It's good for web browsing but typing a paper that needs to be formatted according to APA /MLA standards in google docs is tough. Really wish I opted for a more expensive device with Microsoft word. Touch pad is awful. The sound is horrible. It boots up really fast though and the set up is extremely easy.

When I ordered this Chromebook, I did so realizing I didn't have a strong need for it. However, upon receiving it and becoming familiar with its use, I have added WiFi to my Android phone plan so I can use the Chromebook away from areas with known WiFi. I am happy with the purchase and now use it daily for checking email and surfing the web. Battery life is very good and I'm a satisfied owner.

Good to carry around in school bag! Can use for multiple uses.

I use this everyday and it gets more use than my regular laptop. If you're used to Chrome as I am, this is very easy to use. If you're a big "gamer" this may not be for you, but, for all kinds of browsing and any google related activity, this is the perfect device. This is the 2nd refurbished/used one that I had to try to get it right. The first one had problems with freezing up and restarting, but, this one has been good so far. I'm very happy with the device.

i replaced my laptop and my tablet with the chromebook. more convenient and faster than the laptop or tablet. Item was sold as refurbished but i couldn't tell that is wasn't new. great buy for the money.

This is a simple and easy to use P.C. as long as you have a gmail account and a wireless printer that is compatible.

This is a great device for my 4th grader who uses it to surf the web, check email and view videos on YouTube. Basic but very good - love the weight and size.

This computer was purchased since it was less than $200. It was a great value. Works well as a good portable browser for email, youtube, facebook, etc.

I wanted something that my grandkids could play on when they are visiting. I have one old computer that they would fight over, so now one can play on the computer while the other one uses theChromebook. With it being refurbished I know it has been thoroughly gone over and works great. Nice price too.

Didn't have a lot of money to replace my laptop that died. Looked at chrome books and realized outside the office, my use was mostly internet related so had no need for more powerful software (MS Office). The only thing I really had to change was using Google doc instead of Word = not a problem. With the chrome books it's like a tablet with a keyboard and no virus issues to worry about. The OS (?) is constantly being updated for FREE! so new capabilities keep popping up. For me, it's a great product and one I would buy again.

I originally purchased one for my elementary school age kids to use. They love it as everything in school is Google docs/Cloud based. No extra software to purchse - like another couple hundred for MS Office or subscriptions to security software. Ha! I love that! My kids can easily use it with Netflix and Hulu and now with the Chromecast device I think I can get rid of DirecTV. This Chromebook is saving me hundreds already!!! Also, the design is similar to a MacBook Air and is light and elegant.

Overall, this was a great purchase decision. It is a good computer for the price. I literally took it right out of the box and started using it. It does not do everything (only things online), so it's probably not something you'd want to have as your main computer if you can help it; but it's still a very handy computer. I have had a few issues lately with the volume turning up or down on its own... and also with right-clicking, which is tricky because there's only one button. Also, although the computer has a webcam, there is no app for taking videos. (And the camera quality is not great anyway). But I would still recommend this to a friend and I do not regret my purchase.

I love Google Chrome. I have the same app, docs, data and platform no matter where I go. No more, loading up the jump drive or transferring files to a cloud drive, it's just there (and it works). The cover was a little scuffed (previously owned) and the original setup was in a language was not English. Posed a little bit of a challenge to setup. I would recommend that Best Buy ensure the default language matches the customer.

Great little device! Seamless with google accounts. Slower speeds are noticed with multiple tabs open. I couldn't ask for a better on-the-go device. Most of the apps overcome the obstacles of not downloading software. No waiting for "System Updates" as it auto updates. If you like google drive and like an 8 second or less start up this is your device.

As long as you limit your expectations to what is achievable when you boot a browser the Samsung Chromebook works very well. Because there are no high-powered local applications some function like advanced photo or video editing works better on a normal PC. Also, because this Chromebook is powered by an ARM CPU (like a smartphone) instead of an Intel CPU there are some extensions that do not work. However, this number is getting smaller all the time. Netflix, Chrome Remote Desktop, and a Chrome RDP (Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol) all used to not work and have been updated to work on an ARM CPU.

Originally went to a Best Buy store to buy a different model Chromebook that was literally pulled from stock/sale that morning. Went on-line to research a possible different choice and ran across this refurbished Samsung. After reading other purchasers' reviews I elected to take a chance. Appearance is like new, other than the non-manufacturer packaging you would never know it wasn't new in box. Luckily Chromebooks are literally plug and play as you get no literature whatsoever; charge the battery and off you go. A great little second or travelling laptop-just make sure wi-fi is available. Chromebooks are a little different but for web based tasks it's hard to beat the price, convenience, and speed of connection.

This is actually a gift for my octogenarian mom who has never touched a computer. She's now totally hooked on facebook and starting to do simple searches on her own. She loved video chat (Google+ Hangout) but hasn't mastered that on her own yet.

This computer must be connected to the internet to function. You can't even type something without an internet connection. Had I known that I would not have bought it, but I have adapted. Also, it doesn't have Windows installed on it. Also wasn't aware of that. It's the size of a portable DVD player. It's a weird little computer, but I am getting used to it. You can't beat the price especially with the warranty.

I read lots of reviews and purchased online. The computer is simple to use and has everything I need. It starts up super quick. So glad I purchased this item.
