Bought as a replacement for the exact same model that had a controller failure (Samsung covers this under warranty) and required data recovery services. Otherwise works great!

I spent a bit more for this external drive Solid State Drive to back up my pictures. It is much much faster than a Hard Disk Drive and boots up very quickly.

As is the case with the Samsung internal SSDs, this little drive is fast, stable and a very convenient way to transfer very large data files between machines.

Use this for my Xbox one. Load times are cut way down over the hardrive on the Xbox one. Highly recommend if you play many different games

This is one of if not the fastest external SSD drives. Make sure that your device has USB 3.1 or you won't gain the benefits of the speed.

Perfect portable ssd hd, it works great. I opened the box and comnect it to my laptop and was able to see the hard drive round ght away.

This drive is small enough to fit in my pocket. I use it to carry it to and from work. Accessing files are very fast.

For me, a regular user with no special needs, I am not sure that the SSD was worth the extra $100+. The size is good, less than half of my other portable drives, and maybe 3 times as wide as a thumb drive. Didn't notice a huge speed difference. Still took 30+ mins to back up 100 gigs.

Using to boot iMac - works fast on USB 3. It tested similar to the specs posted for both reads and writes.

Using it as a boot drive for my iMac. Makes it run as a new computer compared to the installed 5400 drive.
