This is my first smart watch and I'm not disappointed! The aesthetics are superb, especially the gear s2 Classic. I had read about the disconnection issues with your smart phone via Bluetooth from online reviews but I have yet to experience that issue. In terms of apps, yes, not as many as other more established platforms (Android wear, iWatch) but the potential is there. It definitely has the essentials, like S Health, Nike Running, S Voice, Weather, Uber, ESPN, Yelp, and others. The rotating bezel is definitely a great and ingenious feat! Battery life is pretty good compared to other smart watch reviews. I average about 2 days between charges with medium use. The only bummer is that the speaker feature is only available in the 3G version with a data plan. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend this smart watch!

I've been monitoring the market for quite some time now. I have coworkers with the bulky Apple watches who gave hit or miss reviews, but then there's the stylish S2 Classic. I actually waited for the S3 to roll out and wait for the video reviews before I bought this one. I prefer the S2 over the S3 because it isn't as tall. You'll notice identical components, memory and power between the two. The S3 does have a larger battery to compensate for the larger screen. The S2 Classic fits me and my style perfectly. I get a lot of compliments on how nice it looks. It performs very well. I could ding it for the one time it glitched, but one incident doesn't merit a deduction. Basically there must have been a hanging process that quickly drained the battery. I almost became bored of the watch, until a coworker challenged me with "wouldn't it be cool if it could do..." ...long story short, it does it all. I can quickly reply to text messages to my wife at work, check game scores, weather, send driving instructions, use voice commands, etc. It's been a really nice tool to simplify my day to day life. It also updates me when I reached my walking goal and tracks my heartbeat. Same OS as the S3, but if you're looking for a bigger screen 1.2in vs 1.3in, then S3 will be your best bet. For me, 1.2 is perfect and the watch isn't as tall. It does what I need it to do and it has all the bells and whistles that I like. I don't regret the purchase one bit. I've had this S2 Classic for about a month so far and absolutely love it!

I am in love with my Samsung Gear S2 Classic in Rose Gold! I've had it for a month now and enjoy it. It's mostly for getting notifications ASAP instead of having to check my phone every 5 minutes. The speak to text works well. Syncing with my phone via Bluetooth was super easy! Full charge on the watch lasts about 2 days. Very feminine which was why I bought it since the others looked too sporty. Changing the band was hard to do but was doable. Overall, I love it and glad I made the purchase!

This watch is overall very nice. The build is quality and the style in my opinion works with any outfit especially when I change the watch band. The step counter is ok, but probably like other step counters that are on the wrist its not the most accurate without arm movement. Normally my arms move when walking, however if you are carrying something or pushing a shopping cart around where arm movement is less its a good chance your S2 watch isn't counting these steps. The heart rate monitor and get moving reminders are both good features that seem to work like expected. The wireless charging is awesome and so are the watch faces. This watch would have received a 5th star had it had a speaker, but overall I am happy with the watch.

This was a gift, love it, check notifications and see whose calling without grabbing the phone, also works like the fitbit keeping track of steps and heart rate, sending text and recharging is so simple great watch.

I love this watch! It's not too big for your wrist, I wasn't sure at first because to me it looked big. I'm waiting to buy the Gear S4, hoping it's like this one! Can't wait until it comes out!!!

I bought this watch for my husband who is a tech geek for Valentine's Day. Some stuff it took a little getting used to- his phone would say he had a txt message but he couldn't find it on the watch. Overall he loves the watch. We first looked at the watch that had the rubber watch band. But after seeing the watch in the store (and the cheap quality of the rubber watch band) I went with the leather watch band. Plus we read that the leather band can be switched out with any watch and you like from the store. The only option for replacing the rubber watch band is through Samsung.

I originally was waiting months for this watch to come out, anticipating it to be the next great device out of Samsung. I was a little disappointed with the overall look of it. I'm used to the bigger faces on watches and I felt like the S2 Classic was on the smaller side. Plus the watch does not have a speaker so you are unable to make calls directly. You can control calls, but no matter what you would have to take out your phone or connect a bluetooth (which i don't wear at all times). The rotating bezel is cool, but not functional since it's easier to swipe the screen. My larger fingers are not delicate enough to use the rotating bezel. Overall the watch is cool, but not 100% satisfying.

