As a faithful samsung customer I had high hopes for the gear s2 and I haven't been too disappointed. The features in the samsung gear app allow for every app on my phone to be allowed to send notifications and even receive feedback via the gear. Tizen may have been a weakness but I can get all my Google services notifications: hangouts, Gmail, and messager. I can even reply right into those apps! Testing the 2-3 day battery claim right now and I hope by using Google reminders I will update after I find out.. if I actually find the time :) as of right now, get the gear, you will love it!

Overall this Smartwatch is very nice. It is light weight and very durable. I wear it at work where i bang it on stuff and scrape it against metal, so far it is still looking brand new. It looks nice as long as you are not wearing it with anthing too formal. For a smart watch I would say the battery life is very good and the speed/ function is exceptional. However It does not have many apps, or useful ones anyways. Hopefully they add more over time like pandora and some other big ones like that. I would give it five starts except that it wasn't all that big of a deal. It is nice, but it didn't impress me as I thought it would. I have it synced with my Samsung Galaxy S5. I feel that my phone is more than enough and at that point the watch is sort of useless other than to tell time. My phone does everything it can do and it really is not any more convenient than my phone. So in the end, it's a great watch, but for what it does, it's really not worth it considering the price.

This watch is pretty awesome. Has a great look and appeal to it. Pros: Great look and style Convenience - all of your notifications and messages right there on your wrist, and you can even respond. Phone integration (with Samsung S6 Edge, don't know about others) Cons: Technology still has room to grow Watch face can sometimes turn on easily, causing you to change things in error Not yet enough apps, but it seems to be getting there

Previously I used Samsung Gear 2neo, Gear S and Gear S2 now, it is far better then those I had, much nicer and easier control with the new rotating bezel. Extremely happy!!!

I have a difficult time hearing/ feeling my phone ring when it's in my purse and have been looking for a smartwatch to bridge to my phone for a while. After researching online, I decided to wait until this watch was released. Today. So glad I've waited. The setup/ connection to my Samsung phone was seamless (once I figured out what app to download- I got a Spanish one first!). Download direct from the Samsung site. It's a much easier go. Pleased with the look and functionality. Still having fun playing with features. No disappointments yet! Nice round box design, too!

I love this watch! I've had it for a month and I'm glad I waited for the silver/white combo. The interface is smooth, quick and easy to navigate. I think this is the best form of function and style from a smartwatch. I've even had people comment about how they like the design. I've even had people ask me if it's an Apple Watch smh. The cons I have about the device is the bezel ring started to get loose after just hours of having it. It still functions but I think the build quality could be better. And I do wish Samsung didn't remove the speaker as previous models like the Galaxy Gear and Gear 2/Neo had this. I know the 3g model has this feature to make calls on the watch, but I don't like the added thickness because of the cellular radios inside.

I own the original Pebble watch, I like most things about it except the style, it doesn't look very nice but is very functional. I have been looking for a nicer looking watch with the same functionality. I tried the Moto, very nice looking watch but the battery wouldn't last a day and the vibration was so weak that you didn't notice it. When the Gear S2 came out I purchased it right away and here are my findings. PRO: the battery lasts about 35 hours without trying to conserve, that works for me as I charge every night. The charging cradle is nice, no plugging in, it just nests, charges fairly quickly. A multitude of watch faces to choose from, texts are easy to read and respond to. CON: The vibration is just ok, you need to have your strap tight to feel it , hands down the Pebble has this watch beat in that category, battery life too, the Pebble will run for days without a charge. The vibration is important to me as I keep my phone in my pocket, I don't feel it vibrate or hear it ring sometimes. Switching between watch faces could be a little easier but that's no big deal. Summary: I like this watch and I will keep it, it is nice looking and except for the vibration I like everything about it.

I've sampled a variety of smartwatches over the past few years. What I've come to learn about myself in the process is that my priorities are notifications, heart rate tracking, step counts, activity level tracking, and tracking runs/bike rides via GPS. This watch hits all but one of those points. Notifications are nice and seem to provide me with the right amount of information. The circular dial motion to move around is quite intuitive and seems to be the wow-factor when showing off the watch. Heart rate monitoring is good, and even with it turned to be the most aggressive, I consistently got 2+ days of battery life. The 24-hour activity level view is great too. While not a true sleep tracker, it did give me a good idea of what my restful sleep time actually looks like and a relatively nice overview of what was going on over the past few days. Bluetooth range to my GN5 was pretty good - useful a couple times that I mislaid my phone. I thought the alarm vibration was pretty good. It's too soft to really hear from further than a few feet, but does well enough for a muted wrist announcement. My main gripe is the lack of built-in GPS (though there is a version of this watch with that capability - plus the ability to make calls) and it not being as stylish as the classic. My perfect watch today would be the gear s2 classic w/ GPS. But if you don't quite need the marriage of the two, this makes a great wearable!

This is a very good watch. I looked at several different smart watches. What really sold me on the Samsung Gear S2 was the Rotating Bezel. Also, the no "Flat Tire" was a big plus. The only possibly negative thing is that there are not a large amount of apps for it yet. The battery life is excellent on this watch.

This is an excellent watch from Samsung. I got this watch for my wife because I think this is one of the only watches out there that is little bit more female-friendly. It has excellent battery life and the user interface is very fluid and fast. This watch doesn't have a speaker but it does have a microphone which means you can make call if you connect it through your car's Bluetooth or any bluetooth enabled headphone. The vibration is adequate and I think the functions are properly aligned with today's needs. The display is very sharp and Vivid and easily readable in direct sunlight. Overall it's a very light weight watch with beautiful watch interfaces. This watch only lacks a speaker and stand-alone GPS other than that I highly recommend it.

