Must own compatible hardware

Was able to pair it with my Galaxy S6, but don't have the headset, so cannot use it for anything at all. Now I'm getting email for Oculus since I had to create an account during setup. Hoping to pair with Fire tablet so kid can play Minecraft easier, but no success so far.
