The MX-T50 is a great sounding bluetooth speaker. It sounds awesome with any music you throw at it. This is the middle tier of the new speaker line and it does not disappoint! I have other bluetooth speakers and I thought those were decent! Man this blows everything away so far! The various setups and the addition of karaoke is just icing on the cake! The only negative I have to say is regards to the app. It's horrid. With the app, you can only play what is on your phone. Who loads songs on phones nowdays? Everyone streams with their particular streaming service and that should be included in the ways the app can be used. The app is useful in one sense. It can switch to be a remote control. The look and sound and sights are great. The little screen on top along with a cavity to prop your device is a nice touch. Also the lights are a great addition. Not too dramatic and just enough to get the mood across. I mean if you want in your face lighting, get a disco ball. The bluetooth connection is relatively flawless. I mean you just press a button to pair and its right there. However, to update the firmware you need a thumbdrive to install from your computer to the usb drive no the device itself. It's not that bad, but if it could use a wifi connection in conjunction with the app, that would be awesome. But for what it is and what it can do, it does impressively. The louder it gets the deepness and range doesn't get lost too much. And once you walk a slight distance away, the sound becomes more clear in a way. It's weird, but it works! I can totally see using this outside during the Halloween season! I can really work with this especially with a bluetooth enabled projector! Would I recommend this? Yes! I know it's a bit spendy for a bluetooth speaker, but it works and sounds fantastic. What more do you want? Well for me, to be able to use the app to stream music, but you have to just use your device's bluetooth connection for that. So that is why I give it a 4 stars, one for the app shortcomings.

I really enjoyed the sound this speaker produced, and certainly great for a outdoor BBQ. It was pretty easy to setup and get going, cranking out sound. It does get fairly loud, but I could see where someone might want it even louder. I'm guessing they limited the max volume to keep sound quality in check, because at the upper limits you can definitely hear the quality drop (but still acceptable); it starts sounding a little sharp. But don't worry; your neighbors will still know you're having a party at max volume. The product page on samsung.com says this has some water resistance so it can be used by the pool, but this isn't mentioned on the box or in the manual. It does look like it might resist some water, but don't test your luck too much. Now for the minor things I didn't like, where I feel like Samsung could make some easy adjustments to make this speaker stand out. The LCD screen on it is rather small, displaying maybe a dozen characters at the most, and for songs, only scrolls through the title once. On top of that, in sunlight, it gets washed out pretty easily and becomes hard to see. I really would've liked to see a better screen on this. In front of the screen, is a ridge along the whole width of the speaker, which makes a great place to prop up a phone or ipad playing music (especially while plugged into the powered USB port on the back). But putting a device here will block the IR receiver for the remote; rendering the remote useless. It really would've been nice if the IR receiver was somewhere else, or if the remote was bluetooth as well. Speaking of the remote, there is no way to keep it with the speaker, so plan on it getting lost, or at the very least forgetting to bring it with the speaker if you're taking it somewhere. Would be nice if there was some way to store the remote with the speaker. You could use the App (not well advertised anywhere) to control it, but the app is a bit clunky connecting to the speaker and will stop any music playing while it connects. The LED lights on the speakers are a nice effect, and I like the different modes, but like the LCD, gets a bit washed out in bright light. The DJ effects I thought were silly and gimmicky, I don't see anyone using them. The speaker was drawing about 10-15 watts of power at the wall; so if you have a vehicle with a 110v power outlet, you could power this speaker with that and really up your tailgate parties. In short, I really enjoy this speaker for bringing your party music to the next level, without having to invest in something complicated.

You can have a party in the garage with this speaker. Great sound. Only downside is no battery to it, so must be plugged in.