Great device. I love it, battery lasts much longer than expected. With limited use, could easily last 2+ days. Still learning all the cool features it comes with. The rotating bezel is a great feature. I don't know how I lived without it. Screen is beautiful and can be very bright, I keep mine at 3/10 on the settings. It has a sensor built in the screen and when you look at your watch in daylight the screen automatically gets brighter so it's easy to read. Not a lot of apps in the samsung store yet but the device is still relatively new. I've heard of the bands breaking but I've yet to see any wear on them. As an active individual the watch sees plenty of abuse but she's held up great so far. After plenty of research this is the device I chose for my needs. I am very happy with my choice.

Sansung Gear S2 pairs great with Samsung Galaxy s5 Android. Get all your info on the watch, convenient way to check text messages without having to look at the phone. Keeps track of health stats. Battery life is about three days, easy to charge, just lay it on the charger.

This is the first smartwatch I own, so there's not a lot of perspective. But what I can say is that this is a flawless, and attractive device. It does what it is advertised to do. I wanted a fitness tracker, but since I don't want to wear 2 devices, I also need a watch and don't want something that looks like a laptop strapped to my wrist. So this functions as a watch very well and there's a multitude of watchfaces to buy, either free or paid, or make your own when you're bored. As a fitness tracker it works well, is very accurate with steps, but it does lack a GPS. So for distance, especially for a bike ride, you have to tether it to the phone's location sensor. Not a huge deal as I can't imagine going for a bike ride without the phone anyway. The Moto 360 sport that just came out, does have a GPS built in, so all things being equal I may have given that one a try. However, built in GPS on a watch will for sure kill the battery, so there's a trade off. With normal use I easily get 2 days on a full charge with the Gear S2. Other than those 2 functions (watch and fitness tracker), there's a bunch of apps that may be useful, but I haven't really given them much of a try. The maps app is pretty bad and the screen is so small, even if it worked well I doubt I'd use it. Notifications are fairly useful, but I don't see why I wouldn't just pick up my phone if it's nearby. But for the price it's a very cool piece of tech that really functions well as a high end watch and the fitness tracking is motivating. The fact that it is on a Tizen platform may be limiting as far as what's available for it in terms of apps, but again, I don't see how a smartwatch needs apps anyway since it's so small. For me it serves a purpose and smartwatches are in it's infancy, so this is about as good as it gets for now. Oh, and I don't use it with a Samsung phone. I've heard there are more apps and functionality (Samsung Pay for example) that is available if it is paired with a Samsung phone, but I refuse to use a Samsung phone at this time (too much bloat). Works fine with my Moto X 2014.

I bought it as a mother's day gift for my wife. She loves it. She is an RN and she can't always have her phone out while on the floor so I got her this so she can get her notifications without taking her phone out. She is able to text, check weather, step count, alarm, email, the list is too long. Battery life is great, she can go almost three full days on a single charge with the screen brightness down to 6-7. I bought her extra bands so she can change them out when ever she feels like it. Very sturdy and just the right size for her.

I have a Samsung phone so syncing and connecting the watch was easy. Battery lasts around 35-40 hours while connected to phone via bluetooth, which is as good as can be expected. There is no speaker on the watch, so it is unable to play music or take phone calls, but calls and music can be controlled by the watch with the audio coming from a connected bluetooth headset or speaker. I am still trying to figure out the easiest way to use the keyboard for texting. I have created saved messages and primarily use those. 4 stars instead of 5 because the watch does not have a speaker.

I purchased this smart watch at the Samsung bar at Best Buy. I received excellent service including the assistance of setting up the watch which did take over one hour but they wanted to be sure all the features were working. I've had the watch now about two months and it's great. The charging dock came included in the purchase of the watch and it's so easy and convenient to use. The watch is easy to use and customize. I've loaded about ten extra Samsung programs and they all work fine. The only thing is that it doesn't do is to let me view my emails. I can even watch You-Tube videos on the watch.

This watch was for my 14-year-old son's birthday. He loves it! It is connected to his phone via Bluetooth and he receives texts, phone calls, calendar notifications, etc. (which is handy for me since he always has his phone on mute in his pocket and I can't reach him as easily). It is easy to work, attractive, has changeable clock faces and different apps. It is a nice size, especially for a smaller wrist. This watch doesn't look as clunky or techie as some other smartwatches do. Highly recommended!

This watch was ok. If you plan on getting it spend the extra for the classic. The band on the regular gear s2 broke after 1 week. I was able to take it back and a few weeks after notice it was starting to break again where the "easy connector" connects the band to the watch. I took it back before it completely broke and got the classic. That has been better so far. The screen is sharp and the bezel is cool. Battery is good for about 2 days. Hoping more apps come out for this soon like android pay so the NFC can be used. Samsung pay only works if you have a compatible phone. S health is limited you have categories like running or walking to choose from and your heart rate will be measured and calories burned. But only when doing the selected activity, if you go to lift weights it stops measuring the calories burned. Overall a nice watch needs some app updates is a little small but still looks good.

I like the Samsung GearS2 but it is a bit expensive for what it can do. I can see text messages, phone calls and emails but my ability to respond is limited to choices preloaded on the watch. I can swipe to answer the phone or not answer but I have to then pull my phone from my purse because there is no microphone so I can't be heard. Not a major problem since I was aware of this before the purchase. Just think it should be less than $299 compared to what other watches can do for the same price. Not particularly happy with the watch face choices.

This is the best watch that Samsung came out so far. They got all the previous experience in previous watches and with the rotating bezel they made this smartwatch awesome ... the screen is very good outside and inside, also durable (I already hit a couple of times). Just some more apps and the connection with Androids phone is one of the best option in the market.
