Excellent performance, great battery life, easy to find battery size, great bang for the buck.

I am using this with my SmartThings Hub and so far am very impressed with it. I am using this to trigger the lights to turn on in my basement when I come down there stairs, so far it has worked as expected every time I have tested it. The great thing about SmartThings is that you can use this as a trigger and from there do MANY things in terms of home automation or security.

Setup basement and garage portion of house with Samsung SmartHome HUB and motion sensors, connected with Amazon Echo controls, with five minute, no motion auto shutoff. Took time to figure out the best ways to use, but resulted in lighting infrequent use areas simple to manage and guaranteed to not be left on when unneeded. Very satisfied with the end service,

Have three motion sensors so far and they work perfectly for what we need them for... So nice to just walk into a room and lights turn on for you. I like that you can set it on a schedule so that motion detected during daylight hours won't turn on it if you have big dogs at home while you're away they won't turn on for their motion unless you want them to.

I purchased the Sengled as Mood Setters and they get great response from Guest, I have some "OLD SCHOOL Track Lighting and I Replaced the Bulbs the Color Morphing Sengled Light Bulbs. I used the Smartthings Sensors as Replacement to Sensors from My Now Defunct Lowes IRIS System. So Far the Samsung Smartthings Product stepped up to the Plate as A replacement to the IRIS System.

I use this device to automatically turn on/off lights in the mudroom. It's a pleasant surprise that this device also detect temperature. I can see the temperature and battery life in SmartThings app. The device attached to it's base with a magnet for easy adjustment of angle of the device. Strongly recommended.

This is the new version of Smartthings motion sensor which in my opinion works much better then the previous version. The mounting is a magnetic pedestal verse using screws to fasten. The pedestal allows for redirecting the motion area verse the previous which was stationary. I plan on purchasing a few more to replace the previous version.

I use these as occupancy sensors for lighting in areas that my kids keep leaving lights on. I paired each sensor with either a smart switch or a smart bulb. My main full bathroom was the first to get these, it works perfectly. Upon entering the bathroom, the lights turn on right away and start a digital timer for 15 minutes. After the timer is done, the lights turn off. But with the motion sensor, I have it set to continually reset the timer to 15 minutes as long as it senses motion. So after 15 minutes of no motion detected, the lights turn off along with the bath fan. Cons: Will not detect you if you sit very still, but that is expected. Also it will not detect you through a shower curtain, it needs to "see" you to work. Pros: Long battery life, still have not had to change any batteries. Also keeps track of temperature, which you can make "triggers" for. Easy set-up, open SmartThings app, hit the + button, scan code and you are done. Using WebCore, you open up even more functionality and create complex triggers/actions.

I love this thing. I have it connected to my hub and an automation that turns on the lights in the garage when my wife comes home, then automatically turns them off after not seeing motion for 3 minutes. It also has a thermometer built in so you can view the temperature in the app.

Battery lasts a decent amount of time. Good sensitivity

I am very much into having a smart home and home automation. I've been a SmartThings consumer for about 4 years now. I have over 20 smart lights and smart light switches in the house, along with smart locks, water sensors, and thermostats. I wanted to add a way to get notified when the mail came and I didn't want a contact sensor on the door of the mailbox because I was afraid it would get knocked off when the mail was being delivered, and I couldn't really figure out a way to make it work. So, I bought this motion sensor and was very pleased to see that the back of it was magnetic. I popped it in the back of my mailbox and now I have it set up to send me an alert any time the mailbox is opened so that I know that my mail has arrived. I'll also be able to know if someone is tampering with my mailbox at which time I will be able to review my Nest camera. My only wish was that it communicated with Ring and could activate my doorbell camera when the mailbox was opened, but Ring doesn't support that type of communication with SmartThings.

Bought this motion detector to automatically turn on lights in master bathroom and works flawlessly so far. Regardless of lighting conditions, motion is accurately detected. I plan to buy more for other parts of the house.
