S). And contacting AT&T to get the unlock code to use with my carrier, I was amaze with the performance. Independent dialing and it's own number. Grab me a $25.00 calling plan. That was all it took. Your own GPS etc ! I could go on and own with the user-friendly apps

I love my watch! I use it for everything . If you exercise it is a great device to keep up with your steps, running, walking, biking and hiking. I use it a lot to challenge my self and the great thing is that if I'm sitting in one place too long it lets me know that it's time to get up. I love it too because I have the option with connecting it to a mobile line or not.

I got the watch and immediately worked right out the box, it did not take long to active it and fast it was working. I enjoy it while driving since I do not have to look for my phone I can take the calls from my watch, so no ticket for talking on the phone. I also run with it so it tracks my miles with running app. I also monitor my heart while running or working out. I have many apps on it but I really like listening to my bluetooth headphones while running, and I do not need my phone with me, all I need is my watch while listening to my music or one of my apps streaming music. I also like that it has the gps so I never get lost, while running long distances or on my bike. its just awesome.

Great watch. Easy to read display and easy to use. I wish it had more apps available but it handles my main ones which are email, text, and phone perfectly. The real benefit for me was when I left my phone at home, the calls are forwarded to my watch, and with the addition of sim card, I am able to never miss a call. The speaker and the microphone are awesome as I can be driving with the window open and it sounds as clear as if I was on the Note 4.
If it had interchangeable bands and more apps it would have it all. It is worth every penny for sure.

I bought this watch after a week since its first release onto the market. I am using it everyday as my cell phone. I have since not seen any connection issues that have been different from my cell phone in Florida. Since under heavy usage the battery does not stay charged Samsung included a extra battery that can be used as you go. The Gear S has gotten a lot of compliments since I first wore it. It looks elegant in style around my wrist where it sits comfortably. The watch is designed to tailor to anyone's size wrist. The feel of the glass on the watch, takes the Gear S away over any other competitors. The rich colors that the watch has are better than any phone I have seen. You will need to try this watch for yourself to feel how luxurious and stylish it truly is and feels. My only complaint is that the watch does not come with a camera yet, to include, during bright Florida days it makes screen reading very difficult. SKYPE through Samsung watch in the future very possible.

Great Features, Durability and Quality

It wasn't easy to locate the right watch, but I found one that gave me the functionality and features I needed. This isn't the first smartwatch I bought either, I have an LG G watch, MS band and Moto 360.
The Gear S combines the features I wanted from the MS band and Android watches along with the added bonus of being able to interact with my phone in sneding and recieveing calls, texts, emails and more.
Call quality is great, no one I have spoken with even knows I am talking to them on my watch. Texting with the touchscreen can be a little awkward at first, but it's easy to get used too. There are also two keyboards types that I have found to be quite useful to use.
Battery life is awesome and hands down beats both my android watches and MS band. When paired to my phone and data is always on I can get at least a day and a half of use (50% battery left) before I have to charge it for about a few hours. I have used it as a standalone device and have noticed that the battery drain is a bit more noticeable, but it hasn't been a problem for me to get at least a good portion of the day's use out of it.
Also I love the durability of the device... I wear it at my job and people call me crazy for doing that with such an expensive watch, but I tell ya it has stood up to what ever comes it's way. I work unloading a truck and have bumped up against (and rubbed against) steel shelving units with the watch face while putting freight onto pallets. The watch band this watch uses is also really good because it won't get pulled apart like my moto 360 did when the watch gets caught while pulling a pallet in close quarters. Voice commands are also really good, would be nice if i can schedule a task or something but it's not a supported function. Still I can verbally set an alarm for when a task is due and a timer to let me know how long before I have to do something. Even using the voice typing in a text is really good and pretty accurate.. I have sent some longer messages and shorter ones to let someone know I am working or to get a hold of me later. The only thing that kinda hinders the full potential of texting with this watch is that you can only compose a 160 some odd character text with the watch.. Hopefully they raise this limit but until then it's still quite usable.
Personally I would recommend this watch to anyone, it's well worth the cost provided you have a supported samsung phone (which I do).

