They appreciate the convenience of Samsung Pay, fitness tracking capabilities, and the wide range of watch faces and customization options. This watch is everything I was looking for. Its keeps me up to date with all my emails and texts. Has so many free watch faces that its hard to pick one! And it looks great with lots of choices for bands. Love the watch!

After I first saw release information on the Gear S3, I wanted it. I was afraid the buildup would lead to a let down, but so far I couldn't be happier. The watch is beautiful and looks great even on my smaller frame (this is to big for my wife, but I can pull it off even as a 5'8" small framed man). The Samsung pay option is a great option and should i decide to be active the S Active app is cool (stairs seem a bit spotty. If I go up quickly it doesn't pick them all up). I also love the different options to respond to messages (dictate using S-Voice, old fashioned number to letter typing like we did on our flip phones when texting started, or if you choose you can hand write each letter and it does a nice job recognizing). All in all, I am very happy with the watch and hope it holds up long term

I almost gave up on smart watches after having a Motorola 360. That was a great watch but after the battery life failed me many times I didn't want to wear it. This is all been fixed with the Samsung S3. It has a different operating system and very intuitive. I can keep the battery set to always display and use it throughout the day with plenty of battery remaining. The smart watch is truly the best one I've ever owned. The S Voice is clunky and I agree with others. But everything else this watch has to offer is perfect from exercise to notifications to being Wi-Fi enabled and having a microphone and speaker built-in to make phone calls it's a watch with a stylish design that I receive compliments on often.

I've had the Gear 2, the Gear S2 classic, and now the Gear S3 frontier. Going from 2 to S2 classic, I loved the loss of the external charging contracts (instead having wireless charging) and looking much more like a watch. It lost more that I wasn't too happy about (like sleep tracking, among others), but they seemed to fix things slowly. I got the S3 Frontier and they went above and beyond. Much of what I've become accustomed to, is there in the S3 frontier. But beyond that, it added the GPS (separate from phone), a barometer, a larger screen, and seems to be built stronger than its predecessor, as well ("military grade").
My only complaint of the entire platform (Tinzen) is that, though better than it has been, there is still a lack of apps... Specifically common ones (like a SLACKER RADIO control, but does have a Spotify one). I don't know if this is Samsung's fault (for not pushing an SDK) or the developers (because they are lazy or don't wish to develop for Tinzen)... But that could change, and I hope out does.

Upgraded from Gear S2 to S3. Could not be happier. Very comfortable, feels more substantial on my wrist than the S2, easy UX to navigate and lots of apps and screen designs available. Phone function on the watch works really well and notifications are seamless with my phone. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love this watch! It's a great addition to my Samsung 8 plus. It has a great battery life and a beautiful big screen. I was skeptical about the size since I'm a smaller female. But even with the huge face, it looks and feels great. The sound is great when making calls compared to my old Apple watch. This watch is light years ahead of its competition. I do wish there were more apps, but the available apps are good enough for me right now. I would highly recommend it, you will be glad you spent the money!

I've always been an analog watch person, what held me back was the look of most smart watches, they didn't look stylish like the analog watches I love. I like large watches and the S3 fulfilled the style that I would look for in an analog watch. I like how I can simply change the face anytime for whatever my mood might be.
The tech is nice and works seamlessly with my Samsung note 8 phone. I never thought I'd care how many steps I take per day, now I just keep walking to hit my goal if I haven't reached it before I go to bed. Great watch, great tech, and looks cool too!

Overall the watch is great. This is my first smartwatch and functionality is very nice. If you wear long sleeves the bezel does turn occasionally activating the watch. Speaker is very good and receiving and sending texts are nice. If you want to type a message the keyboard is not very functional. I voice text nearly everything. Battery life is only about a day and a half at most. If you use the watch on a regular basis that is what you will find you will get. If you don't touch the watch I'm sure you could get the advertised amount of days.
I have to use the always-on function because I have found that just turning your wrist to activate the watch does not always work. That could be a good part of the battery drain. It does go into a sleep mode but you can still see the watch face. Overall I think that it is a very good functional watch. I would recommend it to a friend. The watch face is a little large but I would not want it much smaller.

THE GOOD (HARDWARE): This watch is amazing looking, and hardware is beyond any wearable device out now. Battery life is great compared to all other devices, even better than the iwatch. Its large screen makes it easy, and fun to view, and the bezel makes it easy to navigate.
THE BAD (SOFTWARE): Tizen lacks!! The OS just doesn't do everything you expect.. It seems Samsung has decided to completely ignore all google apps. Apps for the device are super limited, and you're forced to use their preinstalled apps, again no google apps, or choices of other options for things like music, messages, and contacts. The whole feeling reminds me of how apple has forced everyone to lock into their ecosystem.
S-voice, doesn't understand you, and its feedback never provides much help. At times S-voice has decided to just say that it cant help you at this time, and leave you hanging to figure out what that means. Also using the keyboard is horrible, but if you want a better one you need to pay for it--where is swype?. Again, I will stress that if you have any google apps like hangouts, inbox, play, google photos the device has no support for it, and if you decide to for instance want to answer a hangout text, then it will prompt you to use your phone...feels like a beeper.
BUT, don't get me wrong there are some things it does right, S-Health is amazing, talking on the phone is clear, notifications, and news feed are easy to read.
I would recommend this to users that are already using Samsung app, but If you prefer android I would say either wait, or suck it up for the hardware, and looks.

I've had this watch for over 2 years now and besides when it glitches and freezes on me and it has to be reset it works great despite everything I've put it thru. It has taking quite a beating and even flown 6 feet in the and hit the floor hard and it still functions. It took a licking and figuratively keeps on ticking... sorry had to do it.

The device itself is great. I wish there were more apps available, but the purchase of it is a different story. The device went on sale at Best Buy but was never in stock during the sale. A manager said I could get a price adjustment once they were available in the store, but his store never got any more. I went to another store that had one and they would not agree to a price adjustment as the other manager had promised. I had to wait for it to go on sale again and get a price adjustment. Luckily I am an Elite member and got 30 days to do the adjustment. It went on sale 20 days after I purchased it. It was very frustrating.

One of the things I really missed when I bought a S2 was floor counting. The latest update solved that. The image quality as well as responsiveness is a step up from the S2 as well. Feels like a "real watch" on a man's wrist as well. Love it.

I have tried many of different Smart Watches and this one by far takes the cake. It lasts much longer than anything else that I have tried and also I have kept them all basic OS, straight out of the box, pair and go for a week straight and this watch destroyed them all. Once I started trying out apps, the experience got even better. I HIGHLY recommend this smart watch.

After researching three separate smartwatches I chose the Samsung Gear 3S. For one who does not want apps on the phone--including texting--this is the perfect watch for recording steps and heart monitoring. It is accurate all-round. Watch face options is easy, once learned. As other tech, it has a slight learning curve. Works with iPhone.
