Con = having to turn on/off WIFI manually. Pro = everything else. It's sleek, stylish, functional, and way better than an Apple Watch. Firstly, because it costs about half as much, if not less for some models. Secondly, it does it all better. Pick and choose from tons of different watch faces, answer calls, view texts, create calendar dates, and do it all with the revolutionary face dial with ease.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 650 headphones, which are built for studio/audiophile use. I wanted to use them wherever I go, so I had to solve two problems: 1. They require much more power than consumer grade headphones, so I either had to use a headphone amplifier or I needed to find a phone with one built in. I ended up finding the LG V10, which was the best choice for HiFi audio in my market. This meant I had to find a solution for problem 2 that is LG-compatible. 2. These headphones don't have an inline Android or iOS remote, so I wanted to find a way to control track forward/back, play/pause, and volume without having to pull my phone out. I did my research and ended up deciding on this smartwatch. So far, (two days later) I am very happy with my choice. The music control app allows me to control not only the Google Music app, but also handles the Tidal streaming service and even Hulu. I was extremely pleased to find that everything seems to work just as well with my LG phone as it would if I had a phone by Samsung (except that Samsung Pay isn't available for non-Samsung phones). As for cons... The only thing that is disappointing at this time is the lack of available apps and watch faces. I'm content at this time, but I would love to have more apps and faces to choose from. Now I have an almost perfect mobile audiophile system (at least as perfect as I will ever be able to afford). Also, big shout-out to the Best Buy Samsung rep who let me pair my LG V10 with the "store demo" Gear S2 Classic so that I could be sure that my phone and the Tidal app were compatible with the this smartwatch. -- Matt

I was contemplating a Gear S2 classic ( $350) or a PebbleTime Round ($200). I almost gor the Pebble because of the price difference but I'm soooo glad I decided to get the Gear S2. You can do almost everything on your watch that you can do on your phone and it works great. If you;re going to get a smart watch, you might as well get the one specifically made to cater to your phone. it's so much fun and convenient.

Purchased this item with skepticism, after using for a week no complaints, keeps track of your activities, emails, messages and of course time. Very elegant and stylish. Battery life is decent, although I do charge it when I hit the sack. Someone complained that screen turns on with every wrist movement, not true, at least not in my case.

I purchased this watch for my husband as a Christmas gift, but unfortunately had to return it. I had purchased this over the sport model because I had hoped it would double as a dress watch. The classic model, however, is for use as a Bluetooth watch only and my husband wanted to use this with a 4G plan as well. Other than that, I would highly recommend as this is beautifully designed.

I purchased this gear on black friday after watching the price for about a month, truthfully even if the price had not gone down i would have still purchased it. This is an awesome product I came from the Samsung gear fit, my what a huge difference. The layout and different customizable features are what I like the best. Sadly because I have an extremely tiny wrist at the end of each day my wrist would hurt terribly because the gear would constantly run into my pisiform bone either the band was too tight, or too loose which caused discomfort. I actually returned this item and purchased the Gear S2 sport and the fit on that one is very comfortable. If you have a fairly tiny wrist i would definitely make sure the gear fits comfortably before buying it sadly the bestbuy in my area only has the gear s2 sport on display not the classic.

I wasn't all that interested in smart watches, mainly because they looked more like a big piece of electronics strapped to your wrist with a band. That was until I saw the gear s2 classic platinum. It looks like a classy real watch but with all the fancy electronics built in. I have received numerous compliments on it and even have a couple of coworkers chomping at the bit to buy one. Just about everything I want the watch to do it can do, hearts rate, weather in multiple locations, sports scores, track my workouts, step counter, email/text notifications, calendar, flash light, phone finder, music app controller, and on and on. One of the few complaints I've seen by others is no speaker but that is what I have my smartphone for. So this isn't a negative for me. Overall very happy with it and would recommend over any other smart watch.

The watch makes it so easy to stay on top of notices, emails, etc. without pulling my phone out; and the twist dial is a great improvement. I would have given it 5 starts, but it doesn't come with a Qwerty swipe keyboard (like the older model). There are a few swipe apps you can buy in the app store, but I'm unsure how they work on the round face.

