Customers often highlight the Gear S2 Smartwatch's user-friendly interface, stylish design, and ability to make phone calls. They appreciate the convenience it offers and the notifications it provides. However, the limited battery life and the lack of available apps are common complaints.

Wish I had done a little more research before purchasing. I like the gear 2 watch better because you can take pics n vids, use as a remote for the tv. This watch is more like the fit bit.

Was super excited to get this and quickly became disappointed. I gave up my fitbit for this and it was super glitch and had no fitbit like functions. The calling and texting was never synced. Now I'm stuck in this contract. I do not recommend this. Wait for the second one to come out maybe they will have enough hiccups fixed

I got this for $1 in a promotion with AT&T when I bought a phone from them. Doesn't come with instructions and it does not work well unless your phone is nearby also. Not worth the $10 a month I pay to have service on this watch. Why don't products like phones and these watches have instructions? It baffles me.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Or at least not until you get out of Bluetooth range. Then you get like 14 notifications from 3 days ago. If I was to do it all over again, I'd pass.

All I can say is I love, love, love this watch! Originally had the Samsung Gear S, but it died on me 2x in 1 year, so I wasn't going to get another one. I decided on the Gear S2, from AT&T. BEST choice I ever made! Tried the Bluetooth version first, but returned it and opted for the 3G model from AT&T because it has the speaker built in, which the Bluetooth version DOES NOT. I prefer being able to listen to music and take calls from the watch alone. Much easier to dismiss voicemail on the S2, than the S, Better watch faces and easier to navigate than the original S version. Battery is outstanding if connected via Bluetooth (in standalone mode, battery drains substantially throughout the day though). If you're looking for a smartwatch, this one's for you!

I received the watch free with the purchase of my Galaxy phone, however I returned it after 5 days, for someone who is older, it was hard to set up and understand, I also did not like that I had to get a separate phone line for the watch and kept getting text messages once I figure out haw it worked. To confusing and time consuming for me so I took it back. AT & T took it's time crediting me for the charges one my bill and even threaten to send it to collections since I would not pay for a phone I did not own. What a mess.

After waiting for two years for a smartwatch that meets my needs & standards to come out, I've finally found that watch in the Samsung Gear S2 3G. It is well-designed and attractive-looking. It looks classy, curvy, and sporty. It is light, durable, and the straps are comfortable to wear all day without irritation. And now that extra straps are finally available for purchase, I can mix and match to customize to my delight.
The display is fantastic! It's bright enough for the sunny outdoors and its auto-brightness function works very well. Pictures and texts are nice and sharp. Kudos to Samsung for figuring out a way to include a light sensor without having to do a "flat-tire" look like Motorola or not having it at all like the Huawei Watch.
The rotating bezel is a genius idea that Samsung has implemented very well. It is fun to use and functions very well.
The software (Tizen) is smooth, lag-free, and accurate. The notification system works very well, as well as the calling and texting functions. The speaker is surprisingly decent - pretty loud for a tiny speaker and the people on the other end of the conversation say my voice comes through very clear and loud, sometimes better than my Bluetooth headset! :)
I've had this watch since the 3rd week of November and already within the past month, the Gear App Store has been growing pretty well with new useful apps and better watchfaces. I was initially very disappointed with the Gear App Store but looking at its improvements just within the past 30 days, I have hope that it will continue to get better. The Gear App Store, at the moment, needs a better categorization system. Although the App Store presents the user with different categories, you find the wrong type of apps inside the categories. For instance, a lot of regular watch faces show up inside the Entertainment category.
At the moment, there are less than a handful of things Samsung needs to improve on.
One, fix the categorization mess inside the Gear App Store.
Two, S-Voice. It doesn't always recognize my wake-up command. And it cannot set reminders yet.
Three, fix the Always-On Mode. When this feature is offered in the watch and I turn it on, I expect the screen to be always on and show me the time of the day (basic watch function & reason for its existence). Currently, with the Always-On Mode turned on, the watch will go from Full Watchface Mode to Dimmed, Ambient Mode, then turn off completely after a while. It shouldn't be that way. The watch display should stay on in its Dimmed, Ambient Mode so I can always look at the time without first having to rotate the bezel or press a button to turn the screen back on. This is my number one annoyance on the Gear S2 right now. A Gear S2 app developer told me that Samsung has done this on purpose so they can maintain their marketing claim that the Gear S2 gets double the battery life of an Apple Watch. I understand why marketing folks want the ability to maintain this claim in their marketing promotions but the user shouldn't have to suffer for it. If you give the option in the watch for Always-On Mode, then give us proper Always-On Mode.
Four, slow firmware updates. Compared to Europe and Korea, us USA Gear S2 users are getting firmware updates more slowly despite launching first. Across the pond, international Gear S2 users already received firmware updates that provide additional useful settings and software functionalities. Software and software updates are Samsung's traditional and ongoing major weakness. I would be overjoyed to see Samsung improve upon this critical area and bring delight to its users.
Overall, I'm satisfied and happy with my Gear S2. It's a great watch and Samsung has done an excellent job.
