Customers appreciate the POWERbot R9250's cleaning performance, suction power, and ability to handle pet hair, with many noting its quiet operation and ease of use. However, some users experienced issues with navigation, battery life, and the vacuum's height, which limited its access under furniture. The mapping feature also received mixed reviews, with some finding it problematic. Overall, the vacuum's strengths in cleaning and convenience are balanced by shortcomings in navigation and certain design aspects.

This vacuum sucks (literally and figuratively)

Great in theory; bad in practice. When the vacuum runs, it has good suction. But its mapping was problematic, so we sent it in for repair. It came back and worked ok for a while, but now it won't hold a charge. So it's back to the repair shop. For a $750 vacuum (when first released), we've gotten virtually no use out of it. Hopefully we'll get it fixed and consistently working one of these days, but there are other robot vacuums that are far more reliable and almost as effective.

This device has 3 suction power settings including quiet and turbo!
As long as the floor is clear of clutter it will vacuum and free you up to do anything else.
I may never use a traditional vacuum cleaner again!

This unit has amazing suction. It actually works better than my regular vac. It’s excellent with dog hair. My only complaint is the mapping feature doesn’t work that well. Hopefully this will be fixed with a firmware update.

This robot vacuum was great but just had the issue that it was too bulky and could not fit into some locations. Other than that it was excellent.

This is a great robot vacuum. It has better suction than the roomba, which I also have. I have three dogs and a cat and this has been great with hair. It is, however, a robot, so will not see if it has failed to pickup a little tidbit and go back again. Still, much better than my roomba. Now if they would only make a mop...

The vacuum worked great and does everything it says it will do but we have kids and pets so I did not want it to run during the day while the dogs are in the house and unless I did a bedroom inspection every morning I was worried about stuff on the carpet.

First smart vac so can't compare to Roomba. Cleans well but sometimes it gets stuck in places. Probably related to clutter in the house. Also black strips or carpet trigger the fall sensor and it will get stuck. From what I hear Roomba has the same issue

We were skeptical at first to get a robot vacuum since we have a large, shedding, German shepherd! After carefully reviewing and doing research, we decided to go with Samsung because of it’s ability to handle the shedding dog hair! We have been using it for about 3 weeks now and I can’t imagine not having this!!

We love Roxie, my wife named it that because she thinks it “Rocks”....
Only complaint is it does get stuck in furniture sometimes but it is fun to see if can work it’s way out!
Altogether though we are glad Roxie is part of the family now.

This Samsung Powerbot R9250 rarely every finishes vacuuming the floors. It constantly gets stuck behind furniture and actually pushes furniture around. I have an expensive telescope and this vacuum dragged it and dropped it, breaking the sighting scope off. I've had it push dining room chairs. Forget about using the magnetic strip to block it from areas, as it just simply crosses right over. I previously had a Roomba 750 and should have stayed with Roomba overall. At least it doesn't beat up the furniture. The mapping function is also relatively useless. It mapped the house, however if someone moves a dining room chair, it screws around and get stuck or shoves furniture around. It gets consistently stuck and I have to go find it. This vacuum is only used on my first floor, which is either hardwood or tile, with periodic area rugs. I've looked for help with Samsung on trying to remap or trouble shoot why it crosses strip, however their troubleshooting sites are horrible and the phone software is subpar.

Samsung understands how frustrating it is when desired results aren't met. Here is a link that will help you understand the way your vacuum is cleaning (http://bit.ly/2EFuCCt) and explain how to achieve optimal cleaning performance. ^Lo

Love how it stops at the basement stairs. So easy to use and the directions are easy to follow. It gets into the corners and under the furniture easily. Picks up going from carpet to hardwood to tile nicely.

Great vacuum, can’t get under things

This vacuum sucks like no other. It had quite a powerful suction. However, it can’t get under things as easy as a roomba can. It does a great job, but along the same as the roomba. I ended up exchanging it for a roomba because of this, and the app. The app is a joke. Zero F’s given by Samsung about their app. Roombas app is A+ and just feels like it is a tad smarter then the Samsung. The Samsung also does not have as good of battery life and the purpose of a robot vacuum is to get everywhere and not worry about it getting stuck or making it back. While the suction may be slightly better then the roomba 980, the other advantages ultimately made me go with the roomba 980

I love my Samsung vacuum, we have a very large dog that sheds constantly. I program my vacuum to work while I'm away, I come home to a clean floor. A large trash container holds everything. I works for about an hour, then heads back home. LOVE IT

Returned due to high pitch squeal

After buying, we used it for one cleaning cycle. It cleaned well, but it had a very high pitched squealing noise like one of the wheels was bad. We returned it to Best Buy to get a different one, but they were out of stock. When they got another one back in stock it was $300 higher because the sale was off, so we did not get another one. We got a good deal on a Roomba instead. I would have gotten another Samsung if the price had stayed the same sale price of $699.95.
