We received this as a bonus item for buying a set of Samsung Appliances, so it was "free." It does a decent job of maintaining a clean floor during the week. We have hardwood floors throughout the upper level of our house and it does a decent job of cleaning up the cat hair and whatever else is left behind. It's also quieter than I expected, but we only use the "normal" level. The bad of it is that the battery can only go for 45-50 minutes on each charge which means it needs to recharge at least 1 time (usually twice) for a full cycle of vacuuming our common areas (approx 1,200 sq ft). It doesn't appear to be very "smart" either as it misses spots regularly and gets lost and dies in the middle of the room regularly. I cannot compare this to other smart vacuums as I have not used any others, but if I had paid for this, I'd be upset with myself.

Got as a free gift for spending enough on Samsung appliances so cant complain about anything. It does a good job but i havent used it enougb to give a 5 star rating

We purchased this vacuum robot for the house and we love it. You can program it to run automatically any time of day and it runs by itself. It cleans 95% and it has a little trouble on tight areas. You can even connect it to your google home.

I like some of the features of this robotic vacuum over our old Roomba but it just doesn't seem to clean as well. It does appear to work better on carpet though,

We have two dogs with long hair, I was very impressed that it can pick up their hair without getting clogged up!

The Samsung - POWERbot R7040 App-Controlled Robot Vacuum is a fun and interesting device. Pros - * nice suction, pick up a lot of dirt and dust. * Quiet and goes about it's business * Cleans very well under beds!! * Does a great job getting to (almost) every area of a room * Fun to play with. Fun to watch. * It is able to handle variety of floor types & carpet heights. * Rarely gets stuck...but it occasionally does Cons - * Misses some simple objects (like a pillow feather) * Not the greatest in a kitchen with corners where dirt collects and around tables and chair legs * The cell phone app does not control the robotvac directions well * If you tell the robotvac to "auto-clean" then it does the same pattern (room by room) each time. I can get it to clean the RIGHT side of my house, but it will never automatically clean the LEFT side of my house (unless there's something I don't know about this) * the dust bin is pretty small - I have to empty it about every 45 min. * the dust bin gets sort of clogged - dust collects at the entry point and does not fill the bottom of the dust bin. * Connects to Alexa, but it's difficult * The Alexa commands are very limited (such as: Start robotvac, Pause, Send robotvac back home). Question - is there any robot vacuum that understands a house floorplan? And can you send the robotvac to a specific room?

This is the best robot cleaner that I have tried. It is pretty smart and after a few cleanings it gets better and better at finding its way back to the charging base. It picks up gobs of dog hair and really seems to clean quite well. It won't replace my upright but it does make cleaning easier. The App works well and I tried activating the robot from work and sure enough I came home to a little cleaner full of dirt.

It is an easy product to set up and the remote control is a smart addition. I have had trouble linking it to the Samsung Connect app via WiFi though.

We bought the Powerbot to help keep the do hair at bay in between regular cleaning. It is very quiet and does such a great job that we now have to regularly vacuum less often. We empty it daily so it is ready to run.

This little vacuume works great and really helps with the dog hair at our house. I wish it had a bigger battery but if it does not clean the whole house when the battery runs out it charges itself then finish the house

It worked well for two weeks after purchase and then one fine day it stopped charging. I tried all different ways I could to figure out the problem but had to return it as the battery seems to be completely dead. In general, problem with these robot vacuums is that they cannot clean an area rug with dark patterns/designs as they assume those dark spots to be stairs.

I bought this vacuum for my wife as she loves to keep things clean.. haven't had a chance to use very much but seems to work pretty well so far.

It works for me! It's time I relax when the robot works for me!

Works good but they say it will go from tile to carpet has hard time. Must have indoor outdoor carpet or low low pile to work. Great on tile.

This is a fantastic vacuum.it has great suction and covers the area it's in very well.hardly hits anything.is easy to take down and clean.and has a washable filter.it has all the features you need.

Nice to have handy when you're lazy to bring out the big one.

I upgraded from the older r9040, which I loved and gave to my sister after getting this one. This one definitely has better sensors/navigation, rarely ever bumps into anything and always finds it way back to the charger. I do have one issue where it sometimes completes its run without doing either my laundry room or bathroom but it seems to only skip one room per run. And alternates, I don't think that's a feature or a programmed trait, but it works itself out. It picks up more than my conventional standup vacuum too. The app is neat, but I had an app for the older one too - very easy to use and user friendly. I got this on sale for $350, so it's rocking the value metric for me!

Easy set up and worked within 10 minutes of opening the box. Love the remote, vacuum scheduling while you are out and app. Cleans very well on hardwood, carpet or tile. Also does edges well. Picks up well. Very happy.
