I am very happy with this speaker. I am not a sound junkie so with that said, I find the sound to be very good. I love that I don't have to always recharge it and I can hear the music half way across the house. My least favorite thing is that it sometimes takes more than once to pair with my phone. Overall a solid performer in my book!

Bought after talking to the Samsung rep who happened to be in the store. Love the sound as well as the size. Downloaded the Samsung app and nice to play using my phone through WiFi (no data). Have been using Pandora and will try other streaming apps. Also use it with my Kindle.

Sound is great; clarity, power, and balance all very nice. The overall functionality is a little funky. There is no power switch, so as you come in and out of range your devices will simply connect and disconnect. Overall range isn’t great, so you’ll walk into a room an hear, “the connection is complete”, multiple times. At 5am, it can catch you off guard. You also have to remember you’re connected, even if you’re not using it, because any volume your device detects it will play. So if there is a video or song you want to watch/listen to, that you don’t want the whole house listening to, make sure to either unplug your speaker or disconnect your device.

Needed something to bring my 55" 4k Vizio TV viewing audio experience to life. We recent purchased Samsung's sound bar with the glow plugs, model HW-H750. Brought that home it all was well. Heard on my last visit at BB that most the Bluetooth speakers from Samsung can sync up together, thus allowing someone the option for "surround sound". All excited, I ended up picking up this R3 and took it home for a little over a week. Likes: Its great for wifi connection and bluetooth pairing for other mobile devices. Our IPad mini and several cellphones including my Oneplus1 cell phone all worked fine. I was able to sync up my sound bar at one end of our apartment and have the R3 at the other end playing music from my cell phone all perfectly in sync from anywhere in the house. Really enjoyed having complete control from my phone on what I want to hear and from where, with volume control on everything. The sound quality is really good. Most people will compliment the sound these deliver. The bad: So from my experience, when your sound bar is connected to the audio source (for me via HDMI and/or Optical) when viewing content on my television, R3 when grouped with our Samsung sound bar through Samsungs Multiroom Android App. the audio does not sync up with the sound bar or television. Instead the sound that comes from the R3 creates an echoing effect that creates an unplesant listening experience. Now luckily there is one option named TV SoundConnect, and from what I've learned its a proprietary system that can ONLY connect to Bluetooth compatible Samsung televisions with the SoundConnect function. So to get everything up and going, you will need Samsungs special bluetooth tv too. So back to me, my purchasing drive was the whole idea to have surround sound while we watch movies. So yeah.. that was a big bummer. We also had bad luck attempting to connect the R3 up to our PS4 via Bluetooth and USB. I guess Japan and Korea aren't playing together very nice. Joke ;) If you have a Samsung television with TV SoundConnect then you will be able to utilize this speaker fully as part of your surround sound package. My situation has it, I already have a television and not knowing this information ahead of time would have saved me a lot of trouble.

Love the form factor and speaker sounds as good as it looks but the app needed for Wi-Fi use is awful. The streaming services you can use through it are decent enough (there is Amazon Music access but it is only for music you bought through them: no Amazon Prime streaming. And no Google Play music). But if you have a large library of downloaded music navigating through it with the app is laborious and not user friendly. Hard to play searched songs. There's a queue you can add song to but I can never find it. Every time you access your songs, it always brings you to the top of the list. It's easier to use the stock music app on my vintage Blackberry to listen to music than it is to use this app. Read a lot about issues with setting up and staying connected to Wi-Fi and experienced it myself with some R1s I purchased earlier (can't add them and they were frequently dropped). But since then have upgraded my router (nothing crazy: TP-Link AC1900) and haven't had any problems. Have had 3 speakers connected for the past couple months and all has been running smoothly. Think quality and stability of your Wi-Fi network goes a long way towards these working well. All in all, these speakers are fairly cheap now, look and sound good but the app that controls the Wi-Fi functionalities, while good for streaming music sites, could use a lot of work when it comes to playing your own music. They do updated it regularly so holding out hope that it will get better.

This speaker works great with WiFi, Bluetooth and Tv (Samsung) connect. Connectivity and speaker sound is excellent. Tried other Bluetooth and WiFi speakers and they don't compare for the price. Great Wakeup Alarm feature too.

Easy to set up and connect love the designs 360 all around and the sound is excellent

I purchased two of these speakers as part of a suround system to go with the soundbar. They connect through your wireless network, they sound good. I purchased these as an open box saved $100 on each speaker, would I purchased these at full price most likely not.

These speakers have worked well for wifi audio and wifi surround speakers for my Samsung TV. The audio quality is top-notch, but the app lets these speakers down. There is no support for Apple Music and I have not been able to use my Sirius XM account. If I had not been interested in using these as surround speakers with my TV I would have been better off with Sonos One or Sonos Play:1. A Sonos setup for surround sound may also be a better option for TV viewing.

This is a great speaker. Good crisp sound. Just plug it into a wall plug and turn your smart Samsung TV on. Then follow the few very simple steps to connec the 2. Just be sure you have a smart Samsung. It doesn't work otherwise. We have a huge family room and plan to buy one more of these to give us a balanced sound in the room.

Easy set up and great sound from the speaker and the bluetooth works good.

Easy setup and connecting with Bluetooth. Less costly and more attractive than Bose. Plenty of quality sound for one room, or for our small apartment.

Good sound for the price.the app for your phone is a little clumsy. I like the minimal style. Using it on Wi-Fi sounds way better than Bluetooth connection . The kids don't think it gets loud enough but it is louder enough for me. I like the way you can expand the system so I will eventually get more speakers

I have no issue with this item. the sound is great, the bass is crisp. I bought a radiant hw-k650 top air it with and it will pair through the multiroom app, but unless you have a Samsung tv with soundconnect you cannot play the tv through both at the same time...very frustrating.

This speaker sounds good, but when using as a simple bluetooth speaker, using the app to connect is a bit archaic. I understand that some of the additional functionality requires the app, but having the option to use as a simple speaker without the app would be ideal.

Great sound from a small speaker. The app doesn't always work and the Bluetooth connection doesn't always work the first time. I paid just over half of the retail price as it was on the bargain table. I think it would be worth the value if the Bluetooth work more flawlessly.

Set it up, and all seemed to be working, then one speaker would play but the other one would not. I had read online that the App was problematic, and it was. You can’t comtrol the speakers without the App, and the App was pretty useless. I ended up returning the speakers since I never could get them to work properly.

If you were to buy this brand new it would run you around $275. I had got a open box deal for $119. Open box is the same as a brand new one just that the only problem is sometimes while being stocked on the shelve Best Buy's realizes that some of the accessories are missing remember the main product is brand new. But for me it was a win win because of the price and all the accessories were in the box. If your looking for a great speaker make sure you get yourself the Samsung r3.

A little difficult to get started, but once done provides incredible sound, Fills the room. Look forward to TV time.
