Excellent compact sound bar with avg. bass built-in. I set it up as Q-symphony enabled with my samsung 65inch oled tv. can't tell how it works but it does improve the sound quality from TV.
With the price point, it's a good enhancement for the whole TV entertainment experience for sure.

The Q-Symphony audio is great. It provides a richer, deeper sound than the TV speakers alone. I got the soundbar on sale so it was a great value, I can't say I'd feel the same if I paid full price.

Unfortunately we’ve had nothing but challenges with this soundbar. I bought it primarily because of the Q-Symphony features. But despite not changing the settings once we had it working well with Q-symphony, it would randomly stop working or disconnect or simply wouldn’t produce sound at all. After 3 months of trying every trick I could find online, it just wasn’t working the hassle and I unplugged it from my Samsung Q-series TV, and am sadly back to the TV speaker.
When it was connected and working, it did sound fantastic and the equalizer could be adjusted to my liking. It has thunderous bass without having a 2.1 sub, and the sound quality for sports, movies, news and talk shows was crystal clear and very helpful for my old ears.
I’m just super bummed that it would regularly lose its connection and I’d have to turn it off / on, readjust the TV sound settings to get it to cooperate again.
Sorry - no recommendation here.
Thank you for your review of Samsung’s HW-S60D Soundbar. I’m sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience with Q-Symphony, we greatly appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention.
the Soundbar is connected to the Internet, Auto Update allows software to update automatically even when the Soundbar is turned off. You can also update by using the SmartThings app.
If not connected to the internet, you can download it onto a USB device, and then upload it to your soundbar - no wireless connection required. Connect the USB drive that contains the update firmware to the SERVICE port of the Soundbar.
1.Go to the Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → click on the “Support” option in the upper left corner. 2.Click on “Manuals & Software” from the pop-up list > TVs & Home Theater > Home Theater > Select your model 2. Download the firmware file (USB type). 3. Unzip the file to create a folder with the file name. 4. Store the created folder in a USB and then connect it to the Soundbar. 5. A sequence of “UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON” will appear on the display 3 times. This will take around 6 minutes. - During update, do not turn it off or remove the USB. - If “UPDATE” does not appear on the display window, remove the power cord from the Soundbar and then reconnect it. - When the latest version is installed, no update is performed. - Depending on the USB type, update may not be supported. 6. After the 3 cycles are complete, the Soundbar will restart and last source used will appear on the display for about 20 seconds and then it will go off (“UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON”) 3 times “D.IN” > off

I had bought a nice Phillip TV. But the audio was awful so I decided to buy a song bar. A kind of wish I had opted in for something else but this was the cheapest one they had for what I was after the audio sounds great. Don't get me wrong. The issue that I have with it is that it will not stay connected with the t. V, so I'm constantly having to unpair it and re-pair it.
Thank you for taking a few moments to review the HW-S50B Soundbar.
Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. When an update is available, you can update the Soundbar by connecting the USB drive that contains the update firmware to the Micro USB port of the Soundbar.
1.Go to the Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → click on the “Support” option in the upper right corner. 2.Click on “Manuals & Software” from the pop-up list > TVs & Home Theater > Home Theater > Select your model 2. Download the firmware file (USB type). 3. Save the downloaded software to a USB memory stick and select “Extract Here” to unzip the folder. 4. Turn on the Soundbar and connect the USB memory stick containing the software update to the female port on a Micro USB adapter cable (not supplied). Connect the cable to the USB port on the Soundbar. 5. Plug USB into Soundbar and switch to USB source, the software will update automatically and will complete update within 2 minutes. During the update process, the 5 LEDs will start flashing in a loop, and then the 5 LEDs will all be bright white, and then the 5 LEDs will flash in a loop again. When the update is complete, the cyan indicator blinks 3 times, and the soundbar automatically restarts.
If LED sequence flashing is not displayed: 1. Turn off the Soundbar, disconnect and then reconnect the USB storage device that contains the update files to the Soundbar’s USB port. 2. Disconnect the Soundbar’s power cord, reconnect it, and then turn on the Soundbar.

Great sound quality with five speakers. Fits and not to big. Does the job.

For the price this soundbar performs very well when connected to our Samsung TV. The sound is much better and more consistent than that from the TV speakers alone. We considered a soundbar that came with a sub, but for what we watch this does the job.

Awesome, 2nd unit I’ve purchased for two tv’s in different rooms. Sound quality is excellent and when paired with a Samsung tv everything works on one controller.
