Deep bass from the subwoofer and the three speaker rears are superb. I knocked a star for not really providing a way to house the power cable when F’re mounting on a wall.

All i can say that is wrong with this..

Other than that, this works as advertised

The included subwoofer seems to be nearly twice as powerful, and the rear surround speakers have greater presence (due to more drivers). The display is a bit small, so one must look carefully as the information scrolls by. Setup was easy, and the automatic functions do very well compared to manually fine tuned settings. It is rather pricey, but worth the cost for the system’s capability.

But for overall sound, including Dolby Digital + Surround, it is hard to beat this sound bar when used with a Samsung TV for the quality of the sound and convenience with almost no clutter. Don't expect helicopters to hover over your head, but otherwise ... a totally immersive experience and worth the cost.

The fills the room with such amazing sound and punch. Was debating between this q990b and the q930b. Combined this with the Samsung QN95B 75" of our living room. The sound bar is almost too loud, I love it haha.

I purchased an “open box excellent condition” option. The packaging was terrible. It did not arrive with the remote control or the hdmi cable. Won’t be buying any open box products in the future and most likely not buying anything that requires shipping.

Thank you for purchasing the new HW-Q990B Soundbar System. I'm glad to see that the setup was easy and you are enjoying the overall quality.
There are a few tips and tricks you can try to optimize the overall audio levels to fit your needs.
By pressing the CH LEVEL button, you can adjust the volume of each speaker such as Center level, Side level, Wide level, Front Top level, Rear level, Rear top level, and Rear side level.
• For your Surround Speakers, select Rear level, Rear top level, or Rear side level, and then use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.
When you press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “Standard”.)
You may want to try the built in Auto EQ feature, exclusive to the Q990B Soundbar this year. Samsung’s Auto EQ Technology uses a microphone mounted in the subwoofer to detect and correct low-frequency response peaks caused by the room dimensions and the subwoofer location. The result will be a more neutral overall low-frequency response.
To setup Auto EQ for the first time, follow the steps below:
1) Press the (Sound Control) button until Auto EQ is selected.
2) Press the Up/Down buttons to select Tuning, and then press the button.
3) Tuning will start, and the progress appears in percentage.
‒ To cancel tuning, press the Up, Down, Left, Right or button, and then press the button to confirm.
‒ If the tuning is failed, LED blinks in red.
‒ If the tuning is successful, LED blinks in blue.
