Ideal to monitor movement - with proper placement, it will alert you of any movement in front of the sensor when activated. Easy to set up

This newer motion sensor has better features and has a better link to Alexa. It alerts me when there is movement. Works great.

Now i can trigger my light switch just when i walk through the room and turn it off 5 minutes later no move detected

I use it to turn on outside lights if it senses motion using a smartthings hub. Works perfectly.

used this alongside my amazon echo plus 2. works great. turns on my house lights when i come home after 6:30 pm.

The sensor works well in our bathroom and is helpful. We never have to worry about forgetting to turn the light off.

We live in an older home that has a light in an otherwise dark hallway with a switch at only one end. Two of these combined with a smart light bulb and Samsung SmartThings solved the issue by turning on the light automatically as someone enters the hall (then off again a minute after motion is no longer detected). Every now and then, SmartThings does seem to bog down and slow down such that the activation is delayed. A reboot of the hub usually fixes this.

Works really well and can be integrated with so many other apps and services being that it’s apart of the smartthings ecosystem!

Unlike the Hue equivalent this sensor has a few tricks up its sleeve. It's able to provide a temperature reading as well as a few other data points. Unlike the Hue motion sensor, this also doesn't require you to mount it by drilling a hole in your wall. You just remove the 3M tape cover and stick it whenever you want it. The one criticism I have is that it doesn't appear to work as well as the hue motion sensor when it comes to really low light situations, and the ST app doesn't allow you to change how sensitive the sensor is to light.

Utilize this with a power switch turning a light on as I enter a room. So futuristic!! No issues since I’ve had it!
