I had bought the Fossil Q the week before and highly disliked the watch. I returned it and went ahead and purchased this one. Immediately I was more impressed with the smart watch. It has so many more options and ability keep me motivated. Even though I do not have a Samsung cell phone, the ability to pair the watch with my Android (it pairs with iPhone also) and use all of the functions without having to download a slew of new apps is a major plus. The battery life is pretty good and doesn't need to be paired with the phone constantly. If you keep it paired the battery life is shorter, but good for at least 2 days paired constantly. The fast charger is great since I can wear the watch all day and night as I sleep and then take it off and charge it while I get ready for work. That short period of time (30 minutes or so) gives it a good enough charge to have it last until I can charge it completely later. The ability to communicate with it without having to grab my phone is GREAT! Now I just hope Pokémon Go adds a feature to use the watch also. LOL Great buy!

This watch looks and performs like a high end piece of jewelry. I like the standard watch band and the stainless case. Great for all functions. Great tool for most people working with there hands.

Finally, a watch that can actually go 2-3 days without charging. Still a great sidekick to any Samsung Galaxy phone. Speaker sound is clear. Looks great with aftermarket metal band.

Most of the features on this watch work great, I think the heart rate monitor is a bit inaccurate and when I have the watch off it doesn't always turn on when I flick my wrist. When I say it doesn't always work I mean that it only doesn't work about 5% of the time. I took it into the pool with me and the waterproof portion was great though it did turn the wristband a whitish color. I plan on taking this one back though and getting the newer version so if you are debating between the S3 frontier and the newest version I would definitely go for the newest 1. I highly recommend getting a screen protector. The watch is a perfect size for my wrist and the weight is great. The display is very crisp and the watch faces are awesome. As for notification I love how easy it is to choose which notifications to show and how quickly the watch shows them. Very user friendly.

I had a 4 year old Sony SmartWatch2. Wife bought this for me as a Christmas present. Old watch was good for its time but was showing its age. It kept disconnecting and info would not update properly so had to unpair/pair and uninstall/install software. The Frontier does so much that the old one didn't: more watch faces, HR/steps/sleep tracker, can use voice to search, more apps, interface smoother, screen brighter and vibrant colors. Battery lasts 2-3 days for me but ymmv. Best feature is the rotating bezel!! I didn't think I needed a new watch but after spending time with the Frontier, I'm glad my wife got this for me.

    Best Looking Smartwatch Out There

I have been looking at Smartwatches for the past year and a half and while I love the Apple Products I was turned off by the design of the Apple Watch. I prefer a round face. I found my ideal watch in the Samsung Gear S3. I like the design and ease of use. I bought the Bluetooth version since my cell carrier (CSpire) does not offer service for the watch - which caused me not to give this watch 5 stars probably. Since they updated the Watch to accept iPhones this Watch became an option. I wish that the phone had a little more compatibility with linking Contacts or replying to texts which I cannot add at this time. Maybe a future update will take care of this. Everything else is super. I can make/receive calls, keep up with my Health Apps - Steps, Heart Beat, Sleep Efficiency, set Alarms and download new Watch faces for free. Overall this is the Best Watch for the Money!

I truly love this watch. Its the best watch I've ever purchased. There are so many bells and whistles that after 2 weeks I'm still reveling more. The watch faces are incredible, my favorite is gallery photos and my ability to put my face on my wrist. I'm also amazed by the S-Health feature on the watch. The heart rate is very close to my Polar 400M which has a chest strap. I tested it by wearing them both at the same time on different wrist. The call quality on the watch as well is quite impressive as well. I could here well and could be heard well. Hands down this watch is awesome. " I LOVE IT"!!!

Love my S3 Smartwatch Frontier its great thr dial turn is smooth, does everything the s2 does but with added features such as voice speaking and speaker to receive and make calls. Am able to make calls with a clear voice on the other ends. I can cook while i talk to someone my arm can be fully extended down and still be heared clearly. The watch is very stylish. Love it. Only bad thing i can say about it is that the voice texting lags or doesnt work.

When I was looking at watches, I happen to stumble on this great watch. The gear s3 Frontier has all that i would need in a smart watch. I dont have to take my phone out of my pocket to see who texted me, I can answer calls from the watch. I happen to pick up mine when it was on sale for 50 dollars less (cant beat that) my wife ended up liking it so much I got her the s3 Classic for her birthday but at regular price. I had a multiple fitbits for the last 5 years so this is really the only draw back is that SHealth and Fitbit do not sync like most other apps do.

In my few months after purchasing said product, my overall verdict on the smart watch is an excellent buy for the money. After using the product for some weeks I noticed all the cool features it has, such as a pacer, reminder for activeness and also all the apps you can download off the Galaxy Store. Its a very well assembled piece of jewlery that uses very tough materials. It feels great to the touch and the spinning bezel is so addictive!

