Customers are saying

Customers praise the POWERbot Essential Self-Charging Robot Vacuum's cleaning performance and strong suction power, noting its effectiveness on various debris including pet hair. However, some users experienced challenges with navigation, particularly around furniture, and reported that the vacuum's height sometimes prevented it from cleaning under low-clearance areas. Concerns were also raised regarding battery life and the robot's ability to consistently return to its charging station. Despite these drawbacks, many found the vacuum easy to use and relatively quiet.

The vacuum runs in a grid pattern, repeating that pattern until the battery is low and requires charging. The vacuum will return to dock automatically or when commanded. This type DOES NOT CONNECT TO WIFI. If you want to spend more to have the ability to start the vacuum from your phone away from home - go for it. But if you want to avoid a higher price point and avoid the opportunity for it not to connect to WiFi, just choose this model that comes with a remote for manual control (works good manually) and just start the vacuum when you leave for errands or work. PROS: -Press and leave, return to a vacuumed home and it back on the dock -Manual control is very intuitive and fun -Actually sucks up pet hair, food, crumbs, dirt -Satisfaction of dumping out the canister and seeing all the fine debris and large debris it captures -2 Washable filters allow one to air dry, while the other is being used inside the vacuum canister (I do this every other day and rotate the filters for optimum suction and cleanliness) Cons: -It has gotten stuck on 1 chair with a gradual, inclined base -It has gotten stuck on a shelf that meets the floor -It has bumped into the coffee table because the robot sensor is 1 inch off ground and the base of coffee table is 1.5 inches off ground Just vacuum-proof your apartment or home, don't leave cords on the floor, and let the vacuum do it's thing when you leave the home and enjoy the simplicity of it not having to be connected to WiFi because honestly the more connections and expectations you have on any product the more likely it is to fail to connect or fail to deliver as promised - so with robot vacuums... KEEP IT SIMPLE.

Using on multiple room floor with some carpet & hardwood. Is doing a great job so far. Simple to use and easy to empty. You won't believe what it picks up. Highly recommend. Got a great price match @ BB due to Samsung promo.

The vacuum had good suction power and was working good as expected. But after a week the left wheel got stuck and stopped working. So I returned and got a different one. The other one had the same exact problem after 3 days. I returned it back and didn't want to get a new one. Wish they fix this problem soon

My wife has been asking for one for years. He does a great job (we named him Hugo). We have all hardwood and tile floors. Just turn him on before we leave the house and it is spotless when we return. Even got Christmas glitter that I couldn't get by sweeping. You still have to sweep in the corners, and under stuff (duh), but it saves a lot of work.

Wanted to get something like this when we installed hardwood flooring. This robot vacuum gets about 90-95% of the house flooring cleaned. Fun to watch it do it's patterned cleaning. It would finish a room, then go directly out the door and start cleaning the next room. We keep the suction mode on low, because we do not have carpet, and it last longer cleaning. When you hit the home button, most of the time it knows how to get back. Someimes it would just follow the walls to find its way back, but that only happened a few times I noticed. Cleaning the bagless compartment is simple. I like to use the remote to spot clean areas. Has got stuck on headphone wires, but the roller comes off easily to remove anything wrapped up in there. We still have uneven floors, becauses of home improvements, but the vacuum does very well over those. 1330 sq.ft. house takes it about an half hour to clean. Was worried that the instructions said that dark flooring is not great for this little guy, but no problems here. We are very satisfied with this purchase.

This vacuum does a very good job on all surfaces. As stated in other reviews it doesn't get in corners well, but most vacuums don't. The only con we had with it, is it took a many uses until it found it's way home. But it did learn it's way home.

I bought this guy and I do like it, but the R7040 is a better deal. This one doesn’t have wifi built in so you can’t control with an app or a home device. It also is bigger and taller.

The one thing no one really tells you

This vacuum isn't that bad I was actually impressed with how much it picks up. It's arguably better than my regular vacuum performance wise. It's nice to hit a button and have it do the work for you but it does terrible when it comes to chairs it will try to go under then when it does it can't seem to find it's way out and just gets stuck all the time. After you use it a few times the sensors on the bottom will start to get dust on them. That cause this thing to go diagonal and just wonder aimlessly. I never even thought about it and no one really tells you is that you have to clean it regularly in order for it to work right. I bought it so it would reduce some of the time it took to clean up around the house but then it kinda defeats that purpose when I have to clean it all the time. Even if it is the slightest bit dusty on the sensors it will act up so yeah it will vacuum for you but now you have a robot to clean all the time. In my eyes it's pointless only trading one for the other. Plus making its route idiot proof so it doesn't get stuck under a chair ect

Only negative issue is that it can't get under the couch. It is a strong vacuum. Even picks up small rocks.

This was our third robot vac. We had a Neato vac first. But it tanked after a few months and we had to return it. (so glad we had the extended warrantee) We replaced it with another Neato and within a couple of months had the same issues. So this time, we bought the Samsung. It was the name. The Brand. Thought how can we go wrong. Well, the dust holder is really small. Half the size of the Neatos. And the Samsung was taller. A lot taller. It wouldn't fit under the couch or chairs. So, it did a great job in open floor area, but wouldn't go under anything. And, it would stop more, due to the bin being full. (Dog & Cat hairs - primary reason we bought it). With in a week, my wife wanted to return it and get another Neato, This time we got the more expensive Neato and we're hoping it works. But if you buy this, a Neato or another brand, GET THE EXTENDED warrantee.

We haven't tried all the robot vacuum brands on the market but this is our favorite out of Bobi and Neato products. We've named this one Sam and he works great. Large canister and quieter than the other boys we have tried. He gets stuck occasionally but thoroughly cleans our kitchen, family room and office. We wish that we had the ability to put him on a schedule but other than that he's perfect. We just turn him on when we leave and he's usually done by the time we get home.

I had the roomba for pets and it would tumble down stairs or get stuck on pet toys... But this thing cleans very well, it always finds its charger. It comes with a remotes which is cool. It has got stuck a couple of times but its pretty rare when it does, one was under a recliner and the other time it got hung up on a power cord.

Quirky to charge. When it runs out of battery, it doesn't go back to the charger automatically. Even when I place onto the charger, it sometimes does not charge. When it is working, it does a fine job.
