Worked great for about a week. Then the volume would just go to zero for no apparent reason. Went online to troubleshoot. Samsung’s advice was unplug it wait a few minutes the restart No help. Best Buy did let me return it. Only high point of owing it.

I recently "upgraded" from the JBL Soundbar 9.1, a system which I LOVED!!!, to the JBL 1300X 11.1. To succinctly summarize, the audio quality of the more powerful 11.1 did not approach the caliber of the 9.1. After a discussion with JBL's customer support team, we completed all the prescribed troubleshooting steps. The representatives requested a few days to consult with their internal team. Ultimately, their conclusion was that my unit might be defective, and they advised me to return it for a replacement. Upon their advice, I return the unit and got another JBL 11.1. Regrettably, upon installing the second unit, I faced similar issues related to the performance of the 12-inch woofer, particularly when compared to the superior bass output from the 8-inch woofer in the JBL 9.1 model. Consequently, I had to return the unit for the second time. Next, I bought the Sonos - Arc Soundbar, equipped with Dolby Atmos, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa, complemented by the Sonos - Sub (Gen 3) Wireless Subwoofer. While I anticipated significant improvement, surprisingly, this combination did not outperform the audio experience delivered by the JBL 9.1 within my room. Subsequently, I ventured to try the Sony - SA-SW5 300W Wireless Subwoofer, coupled with the Sony - HT-A7000 7.1.2 Channel Soundbar featuring Dolby Atmos. Regrettably, this setup also fell short of the exceptional audio quality that the JBL 9.1 had to offer. Now, let me turn to my evaluation of the Samsung Q990B. This system is absolutely outstanding! It shakes the entire house with amazing sound! The bass is profound yet sharp. The soundbar yields a vibrant sound, apt for both movies and music. It is undoubtedly the best soundbar on the market for its price, especially for larger rooms.

easy setup, stylish design, but the rear speakers cut out very frequently, cannot recommend for that reason alone.

First order picked up at store it was an open box used item. Second order shipped home apparently by Ace Ventura. Box damage every where and starofoam broken inside and also it was an open item. Unfortunately, I missed the chance to get the item at the Black Friday price. So I will have to wait a whole year to try to get again.

Returning item. Saw the reviews. Made a go at it. Wanted to like it. Tried updated 8K hdmi. Several optical cables. Even firmware update. Unit constantly drops sound can be as frequent at as every 3 seconds. There are times the rear surrounds have no signal as well.

I have the soundbar paired up with a neo qled Samsung tv. I have it wired with the fiber optical connection. The wireless Bluetooth to the tv was sketch. Sound keeps dropping and had to reset constantly. Bass is STRONG!!! And what's nice is, the bass only rumbles when need be. Bluetooth connection to rear speakers works amazing. Glad I purchased mine about a year ago. Now its not available. Worth the $1800 I paid. You won't need another one for a long time. The center speaker is extremely heavy. Nice solid magnets.

Best Soundbar that money can buy. Grab one of these before they sell out since they’ve been replaced by the 990c. The new one costs $500 more and is identical in terms of hardware, styling, power etc. the new 990c has an improved Spacefit sound function that may well be added to the 990b through a firmware update. The sound is incredible and comes at you from all angles including the ceiling thanks to the the up-firing satellite speakers. Remember you need a good source to really enjoy the incredible sound like a Dolby atmos movie. Of all movies, “True Lies” was slinging harrier jets and helicopter sounds all over my room like mad! Star Wars movies are also great. The nightly news not so much although the voices sound really clear and pleasant. I had no problems setting it up but I’ve heard stories. Music sounds incredible also. I use an Apple TV 4K and upgraded Apple Music with lossless audio files that sounds crystal clear. Extremely happy.

Cane in defective. Turns off every 30 seconds. Tried to see if it’s judt a button bec PRT keeps showing up. No luck.

Looked at buying Samsung Q990B sound bar for a while saw it was on sale $700 off. Was easy to set up & makes sound much better on whatever you watch. Would buy a buy it again & would tell other people to buy it.

Very impressed thus far. Setup was easy and hooked up to Samsung TV with no issues. Better than my 5.1 previous system with Yamaha receiver and Bose speakers. Nice to have one remote as well.

Incredible speakers and easy to set up. Listening to dolby atmos music on it through the apple music app on apple TV was especially mind blowing. Highly recommend.

Great System. Hooked to a Sony OLED successfully. I was concerned of surround speakers drops. I’ve had the system for a month with no issues. Set up has enough power to a accommodate majority of rooms. Would recommend.

I have the Samsung S95B TV and this soundbar. It’s best the TV sound with sound bar in the Q-Symphony feature as it adds extra depth to the sound quality. First one massive gripe, by default the ability to tkae wored aound from the e-arc port is turned off by default. You bave to get the Samsung Smart Things app to enable it to auto. Idiotic devision by Samsung as it wasted a ton of time with me wondering why the hdmi connection would not work. I am now just using the wirlesss setup connecting the tv to the sound on my router network and it works fantastically. I am replacing a much better and expensive Denon / Martin Logam system as I am sick of the wires and huge speakers and I am very happy with the sound quality for movies and gaming if not music which is one downfall.

Wanted something for my home gym with an impressive sound. So far I've been impressed

It would be nice if the back speakers were a little stronger and making adjustments to the sound was easier. Overall we are happy with our purchase. Service from Best Buy was very good.
