I have a coupe of these at home. The motion sensing works really well. Fast and accurate response. They also have a built-in temperature sensor too. The back is magnetic so you attach it to any metal surface. Magnet is real strong too. It also includes a mounting base which allows the sensor to be mounted in different angles. My only issue with this model motion sensor is that it goes through it's battery within 2-3 months depending on traffic in its field of motion. It uses a CR2 battery which is a bit more expensive than the smaller coin batteries. To be fair though, most motion sensors by other brands use a similar battery. I found some rechargeable CR2 batteries made by "Watson" which seem to work well and eliminate this battery cost issue. Other than that they are excellent.

Had to upgrade my old system as it was no longer supported. None of my old motion sensors worked with Smart Things so I had to get new ones. I got these and they work great. Setup was a breeze! Since I have cats, they would set off these if they were used for security trigger. I have Arlo cameras for that function.

I already have a few different smart things devices in my home but these are my new favorite! Set up is pretty simple but the applications of use are practically endless. I mostly have them hooked up to automatically turn my sengled lights of and off but I'm sure I'll do more with then

Sensor works well and doesn't have to be used with smarthings hub. I used it with echo show 2 and smart light switch to turn on lights when motion is triggered. I think there is about a 10 sec. reset however just adjust your time on the routine.

I have not used this yet for motion. But you can set routines which great product to use and have! I use this to tell me the temperature in different rooms. Will try out soon to link with my lite bulbs and routines

When integrated with the SmartThings hub the item will note when there is motion and can alert you or trigger something to happen. It triggers lights for us. The ability to alert us to temperature has also added peace of mind to another area in our home. Item is well built with a solid mount.

This motion sensor is a great addition for Smartthings. It can be easily placed and picks up motion consistently. I would like to see a different mounting system for this, as well as the ability for flat edges so it could be placed on a table alone - but those are minor things.

Motion sensor appears to work, it is easy to setup.

I have used many brands of motion sensors. While I liked the Iris motion sensors the most, but those aren't available anymore. I find this to be just as quick to detect motion. Also the mounting option where the sensor can be pivoted is a welcome feature

These are sensitive and reliable so far. I use these in conjunction with door and window sensors for extra protection. I place them on the ceiling in a corner opposite of doors or windows to be protected. I currently have four and will be adding a few more.

Sensor does need to recognize contrast. We have in a armoire with glassware. If it is dark and not a lot of movement, it takes a few seconds or more to trigger. Have hooked to SmartThings to turn on lightning inside cabinet.

Great motion detector device. I'm using to detect motion when someone is coming down the stairs which triggers the lights to turn on. A couple of added steps to get to work with Alexa but similar to any other device and Alexa

I have multiple sensors at home from different manufacturers. While all detect movements well, most of them don't have a good battery life, need to replace them once every few months. Samsung sensors work more than a year with the same battery.

I have the original sensors that came with Smart things and I must say that these are a nicer upgrade. My only issue is once mounted , you won't be able to remove and mount elsewhere if the need arises. I may purchase additional sensors in the future.

Ordered online and received quickly. Packaging is good. Once you remove the strip allowing the battery to connect it was quick and easy to detect and setup in smartthings. The magnetic mounting base is great and easy to adjust.

i switched from the wemo motion because i got sick of the belkin plug taking up 3 slots. I don't know how long this battery will last, but I'm sure it's low powered enough to last quite a while. the magnetic mount is pretty genius too.

A couple of our rooms is much colder than the rest of the house. I got this sensor so I could check on the temp and adjust it whenever I plan to be in those rooms. The motion sensor works well also.

I use 4 of them to control lights in various rooms and for home security. Easy to place into position which is key for a motion sensor. The magnetic base swivel allows precise positioning. Easy to install on smartthings hub.

I'm using this in the bathroom with hubitat, it automatically turns on the lights when I enter. I then have a time that shuts it off. I can also dim the lights depending on the time of day. this item has worked great so far.

This was easy to set up and work with other softwares as well, we have it sequenced so that the motion triggers and turns on the lights, and it always works accurately. No problems so far!
