Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We are very happy with our SmartThings sensor We were a long time Lowe's Iris user and when Lowe's decided they didn't want to be in the security business any longer we had to find another system that would work best with our existing system. SmartThings was easy to install and it integrated well with our existing devices. This multipurpose sensor has a lot built into it.

Needs a spacer to use on door trim

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Connected quickly and worked fine, but these sensors don’t come with the extra plastic “adjustors” or “spacers” that came with the old door and window sensors. The spacer mounted behind the part that you mounted on the door, which allowed you to easily match up the part mounted on the door with the one mounted on the door casing (since they are not flush). Luckily, I had one left over from the old sensors.

Multipurpose sensor for your smart home

It integrated very easily into my SmartThings hub and Schlage Connect lock. This is also a budget friendly "thermostat" that activates my wall air conditioner using a smart outlet (TPLINK HS220) by creating automations. I'll definitely be buying more for other integrations!

Good temperature sensor

Have hoped to be able to use this for additional control of the hvac system. Found that the control functions are not as flexible as I would like. Currently experiencing issues with temperature control when using the Samsung Smart Things app. Hopefully the control integration improves. May have to use IFTTT for control interface.
