This device works well even over my glasses. Wish there were more free titles that interested me though. Can't use with play store VR apps without buying app to block oculus service. This as far as I know is only for Samsung phones though

The headset fits great and doesn't feel uncomfortableat all. The controller is a great addition instead of using the pad on the side of the headset

The Gear VR is currently not working with Unlocked galaxy S8 or S7 phones, only with carrier locked phones. This is a known issue for us customers and it's been going on since last years Unlocked Galaxy S7 without resolution, but somehow Samsung phone and chat support claims they don't know about it, although on the Samsung forums they claim they are now aware of it and working to resolve it, as of last Friday (6-2-2017) When you connect an unlocked S8 to the Gear VR, you get a voice command to disconnect the phone and follow instructions to download the Gear VR App, but when clicking next on the screen to download the app you get an error message: "Network Error occurred. Try again". No of Samsung and user troubleshooting is able to fix this issue, all points to Samsung Servers only allowing carrier locked S8's to download the VR apps, hence the network error message for everyone with an unlocked phone and the other carrier locked phones working. If you are looking to buy an unlocked galaxy phone to do VR, don't even bother, you get 0 support from Samsung and the works customer service ever from a tech company that sells a non operational device and after a week of the S8 release, Gear VR is still not working without ETA for resolution. Some have never been able to use it since getting an unlocked Galaxy S7, unbelievable! I'm returning my Galaxy S8, the Gear VR and the Gear 360, over 1000 Dollars worth of half working product. Going back to Apple...

An entry level VR setup. This works well with the galaxy s8+. If you're using this for pron, you'll feel like you're cheating on your ole lady. Strap in, you won't be leaving the house for a while.

nice view and easy to operate with remote. not enough free apps and paid apps should have a trial version before buying the app.

I love my new Gear VR. I had the old one but this one is even better especially since they now have the controller option.

Worth the money. Fun to use with family and friends. Free apps are not as good as the paid ones, but are a good place to start to learn how to use the VR.

The Gear VR (along with the Galaxy S8) was my first virtual reality experience, and I didn't want to get my hopes up. However, it's a lot better than I expected. Once you get things working, figure out your focus, etc., it's really fun to play with, and hours can go by really fast. I haven't had problems with my S8 overheating with this, unlike problems I think others have had historically. The only real downsides are generic, and not unique to this setup. There can be some VR sickness with the way some things can move. Watch out for things like simulated rollercoasters. And though there's probably more content than I expected, especially if you're willing to pay, at the same time there's a huge amount of room for growth with VR in general. Anyway, it's a lot of fun, and I'll never watch things like 3D movies again anywhere else. There's no point. If you have a recent phone that can handle this (like the S8), I'd consider it a must-have.

A lot of fun however, tends to overheat my Galaxy 6 and finding enjoyable videos can be somewhat frustrating.

It's works good as a virtual reality headset. Has some fun videos and games that you can download for free. My one complaint is that most of the free stuff is only a part of what you can experience so you won't enjoy this if you dont like to spend extra money. I played with it for 3 days and lost interest and did not want to spend money when I didn't know if I would be keeping it. It's a good one if you are trying out what virtual reality is like.

I thought that this item worked amazing with my samsug galaxy 8+. The Interaction with the vr headset was very smooth and the apps have also have run very smoothly with it. Overall I am very pleased I purchased is item :)

I like the VR. It takes you to another place. I have a Samsung 8 plus and the head gear gets heavy after a short time. Other than that I am enjoying my VR.

This is a vast improvement from the previous model. The remote control works perfectly and makes the many games easy to play

Lot's of fun. I would definately recommend this product. Great price and very easy to use. Lots of cool apps for this also.

Good product as a whole...enjoyed it ....just trying to figure out how to play games downloaded from Google play on it....pretty much okay by me

It works great with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Way better than I had expected!

I've never had any other VR gear so I was pretty new to the technology. This is a great starter set, and since I pre-ordered the S8, I got mine for free. I had a blast using a lot of the free software that is available in the Oculus store. I also didn't know you could do so much more than just play games with it. Over all, I'm really impressed.

While I'm definitely looking forward to the resolution jumping on VR, this is an inexpensive and very immersive way to explore where we're at today and get a sense of what's to come. Very simple setup and tons of content, games etc...the kids love it and there is no-doubt we are just getting started with what VR will bring in the future.

This model of vr is easier to operate when compared to the last year version. Remote is very handy
