The soundbar was not synced well to the TV, with a noticeable delay of sound. The instructions to sync it were confusing so I called Samsung customer service. After two calls, I've got it close. Evidently, holding down BOTH plus and minus buttons on the soundbar itself while in the audio sync mode is the way to get the audio synced. Or at least get it close. I hope to somehow truly nail it. Someday.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with the HW-B550 Soundbar. I am sorry to see that your time with the Soundbar has not been perfect.
To help address your audio sync issue 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 Samsung TVs have a feature called Audio Pass-Through. You can utilize this feature on your Samsung TV to correct your audio-sync issue.
On your TV go to: Settings > Audio > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through.
If you hold the + & - volume buttons down on the Soundbar itself for roughly 5 seconds, this will do a hard reset. By doing this it will reset the Soundbar back to factory default settings.
