Thank you for purchasing our top-of-the-line Samsung 11.1.4ch HW-Q990B Soundbar with an industry first Wireless Dolby Atmos and DTS:X bringing you 3D true surround sound. Your soundbar system is engineered with 22 speakers immersing you in sound.

There may be sound jitter or delays when the Soundbar is near an instrument or electrical device that can cause radio interference. Place the Soundbar far from such devices that can cause radio interference (E.g., wireless router).

If there are any objects between the HW-Q990B Soundbar and the Subwoofer speaker, this could cause a problem. Please reposition the subwoofer to a place without anything in between the subwoofer and Soundbar.

By pressing the CH LEVEL button, you can adjust the volume of each speaker such as Center level, Side level, Wide level, Front Top level, Rear level, Rear top level, and Rear side level.

• To control the volume of each speaker, select Center level, Side level, Wide level, or Front Top level in Sound Settings, and then adjust the volume between -6~+6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

• If Surround Speakers are connected, select Rear level, Rear top level, or Rear side level, and then use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

Thank you for sharing your detailed review on the HW-Q990B Soundbar. Your experiences are critical to us and will be shared among our internal teams.

You can manually optimize your audio experience by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (which looks like a gear), you can set the audio function such as Auto EQ, Spacefit sound, AVA, Voice Enhance mode.

Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons.

When you press the TONE CONTROL button, you can adjust the volume of the treble or bass sound. The desired item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons. This function is enabled in Sound mode excluding in Standard mode.

Additionally by pressing the CH LEVEL button, you can adjust the volume of each speaker such as Center level, Side level, Wide level, Front Top level, Rear level, Rear top level, and Rear side level.
For your Surround Speakers, select Rear level, Rear top level, or Rear side level, and then use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

For the top firing speakers, these are specifically for Dolby Atmos content. The content you are watching will need Atmos enabled for these to work.

Also, to take full advantage of every channel availalbe, use Surround or Adaptive Sound modes when watching TVs or movies.

We recommend using a HDMI cable connecting the eARC port of the Soundbar to the eARC/TV ARC port of the TV. This will offer you the best audio and user experience available.

If you are using a Samsung TV, then you will navigate to Settings, and then select Sound. Select Expert Settings, and then select Digital Output Audio Format. Next, choose your desired audio format.

You will not want to use PCM as this will reduce your overall audio quality and limit the amount of channels the TV can send audio to 2.0 in total.
