Customers are saying
Customers commend the Harmon Kardon Soundbar System for its exceptional sound quality, easy setup, and the inclusion of Dolby Atmos technology. The wireless rear speakers and subwoofer are also highly praised for their convenience. However, some users have expressed concerns about the system's high price, occasional connectivity issues, the limited audibility of the rear speakers, and the automatic power-off feature that turns the system off after only five minutes of inactivity.

My goodness Samsung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung is the peanut butter and Harman Kardon is the jelly. This 7.2 surround sound system gives an amazing home theater experience, this is the sandwich your ears starve for.

Support help not helpful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Sony xbr65x900c tv. I bought the n950 soundbar. The hookup was easy and getting results was easy. My problem is the audio sync. The audio lags the video. I am connected via HDMI ARC. The sync adjustment on the soundbar works only if the video lags the audio. I called Samsung for help and the help was useless. I searched the internet to find I am not alone. One suggestion is to change the TV audio to PCM. PCM is good for 8 channels which doesn’t cover the 12 channels for the soundbar. The lag is disturbing enough that I am thinking about returning the soundbar.

Awesome surround sound system (+)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just upgraded my TV sound system from an older Sony. Set up was easy, sound is amazing. Great range of sounds from crisp highs to undistorted lows, and movie dialog is exceptional and not over-powered by music and special effects. Really fills the room with a perfect movie sound experience. The rear speakers & 8" SW really compliment the system. The soundbar pairs easily to other devices to play music, which plays through all of the connected speakers. Definitely would recommend!!

Sounds good, but lots of issues!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound bar sounds good when it works. But too often it doesn’t. Here are the issues that I experience often: 1. It changes the source from HDMI 1 or 2 to TV ARC on its own while watching a content. This cause the loss of both audio and video. 2. The rear speakers and the subwoofer disconnect too often. The blue lights stay solid blue indicating that they are connected, but they won’t work. It takes a full power down and restart to get them to work for a day before they do it again. 3. While playing a regular song from iPhone or Spotify or YouTube, the rear speakers won’t generate ANY sound. I have videos of all of this which I will upload to YouTube shortly as evidence. I would not recommend anyone buying this system until Samsung fixes them. Many others are reporting the same issues.

Returned for Refund
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the sound bar for a week. Even though I liked it and it sounded good, the major problem with the system turning off after 5 minutes of activity is bs. They should at least make a version or s/w update to allow it to stay on. Just like with their LED tv problems, and now their soundbars turning off, adios Samsung.

Sounds Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Paired it with a samsung Q8F, I must say the sound is amazing. Subwoofer is powerful, at times i forget it's on and think there's an earthquake. Just feel the rear speakers could have more volume. Overall I love the system.

Firmware problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first connected the Samsung N950 Soundbar to my NVidia Shield and Television. It worked great and sounded great. The problem happened right after Installing the Samsung SmartThings App. It found my sound bar, and auto updated the firmware to version 1003. After the firmware update, every piece of media I tried to either watch or listen to would all of a sudden stop. Pandora would randomly stop and I would have to manually restart the app. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Plex were doing the same thing. In a single movie, I had to reopen the movie up to 20 times because the Samsung N950 buggy firmware causes the device to lose signal. Like I said earlier prior to the firmware this was a great purchase, but what is always more important is what happens after you own it. Samsung is notorious for buggy firmware and super long awaited firmware fixes. The AV forums are flooded with issues about this Soundbar and their older K959 Soundbar as well. Several customers have complained about Samsung not fixing their buggy firmware issues in a timely manner. Another issue is the lack of real control over each component. Also after setting Equalizer settings a reboot would cause the saved changes to revert back to default. There are endless problems. I wish there weren’t because when it worked, it sounded amazing. :-(

great if it worked
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first impressions are great- easy to set up, fantastic sound - would satisfy folks wanting separates on a budget... BUT after a day or so you'll start to realize it's not turning on, or it won't switch inputs to match what you want to watch. Then it has some auto-switching problems where it keeps switching over to optical input and won't tune to anything else. you'll unplug it and wait, unplug it and wait. after 4 calls to support and a week wishing it would work, I returned it to the store for a refund. patiently waiting for Sony to update its flagship with surround speakers now.

Software / Connection problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 Samsung N950 and a N850 to replaced one of my K950, which had to be repaired several times for connection issues. I love Samsung products I got a connected Samsung/smart home that I connect to all the products in my home, so all my TVs and soundbars are connected. The 2 N950 sounds really good but I end up exchanging 1 that had distortion sound in the subwoofer and the right rear surround speaker. The other N950 is doing the same thing playing music at the volume of 30 streaming music from my Samsung note 9 in my theater room. I unboxed the new N950 for the bed room, it does the same with the volume at 12 watching Stranger things on Netflix. There's either a software issues they both have or the latest software has a bug in it. I have contacted Samsung twice and they want me to send them both in for repairs but I'm not happy that I have just purchased both products and having the same issue and have send them in. I try to stay with the same brands in my home i don't like to mismatch my products just to get that crisp quality sound. - i wouldn't recommend because of the many issues i keep having .