My primary purpose for this purchase was to utilize the S Health pedometer (Steps) however it seems like my cell phone logs more than the watch and I am not quite sure which is correct. The whole point was to buy the watch so I would't have to carry my phone at all times especially when walking around the house. I wish there was a ear phone jack available, and long as Samsung has been making these watches you would think it would have one by now. Also unlike the S Gear II there is no camera, not a big deal breaker but they did go backwards. Trying to text on the little thing is very hard and I have tiny fingers. Unlike the phone there is no speech to text option. So for the money I do not think it is worth it, and have contemplated returning it, but I'm not really one to return stuff so I'm stuck!

This watch is a fantastic combination with my note 5. I rarely have to take my phone out of my pocket for anything and I mean anything. You can control everything from this device; music, text, emails, internet, etc. Even if for any reason you forget your phone at home the watch still functions as a fully functional phone, making calls sending text and so much more. It has great Bluetooth capabilities for headsets and even without one it has a very loud speaker and mic system. Overall this is the best smartwatch I've ever owned and I purchase one for every phone combination I buy. Hope this review helps a few people make a great satisfying purchase.

Honestly, I wasn't even in the market to purchase THIS smartwatch. I was going to wait and switch phones to an Apple Phone AND Purchase THE Apple watch too. But, for my birthday a friend went to BEST Buy and this watch was advised and sold as a Smartwatch that DIDN'T need a phone and that couldn't be further from the truth. In theory it's cool. I researched reviews and stats on this Smartwatch and the reviews were positive. Hmph.lol After getting the watch home and trying it, the cool factor was out the window when it had to be charged. My Bluetooth ear buds didn't sync automatically and you had to get your phone out and pair it again...every time. And forget transferring your pictures from the phone because it won't happen. There's no camera, but I was ok with that. The texting capability was fine but it was an arduous task because the keyboard was too small. And even that wasn't bad. I love that I can make and receive calls directly on the phone but I couldn't get past it needing to be synced every time I charged it and even freezing often which rendered it useless. I returned/exchanged it 3 times...both watches. Ultimate, I had to return it. It is great as a wach and very fashionable.

I had the original GEAR watch for 2 years. It became an indespensible part of my life. Now I have upgraded to the GEAR S. I love it. The fact that it has its own phone has rescued me a couple of times already from a dead phone. It feels and looks good. I do miss the camera a little when showing it off but I really very seldom used the camera. I highly recommend this watch to anyone with an android phone!!!!!!

It works great. White definitely gets dirty quickly. I suggest replacing the bands for a different color. The only thing I dislike is there is no way to block unwanted calls. Nd if u have a number block on ur smartphone while using auto forwarding the number will pop up on ur watch. But overall still love it.

The watch was a breeze to synch up to my Note II. All of the mail and contacts synched up and connecting to the AT&T network was no issue at all. It's wonderful leaving my Note II at home and forwarding all calls to the Smart Watch. With my bluetooth headset, I almost feel invisible versus hold a big phone to my head. The speaker is the right angle so when your hands are on the steering wheel, the speaker is tilted for optimum hearing. Folks on the other end say my voice is better than when I am on the Note II. My only issue is the 1.75 days of battery life. But given its size, I guess I can live with that since it charges rapidly in about 2 hours.

I always assumed that a smart watch would be a toy more than a useful communication device. I was wrong. The watch's features help me keep in touch without having to pull out my phone repeatedly. I especially like the fitness uses it provides (heart rate monitor, pedometer, goal setting, etc.). The built in text responses, ability to text from the watch or talk using the watch as a bluetooth on my wrist make keeping in touch handy.

It's a great watch! Having purchased several watches with similar technologies, this watch is top notch! It's practical, durable, and easy to navigate through the apps. Its sleek design is always an eye-catcher! I just can't afford the separate number as a stand-alone, but the bluetooth works great up to various distances.

Bought this for my husband because I like mine so much. Some difficulty at first pairing to his Samsung Galaxy 4 but solved that problem. Listens to books via Bluetooth from his watch. Love that feature and the ability to make calls without phone near in an emergency.
