First let me say this watch looks great. I had to return mine because after a software update it started not to work as good as the it did at first. I have the none LTE version and it works great. I will say about the LTE version as it is great to be able to take calls on your watch even if you don't have LTE hooked up. Hopefully they have fixed the issue I had. My only other grip is there are not that many apps for Samsungs tizen os. I would still buy another later to see if they have it fixed now. Hope this helps.

I got this device as an add-on when my wife bought an S7. I'm not into the fitness apps, but I like the ability to use it as my phone when I want to leave my S5 at home. It's a useful Bluetooth device when driving in my wife's car (with the car connected to her phone.) And, guess what - it's actually a watch with a variety of face choices. It does support apps - I use the calculator, the timer, and the calendar, read emails and messages, I haven't used the find-my-phone app - so far, the call-my-phone techique has worked for me when I can't remember where I set it down.
The Gear S2 Classic power supply will last a full day if it's connected to the phone via bluetooth; much more power is used when separated from the phone, so a recharge is needed to get through the day.
It's a fun toy, somewhat of a conversation piece at this point, and it's more convenient to glance at the watch than pull out the phone to check the time.

I like the options it has and the idea of not having to have my phone with me at all times. I wish there were more apps available, but hopefully that will come in time. There have been a few times that I have not gotten a notification of a text message and then find there is one on my phone. Overall, it is a good deal.

I had been wanting a smart watch for a while now, but the first few generations of watches just didn't seem that great. The wait is over now, as this watch is awesome. I love just about everything about it, from the look to the way you interact with it through the rotating bezel. My only complaint is that the Tizen OS has a limited number of apps and watch faces.

I love the look of the watch. It has so many different faces you can choose to use. It meets all of my expectations and more! I can take and make calls from my watch. Can leave my phone at home and still be in contact due to my watch. The speaker is great. It is a great fit on my wrist also, not too big! It has a lot of neat apps.

I had doubts on getting it but since its at the cheapest rate possible as part of the promo i took it. I like the looks of it. Not looking like a toy or any smart watch. It looks and functions great. Very classy and to use it is very easy. No need to be a tech savvy.

Nice Watch But Inaccurate GPS and Step Counter

I really liked everything about the watch, except it is inaccurate. I tested it simultaneously with two other wrist based trackers. Went for a few walks/hikes and this watch always logged about 20 percent fewer steps and 20 percent less mileage than the other trackers, even with GPS tracking. I believe it undercounts if you start/stop a lot and the GPS distance tracking appears to be off if you backtrack multiple times. I don't recommend it because of these inaccuracies. BTW, I did multiple manual step counts to verify the inaccuracy.

It takes some time to get adjusted to all the apps.
The fonts are to small and tough to make out.
But still enjoy the watch.

First I wanted to start by saying a lot of research went into finding the version with the speaker. It's not marketed and even the best buy guys weren't sure about it but I knew enough to point them in the right direction. The quality of the screen display is great and default it feels solid and nice on the wrist. Definitely something to show off. The speed of the watch is incredible and the remote access is great too. I'm absolutely in love with Smartwatches because of this.

To go along with the purchase of a new S7 active, Bestbuy had a promo where you could also get a new smartwatch for around $50 dollars. This was a great price for an accessory that I'm convinced is now necessary. It isn't the watch itself that jumps out as a perfect piece of technology but all that it offers, combined with number sync (fancy call forwarding) makes it close to perfect. The set up takes a solid minute and the watch walks you through the basics of using the device. After everything is set up there are a variety of useful and not so useful apps available depending on your wants or needs. The watch can sync to your phone to place and receive phone calls (for select carriers) , text messages, email, etc. The only improvement I wish was available would be a quick mobile data on/off toggle. The watch itself syncs via bluetooth but can also consume data when not connected to wifi but the amount of data used by the watch is minimal compared to your regular smartphone. Great buy for anyone in the market for a new smartwatch. There are plenty of 3rd party aftermarket bands to swap out as well for customization.

Once I found out that you can load music to it and sync to it with wireless Bluetooth headphones AND link it to my phone and take calls without having my phone... I was sold!!! I have really enjoyed the watch.. haven't worn a watch for almost 15 years... and it's not bad. The classic is the way to go IMO. The bezel is alot easier to grip/turn. This little watch really is pretty powerful

Watch integration with my phone is spectacular! Syncs read emails, text messages and notifications so when I go back on my phone I do not have to review old material, or vice versa. I love S health and is integration is also seamless. Great stand alone without the phone for while working out or running errands too! A must have for Samsung users!

I'm an avid Samsung user, and had to get this watch. If you have a Samsung phone this watch works almost perfectly all the time. If you have another Android model, expect issues. I will say that I had issues with the battery life after about only 5 months. But still a good product.