So far I am very pleased with this purchase. While it is admittedly an unnecessary device and duplicates many of the functions of a phone, it is still a very classy looking timepiece and saves me from having to reach into my pocket for my phone when I get a call or email or text message. The watch tells you who's calling so you can decide whether you want to answer. And it displays your emails and text messages, in addition to weather warnings and things of that nature. I'm still learning about the many functions and apps, but so far I'm quite happy with it.

This smartwatch is very nice. Beautiful looking and the rotating bezel makes it so easy to use. This is the nicest looking smartwatch made to date. It was done right by Samsung as far as looks. The rotating bezel makes it so easy to use and find the information you need quickly. The biggest issue I have is that the operating system used is Tizen and not Android Wear. This won't affect 95% of the people that purchase it, but I needed to mention it.

This watch is a good looking timepiece.It is easy to use and highly intuitive.It has a great selection of highly useful functions and a single charge does really last 2 full days.

I was one of the first purchasers of the Gear S2 Classic. It's a great looking watch. Not geeky. Lots of functions and the best part is the available faces and apps are growing. The guts still need some work because the step counter is significantly below my fitbit and my Samsung phone's counters. Hopefully this will get corrected in time. Also, sometimes finicky about waking up and showing me the time unless I'm "forceful" about moving my wrist. But all in all, good concept that will hopefully improve further with time.

Love this watch. It works well and it's durable. The battery life is great, if I use do not disturb when I'm working I can go 3 days without needing to charge it. (I do use a lower brightness level) even on the lowest brightness settingssettings I can read it at night easily. Don't hesitate, it is very worth the money. Broke like me? I bought an open box, great deal. Warranty is worth it, got that too. No complaints yet and I've had it 3 months now. And. .. sorry apple #sorrynotsorry it beats my boyfriend apple watch. No contest.

Now that I have had it for a couple of weeks, I can’t believe what I did without it. I got the Platinum one because of the way it looks. I think it was worth the extra price. It vibrates when I receive an email and with a quick swipe, I see on the watch who it is from and if it is one I need to see, I can either read it on the face, or pick up my phone. In the case of spam (usual) I go back to what I was doing without any interruption. If I am interested in the weather a swipe in the opposite direction will tell me that. There are many other things also, but basically, almost anything I can do on the phone I can do on my watch. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

LOVE THE WATCH, VERY EASY TO USE WITH THE ROTATING BEZEL.. IT STAYS PAIRED TO MY NOTE 5 EVEN WHEN I AM USING A BLUETOOTH HEADSET. I DO WISH THERE WERE MORE APPS FOR IT..... MAYBE SOON.

Great looks. Good battery performance. Powerful software. Easy to operate. Somewhat difficult to learn. Wish it was waterproof.

Don't get me wrong, I was a big fan of the Gear S. The only problem I had with it was the quality of the charger and how the plastic clasps could easily break rendering the charger essentially useless. The wireless charger for the Gear S2 was a necessary and welcome upgrade. This watch looks like a regular watch and the design of the classic is very, for lack of a better word, classy. The only drawback that I've found is the lack of a sleep tracker built in like the Gear S had. You can download one, but the battery drain on those is VERY significant which is not worth it at all. Other than this, I am very pleased with the watch

This watch is great. I've read alot of negative reviews but there are truly no flaws. Yes there is a lag from the phone to the watching vibrating, but dear lord, it's a signal and no big deal. The screen is bright and vivid, the apps work perfectly and best of all it looks great. The other smart watches are simply two big and look comical on the wrist, they are more designed for young adults and teens. This watch is very stylish and comfortable to wear. Don't give it a second thought, get this watch.

Samsung makes great things. We all know this. The Gear 2 Classic is a cornerstone in their smart watch collection. The features are a bit lacking, however. The leather strap is a nice addition. The watch looks very classy, as compared to its non-classic counterpart. The rotating bezel is a great way to navigate to your applications. I wish there were more watch face options included. I recommend this watch, but understand it won't do everything you'd expect. The looks and wow factor are 5 stars. Battery life is decent (2 days tops). Consider buying an open box item to save a bit more money.

I really like the look of this watch. I bought it for my sister and she really likes the look also because she can wear it with anything. The bad thing about it is she has a had time syncing it to her Motorola phone. I was told that the Samsung watches will sync will with all android powered phones. I wanted to get her the Motorola watch but they were sold out in every store around me so I got this one instead. She enjoys all the other features but she just can't receive calls or text
