This is clearly the best sounding setup out there in my opinion. It’s crystal clear sounds are amazing. I had it delivered and set up with a 8K TV which both pair very well together. The Best Buy total tech team were amazing, they were very good, I definitely recommend this unit so buy it you won’t be disappointed!!! Thanks to Best Buy for a great price!!!

Every time i turned on the Soundbar, volume automatically increases 100%. Samsung was good enough to send support and when they unable to fix because of parts, they asked me to return for an exchange or refund

Do not buy. Very little sound from rear speakers.

I've tried everything, geek squad guys came out once and did the auto tune and they seemed to be working for awhile. Doesn't help to do that now. If you want to hear the rear speakers, don't buy. Way too much money for something that's this bad. Personally i am going to be staying away from everything samsung as nothing I've purchased by that brand has been worth their high prices.

It may look like a soundbar, but it sounds like a full home theater system. And it perfect for a room that it not wired for surround sound. Comes with a remote control, but you can also control the settings through the Samsung SmartThings app on your phone which is a nice feature

The sound bubble this system creates is amazing. You need to download the manual to lear how to turn on some sound settings, the box only includes a quick start guide. Turning the sound setting on makes all the difference!

But after spending several frustrating hours going over manuals, youtube videos and then on with customer support found out that functionality is very limited if you don't have a Samsung TV. There are no onscreen or phone menus - you have to use the remote and look at the tiny LED on the front of the unit. You also don't get to use the SmartThings app to automatically setup all the levels of the speakers to fit your room. That being said, if you have a Samsung TV I am sure this is an awesome sound bar.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the new HW-Q990B Soundbar, your feedback is very important to us.
While you will not be able to have access to all of the features that the HW-Q990B Soundbar offers when used with another brand TV, you will still be able to use SmartThings as a way to control your soundbar, change the settings and have access to most of the features offered on your smart device.
Before connecting your mobile device to your Soundbar, ensure that the following requirements have been met first.
The SmartThings app is compatible with phones running Android 6.0 or higher as well as iOS 10.0 or higher. Your soundbar and smart device must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
On your smartphone: Tap Settings > Connection > Wi-Fi > Select a router to connect to.
Download and install the SmartThings app from the app store. To find the app, use the keyword SmartThings. You must sign into a Samsung Account before using the SmartThings app. The smartphone and Samsung Soundbar need to be logged into the same Samsung Account to pair. If you have a Samsung smartphone, you can add your Samsung Account in the setting app of your smartphone. Then, it will automatically sign into your Samsung Account.
When you activate the SmartThings app on your mobile device, it will automatically detect a nearby Samsung Soundbar and show a registration pop-up window.
Step 1. Turn on the Samsung Soundbar and launch the SmartThings app.
Step 2. When the pop-up appears, tap Add Now.
Step 3. Tap Start.
Step 4. Select the Location and Room for your Samsung Soundbar. Wait until the registration process is completed.
If the SmartThings app on your mobile device cannot detect your Samsung Soundbar automatically, you can manually register your Samsung Soundbar to the app.
Step 1. Launch the SmartThings app and tap Add (the plus icon).
Step 2. Tap Device.
Step 3. Tap By device and select AV.
Step 4. Select Samsung.
Step 5. Select Agree.
Step 6. Tap Start.
Step 7. Select Location and Room for your Soundbar.
Step 8. Wait until the Samsung Soundbar is registered with your Samsung Account.
Your Soundbar will be paired to SmartThings and anyone with the app on their device (tablet or phone) will be able to control the soundbar, including being able to see what sound modes you are using, the volume level, and the 7-band equalizer just to name a few things.
