Customers are saying

Customers commend the Harmon Kardon Soundbar System for its exceptional sound quality, easy setup, and the inclusion of Dolby Atmos technology. The wireless rear speakers and subwoofer are also highly praised for their convenience. However, some users have expressed concerns about the system's high price, occasional connectivity issues, the limited audibility of the rear speakers, and the automatic power-off feature that turns the system off after only five minutes of inactivity.

I have had a 7.1 channel before but it was not a soundbar or wireless like this device. This sound bar is the best I have ever heard. Better then Bose etc. It packs a serious punch and offers great audio that completely surrounds you.

I bought this to replace the HW-N650. Easy set up and amazing sound with Dolby Atmos. Only omissions are no auxiliary port, and no USB port for media. To hook up a Chromecast Audio I had to use a converter and plug it in through fiberoptic

I haven’t had the chance to test the atmos feature yet (Netflix and some games don’t go up to 5.1only) but I have to say I’m VERY Impressed with the overall quality of this soundbar system. It is a great fit for my living room, where definitely a full home theater system would be a little overwhelming and probably wouldn’t get the full potential out of it + it would have cost me 3 times the price.... The setup was really easy and am working on fine tuning the sound, testing with different movies and games. I definitely recommend it if you have an average size living / TV room, with cleaner and compact look without jeopardizing quality and not spending several thousands of dollars. I got it at a nice sale at Bestbuy which was a no brainer for me.

I'll keep it short since everyone else with one and two stars reviews seem to pretty much have the same issues. The set up: AppleTV 4K (Forest HDMI) into N950 (Cinnamon HDMI) into LG OLED 55" C7P (ARC HMDI Port) I've had the system for two days. Rears and Sub constantly disconnect. Even though the blue LED light on them indicate that the speakers are connected, they are not producing any sound. I literally have to do the hokie pokie and turn myself around to get them paired up again. And there is no consistency in the process so it's a crap shoot on what will make them pair again. Second issue is music. Rear won't produce sound. When the speakers are paired and actually working, the rears and Atmos speakers work just fine. But it seems, for the most part, it has issues with music. I've probably lost about 3 pounds by getting up to check if the rears are working. Third issue is HDMI Video connection. If I switch to different sources on the TV (AppleTV to WebOS) enough times it causes the TV to show static and turn on and off from a black screen to the static. At this point I have to power everything off. Overall, I think it's a good product with some serious potential to be a great home theater system but these shortcomings are too serious and do not justify the price of the product. A consumer should not have to jump through hoops and have to deal with all these issues with a product right out of the box. I tried the firmware update and that did not change any of these issues. I feel that either Samsung rushed this system into production or designed it to be seamless with only other Samsung products. I will be returning the system back to the store but I won't rule out future Samsung products if they can get it right next time around. With the Klipsch 54A sound bar just around the corner, I fear that it may be too late though if Klipsch can deliver. PS- I just realized I didn't keep it short. x-D

Amazing!!!! Out of the box with no adjustments to the levels this Dolby Atmos soundbar lives up to the hype. I originally bought the LG SK10Y because it was cheaper and on sale, and the LG was absolute trash. I am using the Samsung N950 connected to an LG OLED and Apple TV 4K. The Atmos effect is awesome watching Guardians 2 in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos on Netflix. Love love love this soundbar. So glad I paid the extra money. It is worth it. I tested the Sony Atmos bar, it sounded great but was not loud enough in my opinion. The Samsung N950 is freakin loud and doesn’t disappoint.

When I saw that Samsung had a New soundbar to replace the previous hw-K950 I was wondering how could they make it any better. Because I have the HW-K950. And yes it is better by alot in my opinion. Besides being 7.1.4 they also put brand new drivers in by Harman Kardon which gave it a brighter sound a more clean sound the voices were more distinct and they added to side channels in the soundbar its self to give you more of an immersive sound of actually being in the movie theater. The price to me is justified due to the quality that Samsung products have been for me in the past. I'm not going to need to buy another sound bar for a while unless Samsung find something to better what they've already done with this. It's a definite buy

In hdmi mode soundbar turns off after pausing dvr ir tivo after 5 minutes. Overpriced soundbar with lack of support for flagship product. Do not purchase this product, top of the line soundbars offers features that customers want not what some engineer thinks we all want. Should have bought sony, samsung soundbars continue to disappoint. Waste of $1700 the ms-750 stays powered on and is much cheaper. Samsung support continues to deny this is a fault and has not fixed.

Sounds amazing, like being in a movie theater. Makes it worth seeking out DTS: X and Dolby Atmos films. John Wick 1 and 2 are a completely different experience with this sound system. You won't realize how loud you crank it up when watching action movies. I never go above 50, but the audio does not distort even at this level. Speaker stands that fit are kind of hard to find.

I never owned a high quality sound bar before but I'm completely blown away with the sound of the 950. I did have to buy 2 stands for the satellite rear speakers, but they weren't too expensive. Even with just an amateurs attempt to setup/position the sound bar and speakers in my tiny living room the surround sound is amazing. Out of the box setup was easy with little to no tweaking as far as the settings go. I love the extra HDMI/ARC ports, along with the ones available from the Q90's One Connect box it is more then I can utilize.

I got this to help simplify my home theater setup. I have its baby brother for my living room so I figured the next step up with the additional surround features would work great. It sounds just as good as the other one I have, and the surround is great too. I ended up returning it because I could just not get the sub to produce the bass levels I was looking for in a home theater setup. I don't blame the product at all here. Im 100% sure its my rooms layout as it sounds fantastic in my living room.

This is an excellent Dolby Atmos system- the sound really pops and you feel it around you. It's as good as you can do without installing ceiling speakers. Yet, for a system this expensive, it seems ridiculous that it doesn't include HDMI eARC. It makes hooking things up needlessly complicated, as it only has two HDMI inputs besides the regular ARC one. It also makes my new television (that has eARC) utterly pointless. I've read reports that there could be a firmware update coming to add eARC, but after hours of searching I can find no answers from Samsung. Lots of people have asked on the forums I've seen and Samsung has yet to respond. Thats disappointing customer service.

Quite honestly, this soundbar surprised me. It’s not perfect but it is close and does exactly what I expected it to do; give me great sound in a nice clean package. In my opinion, this is the best soundbar money can buy. It doesn’t compare to the fancy home theater systems around but the price point is much nicer. Probably my only complaint would be that I haven’t figured out how to put the soundbar into a stereo mode which would be great for music in my opinion.
