This watch is awesome. Not only does it look nice, it functions well too. I can see my texts at a glance and respond. I downloaded a qwerty keyboard to assist with typing. The watch has many faces to choose from. It rings, vibes, makes an accepts calls unlike the gear s2. The larger screen is also a step up from the previous model. The classic and frontier are also both 3g available from carriers. I love this watch

I have had a total of 13 Smartwatches to date and finally I have found the "One". I have tried Almost every Android Wear device and was bored with all of them within a week or so. I have also tried the Samsung Gear S and the Gear S2 and while the hardware was great the software was terrible. Finally Samsung has got it right. Performance is smooth as glass and battery life is crazy good 3+ days with heavy use for a smartwatch that does eveything I want it too. It's the first device of it's kind to feature a 64bit processor using 12nm die (great for battery life) and the Super AMOLED display is beautiful in any light. Speaking of the display it has an ambient light sensor under it and is covered with Gorilla Glass SR+ which is better in some ways than Sapphire Crystal. I am using a non Samsung phone and everything works perfectly. If you are looking for a smartwatch that's actually useful this is the one. Buy it now (it's on sale for $299.99).

Samsung Gear S3 is a great smart watch. I am using with iPhone6s and it works really good. I like the notifications and features of this watch. I used to have iPhone Watch and I don't miss any features. I am not a gym rat, but I do exercise every day and it fits my needs.

What I Always Wanted Out of a Watch

I like the design and layout of this watch. First of all, it looks like a watch and not a smartwatch or a fitness tracker. It may be disappointing to some that the number of apps and widgets available is somewhat limited but I continue to find new uses for it every day. The ability to change the watch face on a whim is especially useful if I want to focus on either the time, the weather, the number of steps I have taken, etc. I have used the phone feature several times, and my friends and family say the quality on their end is just as good as my Galaxy S6 phone. The running tracker in S health was quite a bit off so I'm concerned about the accuracy of the GPS tracking. Still, this is a software issue and not a physical watch issue.

Samsung Gear S3 Classic Smart Watch

I got this watch to wear and give an honest review and have been wearing this it for about 3 weeks now and I am very impressed. It is very stylish to be worn every day or to high class affair. Samsung put a lot of thought into the design and function of this watch. You can easily change the watch faces and even design your own after downloading a free app. The rotating bezel makes it easy to find and access the installed apps. Apps can be added and the icons rearranged to your preference. You can answer and make calls directly from the watch and the sound is very clear. The people on the other end of the call have no idea that you are not talking from your phone. The SHealth app automatically counts steps, monitors sleep, exercise and will even give you a nudge if you haven’t moved for about an hour. The watch has an “always on” function which will only show the watch and not the background until you raise your arm. With the “always on” function on I get just over 2 days of battery life but if I turn that function off I get a little over 5 days without recharging. I only have a couple of cons and they come under the heading of personal preferences. The watch band was a thick leather and not very pliable which may correct itself in time and for my usage I would prefer the “Home” and “Back” buttons should be reversed but this is minor and not a deal breaker.

    I Love This Watch!!

I received this as a birthday present. I already have the Samsung Note 8 and the watch is an extension of my phone. I love being able to check my notifications without looking at the phone. It tracks my steps and calories burned. I like being able to customize the watch straps with 3rd party products. The watch itself is beautiful and gets so many compliments. There are games you can play too, in addition to customizing the watch face. I would recommend this product. If you need to decide between this one and the Frontier, know that the Frontier is only available with limited phone carriers and you have to have a data plan for it. You can still use data on this Classic, but you have to be connected to your phone in order for your watch to access the phone's data connection.

    S3 "Classique"

My affair with the Classic lasted only a day. I ordered it online with excitement but changed my mind when I saw it and the Frontier in person. I liked the rugged appeal better and I also owned a Moto 360 2nd gen with a silver finish. Functionality, they are the same. I love the way alerts seamlessly turn up. I have squeezed almost 4 days out of the battery. Coming from Androidwear, I was a bit apprehensive about Tizen and the apps situation. All the basic apps (Whatsapp, email, messages etc.) work with the S3 Gear and my S5. I have yet to try Samsung Pay. Samsung Health is a must have app! It actually predicts your sleep patterns. I don't wear my watch to sleep but I 'don't get a question from the app to confirm I was asleep during a particular period which was dead on!!! AMOLED display is very rich and detailed. These watches are not huge. I tried the S2 prior to this and couldn't do it. It felt a little silly trying to read messages and email on a 40mm device! Step counter is very accurate along with the stair counter. They are still kinda hard to get but if you are on the fence about it, I'd say go for it. Lastly, the call quality is very good can be used as a handsfree device, until the laws change!

Great Watch... Once bloatware scaled back.

I have had this watch for over a month now and am really enjoying it. Not only does it provide great functionality, like text messaging, email, voice calling, thousands of downloadable faces to choose from, etc..., it's also a great looking watch, especially with the leather alligator strap. The only issue I had with it initially was the bloatware that came with it fully enabled. I use this watch for business but the S-Health app came installed with everything enabled and my battery wasn't lasting through the work day. I was also getting constant reminders to walk, exercise, etc... which are really annoying when I'm in meetings. Once I disabled all the S-Health reminders, notifications, trackers, etc... my battery life went from less than a day to now where I only have to charge it every 5 days or so.

