I have an older tv and didn’t have the ARC hmdi so I connected it with the optical cord (?) works perfectly! My daughter said it sounded like we were at the movies.

The sound difference between the TV speakers and this sound bar are huge. I am not an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination, but this sounds great for the price which was $329. Having Dolby Atmos at this price is a very nice feature. The eARC is nice to allow a seamless integration of the sound bar and the TV through the use of one remote.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the heavy bass you are experiencing with dialogue. Have you tried Adaptive Sound? This sound mode optimizes voice clarity and sound to video content so you can enjoy dynamically optimized audio with enhanced voice clarity for whatever you are watching, including sports, games, movies and more.
To turn on Adaptive Sound Mode, press the Sound Mode button on your remote control and select Adaptive Sound. Adjusting the bass & rear speaker volume level may also help improve dialogue clarity. You can adjust between -6 to +6 via the Sound Control button (looks like a gear symbol).

The display on the first one was extremely dim. So dim you had to put your face an inch away from it to see it. It was also laggy. Took it back, swapped it for another and this display is bright as it should be. Very happy with this one. It syncs so well with my Samsung TV. I like that you don't need a cord connecting the subwoofer to the sound bar. It's not laggy at all. Sound is PHENOMENAL. It's extremely loud.

While looking for a replacement, we decided on a slight upgrade. The HW-Q600A was the logical choice for us. The sound quality is perfect. Generally, we keep it in Game mode, but there are times when we experiment with different programs like sports and tv shows. We are more than satisfied with our purchase.
