The headset works great. However, with my Galaxy S6, I can only use it for about 15-20 minutes before my phone begins to overheat. Once that happens there are lag problems, and I have to wait half an hour before I can get another 15 minutes of play in. With the S7, performance is improved, and I don't have the overheating problem.

If you want a mobile VR device and have a Samsung phone, this is the way to go. Good built quality and works really well. It's a bit expensive but, you a solid device.

I bought this for my boyfriend and he loved it! Downside was the apps that we had to download in order to use it.

I owned the first one, and this one is better than the first. My only gripe is that there is no longer a cover for the phone. I do understand why Samsung chose to leave it off (due to the phone getting hot under VR loads), but I would much rather have the cover. The controller is a great welcome and makes the experience much better. I look forward to playing with this when the new Note 8's come out later in 2017.

The inclusion of the VR controller is what this item has needed all along. Because of this, the VR experience is more inclusive and interactive in a positive way. Other than the controller, I didn't really see any enhancements over last year's Gear VR other than the size being able to handle the new S8+ model phone. If you enjoy VR I'd definitely recommend this method of jumping in and getting your feet wet!

Very impressive. Hopefully they will figure out more ways to use it in the near future ... as the software library is somewhat limited, and the apps that are available are also very basic. As to the headset itself, the only complaints are: 1) constantly fogs up; and 2) cannot charge phone while using the headset

I had the original white goggles and while they were fine, this is a major step up. Operationally and comfort.

The amount of apps and fun is tremendous! I got the whole family to use it and they all love it as well.

Gear VR is one of the coolest Toys I bought recently. It was my first time using a VR. It was a nice experience where you can feel things without really doing nothing.I love the netflix app in the Gear VR and I have to sit upright all the length of the movie which really reduces my usage of VR

I enjoy the preloaded games, the ability to watch movies like it's in theater... if you want other games you have to buy them. Good toy to pass time.

This headset is well worth the money. The video capability is wonderful and you feel like you are in the theater. Great selection of movie and more.

I purchased the Samsung Virtual Reality as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. He absolutely loves it! He downloaded a few horror games and convinced me to try them out. It was an amazingly scary experience. It's crazy how realistic it seems and how it actually feels like you're somewhere else. I even tried swatting "bats" away at one point and ended up accidentally smacking my boyfriend straight across the chest so beware of your surroundings while using it! I definitely recommend it though (the VR not smacking your boyfriends). It's a great product. Definitely worth the buy!

I bought for My dad as a Father's Day gift, and let me tell you it was a huge success. To see my dad smiling and being thrilled with VR... I personally have never used it, until I tested OCULUS out for a few games and definitely I am now ADDICTED to VR. The head set was at first difficult to set up with Velcro bands but after that it's a blast you won't stop using it.

I have had GearVR from the first version and the combination of the new GearVr with controller and the Samsung S8+ (with its beautiful screen) is a fantastic mobile VR kit. The controller is the big update, and I hope I will never have to use the touchpad on the headset again. If you have the a GearVR headset already, all you really need to buy is the controller.

If you are thinking about getting a VR headset but don't want to pay $400+ on it this is definitely a great starting point. I will say the only bad things are that there is only 1 remote so it's not too interactive, your phone does get super hot so you cannot play for long periods of time. And the games are limited but there are definite gems in there.

A little more comfortable than last year. The controller makes all the difference. The amount of the programs keeps getting larger. If you already have a unit just by the controller separate. If you are new to the Samsung Galaxy phone(s) then this is the unit to get.

For the price you pay there's no beating the gear for an entry vr. Sure it's no vive but you get the same feeling playing it. New controller works but has occasional tracking issues. I will say it works way better with my galaxy s8 then with my previous note 5

Excellent choice for VR, really easy to setup and use...

This is a fun gaming system. There are a number of games which are available free or very low cost which provide great fun. The headset itself is easy to wear, It was heavy on my nose til I discovered the padding was held on by velcro, a slight repositioning of the pad over the nose and it is perfect. Get this, you'll love it!!!

I don't know why more people don't have this. I will say this much, though. The experiences are not for everyone, but there are plenty of still experiences for you to choose from that are equally amazing. Just make sure you buy a battery to help keep your phone going because it is going to kill your phone battery quickly.