This was a great purchase. I'm a watch lover that may not have to buy another one anytime soon. The flexibility and ease of changing the band and face is a "better than expected " feature. Tracking steps, floors climbed, getting my txt and emails all on the same device is great. Sounds like you are talking on the actual phone when taking calls.

I like my S3 classic. i initially thought the classic meant the dial screen but you can download any face watch you want. That's pretty neat. The apps are good and you get your email and other app notifications as you set up one your phone. The only one issue that the watch could potentially be causing is for my note 8 to become a brick. then i need to hard reboot my phone. again, not sure if its the watch but it pretty much started after i started using the watch. I could be wrong though.

When I purchase this item I at first bought my husband a DIFFERANT brand .He was quit upset I had spent so much money on him .But after using it he fell in love .After a few days it would not stay connected to his phone .He was DEFINATLEY bummed . So I went back to BB & spoke to the very kind young man and he suggested the Samsung G3 .Well of course when the hubby seen that I spent more on him he was upset .Of course the truth was he was ecstatic like a little kid .He loves watching his calories burn away every step he takes he can read his emails take calls and so much more .I highly recommend the Samsung G3 to anyone looking for a GREAT SMART WATCH . YOU CAN WATCH SOMEONE GO FROM ANGRY TO ESTATIC JUST AS I DID . GREAT PRODUCT WITH A GREAT PRICE!

Having been an iPhone and Apple Watch user for a long time I recently switched to Android and looked into a new watch to sync up. All smartwatches seem to be geared to staying fit, etc...and as a result the bands on most of them are cheap or at least cheap looking. Also be aware, changing bands on the Gear is not as easy as with Apple bands. When trying the Gear S3 the first thing I did was change the band to a nicer aftermarket band. Not as many apps but enough to make it worthwhile and the watch construction seems sturdy and pretty much love the look and business functions. The only downside is the size is a bit too big to suit me personally but do like having the larger screen real estate to a degree, That and the thickness of the watch makes it tough for business wear when waring long sleeve shirts. Ideally a 42mm round watch face and reduced thickness, then you got a nice watch. 46mm size does have its advantages but can look pretty silly unless you're a really big man. Would I recommend this watch? Yes, but be aware of it's size!

To start with, coming from the Moto 360 1st Generation I have to say this watch has great battery life. Design-wise, it grew on me and looks just much richer than my previous watch. I initially missed the always-on display when on dock and had to buy a real digital clock to palliate my nightly glances at the watch to check the time. Samsung Gear goes heavily after both Fitbit and Apple, so it has some really nice features like "Together" that allow you to compete with friends on steps; or see your ranking compared to people in your age range or all other users of S Health. Talking about S Health, it does remind you to move when you've been active in the past hour; so that's really amazing for your health! The voice assistant is subpar when compared to Google or Siri, but it does fill up most of the gaps. Where it fails is in contextual understanding since Samsung's core foundations aren't search and machine learning. Try have it understand "Rogue One" for example... good luck. With that said, it's an amazing product, overpriced (could have cost half that) but if you're a Samsung fan it's a no-brainer.

I really got this to replace the apple watch. First of all it's better, bigger in control and physical appearance as a wrist watch. The software has some issues with iphone but in general works well. I get my texts, Whatsapp messages, and pretty much all notifications from the phone. I doesn' have the PING which I miss from the Apple watch. Also I haven't been able to answer calls and talk through the watch, though it does ring through the watch.

I own a Pebble and an ASUS Zenwatch. I still have them but so not use them. I also have about 6 regular watches. This has pretty much become my daily driver even though I love all my watches. It is as stylish as my nonsmart watches and more functional than my other smart watches. I can do texts with voice auto reply or custom hand write. I can actually take calls. I have had it last 4 days with no charging and not switching to ultra power saving mode. My exwife owns one and she switches the bands out to match her outfit. Translation it's easy and it uses standard bands. The only thing I could want is battery life like a regular watch and GPS as good as a garmin. Oh and more apps. But it handles all of the functions of the phone great. I can read an entire email or text conversation. I just can't see images.great watch. I would find it for less than 300 online or open box that's what I did. Great watch though. I have an S8+ ex has an s8 so I don't know how it will fair with non samsung or an apple watch but my experience has been phenomenal.

I really like my watch. It makes a lot of things very convenient. My favorite feature is the ability to use samsung pay. It's even easier than pulling out your phone. The one thing I would like it to have is the ability to turn on the HR monitor while I exercise. I was using a Polar watch before and it's activity tracking is amazing. I miss that but over all it is a great smart watdh.

Coming from the Asus Zenwatch 2,wbich I had for 2 years and absolutely LOVED IT... but the battery started to die fast and it wouldn't charge most nights... This Samsung watch is actually pretty cool. Does everything my Zenwatch did and more. I was worried because I don't use Samsung phones. But it works flawlessly with my pixel 2xl. Definitely recommend it.