I love the look of this smart watch, I love the way it interacts, i love the design, and the size of the screen.. I love this watch.. But it doesnt friggen Support ANY THING.. The whole reason i wanted a smart watch in the first place was for navigation, Driving, Hiking, Fishing, Having a portable gps on my wrist would be awesome. Now this little watch doesnt have its own gps nor did i want it to.. I wanted it to use my phone for internet and data, and location, and just display the map to me.. Well its got a "maps" tool, and they got awesome hiking gps trackers.. but nothing that lets you actually Navigate to or from a place.. just get google maps, and stop being cheap samsung. Now on to S voice, Sure is awesome to be able to life up my watch and say " hey watch do me a favor" and it'll pop up the voice message box from the lock in screen.. and then i tell it to do somthing; like create an event, Navigate home, Call Baby, create contact, set reminder, set alarm(btw your phone and your watch have seperate alarms, and theres not really a way to set a Vocal alarm without a blue tooth speaker or something, and I'm not really the kind of guy that wheres a nice watch to sleep) ; and all i get is "unfortunately, that is not supported" If you want this watch for anything more than a watch/activity tracker that you can read texts from, don't get it. If you content with that, Buy it, its awesome, but limited. All in all, Its a great looking, Fast, watch. Looks great, Performs great. However S Voice Ruins the watch, big key factor in smart watches is its ability to do things hands free. and S voice Doesn't Support any of the commands i tell it to do. Commands that S voice has, Are not supported on the watch, things i can use it for on the phone, don't work on the watch. I want to keep it for a watch and a text message reader... I wanted it for Hand free Guidance through my life, but it has failed me. Considering returning it and waiting untill they get this sorted.

I have a LG G STYLO 2 it works so good! And the battery last for a few days. The only thing I've noticed I don't have a SMS app.... But I can message... It's weird... When I command it to text someone it says SMS not available but it is...I assume it because I don't have a Samsung. This watch is truly amazing and the range is pretty good.... It does suck it has no speaker on it too. It would've been nice to be able to talk on the watch... But maybe in the near future they will change that... Right now it has three option but has to have a Sim card AT&T or Verizon. Plus they don't have this color scheme with those watches. Overall I recommend

Battery life is better than expected. I started Friday at 6am at 100%. Sunday night when we came back it was at 18%. Tons of option on faces and the heart rate monitor works well. I would like to see a rubber replacement band included and possibly a butterfly clasp to make it even better.

The pictures do not do this watch justice. The Rose Gold is beautiful! I changed the band's to make it less dressy, but in 2 seconds you can change it back to the Ivory leather. Very easy to use and customize.

Samsung watches keep getting better, I owned a Gear S and I liked it, I had the 3G one but, with time I realized I wasn't using the watch by itself so when the Gear S2 classic came out, I sold my Gear S and got it and up to now the decision has been solid, I like how everything with this watch rolls so smooth and the S voice is right on the money, I like the watch faces and that I don't have to get up my bed and turn off or snooze my alarm in my phone because I can do it right from my watch and yes, it is that comfortable that I can wear it while sleeping and it doesn't light up at night because I put it on do not disturb mode. All in all, up to this point, the Gear S2 is working out for me.

This watch gets so many looks. The best watch you could get in 2015.

Such a great Smartwatch. Gives me all the notifications I want and battery life can last 2 to 4 days (depends usage), and charges quickly. One issue is the step count doesn't work properly but I didn't buy the watch to count steps. Don't recommend if you want to count steps. There are other options for that. But other than that, great SW.

The Gear S2 is by far the most functional and beautiful wearable yet. It uses Tizen OS which has had more experience in wearables than any other OS. A truly incredible device.

I have been shopping for smart watches for a while now. So glad that I decided to go with this one. Easy to use straight out of the box. A very small learning curve but that is how it is with all new things. I went with the Gear S2 Classic over the Gear S2 because you can wear this watch with any outfit. Change watch bands is too easy as well. Being able to change the watch face to whatever you need is perfect. You can keep it simple or you can set it to your workout and keep track of distance, heart rate. I don't know how Samsung will ever be able to top this.

In general I like this watch but it has many short comings. Since this is not Android Wear and using the Samsung Tizen for the watch's operating system it is lacking quite a bit and there aren't many apps for it right now. I did keep the watch for Hangouts notifications which my work uses and also text message/phone call notifications, if it weren't for the fact that hangouts was working on the watch I would likely have returned it. It is an attractive watch and I like the fact that it uses a standard watch band so I can replace if I choose to.

it works just great for me. its nice watch both looking and working.

Bought this for my husband, he loves the look and they way it works! The only thing he wishes was the ability to talk when he receives a call. We also bought another gear so he can use it to answer his cell while he's at work.