The Samsung Gear S3 is by far one of the most advanced and classy looking smart watches out there. This smart watch pretty much has everything and with an option for 4G LTE I can’t imagine much more being offered. I have had the Samsung Gear S2 Classic and the Samsung Gear Fit2. I really like the “normal” watch style of the S line, but both watches just didn’t meet my expectations. Now that I have the Gear S3 Frontier, I can say that they have finally hit everything I was looking for. Just starting off as a watch, it is a bit big and may be for some, but looks like a typical rugged style watch. The watch faces on it are amazing and some go as far as to mimic the light reflection as if they had a real reflective background. The clarity and finite details even give some of them a 3D appearance. From analog to digital with individual stylizations, there are so many watch face styles that you could have a different one every day if you choose to. There is also an “always on” feature that prevents you from having to flick your wrist to see the time, a complaint I had with the S2, however, it reduces time between charges significantly. With the band being interchangeable with any 22-mm band, the design choices are limitless. As a fitness tracker, the Gear S3 has everything you expect, plus more. It tracks steps, floors climbed and automatic heart rate tracking with decent accuracy. It will pick up exercise events automatically if continued for at least 10 minutes, however, if you want full GPS tracking you will need to manually start the exercise event. When manually started and using S-Health you get added results, such as highest and lowest elevation for total ascent/descent using the included altimeter, and average/max heart rate. You also get a Google map display of your event which can be exported to a GPX file. The Gear S3 can keep track of all of this information without the phone being present during the workout. As an added bonus, the watch has internal storage so you can play music directly from the watch, through the built in speaker or Bluetooth headphones, or control the music on your phone. For smart watch capability you get the typical notifications and alerts from your phone, which you can change in the Samsung Gear app. You can reply and send text messages by using standard preset short replies, emoticons, by writing text by hand, using an old style alphanumeric keypad, or use the microphone to record a message or use speech-to-text. Don’t want to text? You can answer and place calls directly from the watch, with surprising clarity. You can use your contacts or a keypad to enter a fresh number without ever pulling out your phone. As for controlling the watch, I still love the rotating bezel compared to some other smart watches using the small crown. My fingers feel like I’m trying to use two sausages to pick up a pin when messing with small dials and such. Sometimes even using the screen is cumbersome as my finger can cover half the screen or a slight bump leads to clicking on a wrong reply. My favorite feature with the watch has been the amazement that I get from people when I use my watch with Samsung Pay to make a payment. It typically starts out with their hand out awaiting a credit card. Then I tell them I’m going to pay using my watch and their response is usually “Oh our system is old, we don’t do that yet” as they hear the beep of the transaction being completed. That is when the questions start to kick in, even from people behind me in line. Besides ATM machines and gas pumps, it has worked on pretty much everything else. If at first it does not succeed, have them change the transaction from credit to debit or vice versa. You can even make up to four transactions without your phone being nearby, making this even better when out on a workout. To wrap up with a few odds and ends, I like how the bezel is above the glass. I have only had mine a few weeks and already bumped it against several hard objects. There are marks on the bezel, but nothing with the glass. I just bought some lens covers to be sure that this will not be an issue. The default watch band is rubber, therefore it stretches and at times feels like it is pinching my arm, as a rubber band would. If I loosen it too much, because I use Samsung Pay, the screen will lock and requires a 4 digit pin to be entered. A feature I am grateful for, but a bit of an annoyance when I find it locked when a notification comes in, so I keep the watch tight. The battery life has lasted on average 3 days, with the “Always On” feature turned off. I like to wear mine at night as well, to provide sleep tracking, so I charge it during times of inactivity, like at my work desk or in the evening while watching TV, and it is fully charged in about 2 and a half hours. The altimeter and barometer are an interesting feature, and I am sure for some it will prove useful, but so far all I have noticed is that I have to recalibrate the altimeter every few days as it has been over 600ft off after a few days and the weather has not been severe enough to really change the barometer reading. In conclusion, I have thoroughly enjoyed my Samsung Gear S3 Frontier and look forward to using it more as the season of outdoor activities starts to roll in. With so much to offer in a typical elegant looking watch, it is hard to believe what they will improve on it anytime soon. If you are looking to take the step into the world of using a smart watch, but don’t want a device that looks like a small phone on your wrist, and provides more features than any other watch, this is the one for you. If you are looking for an upgrade from any other smart watch, you don’t have to look any further.

My wife bought this watch for my birthday last year and I have not stopped wearing it since. This watch does it all, from answering calls on it when my hands are busy, to giving me a summary of my sleeping habits. U found some pretty cool watch faces on the market so I can change them every week. I can voice text anyone instead of having to pull my phone out. Great gift for any guy in your life.
