    Needed something to bring my 55" 4k Vizio TV viewing audio experience to life. We recent purchased Samsung's sound bar with the glow plugs, model HW-H750. Brought that home it all was well. Heard on my last visit at BB that most the Bluetooth speakers from Samsung can sync up together, thus allowing someone the option for "surround sound". All excited, I ended up picking up this R3 and took it home for a little over a week. Likes: Its great for wifi connection and bluetooth pairing for other mobile devices. Our IPad mini and several cellphones including my Oneplus1 cell phone all worked fine. I was able to sync up my sound bar at one end of our apartment and have the R3 at the other end playing music from my cell phone all perfectly in sync from anywhere in the house. Really enjoyed having complete control from my phone on what I want to hear and from where, with volume control on everything. The sound quality is really good. Most people will compliment the sound these deliver. The bad: So from my experience, when your sound bar is connected to the audio source (for me via HDMI and/or Optical) when viewing content on my television, R3 when grouped with our Samsung sound bar through Samsungs Multiroom Android App. the audio does not sync up with the sound bar or television. Instead the sound that comes from the R3 creates an echoing effect that creates an unplesant listening experience. Now luckily there is one option named TV SoundConnect, and from what I've learned its a proprietary system that can ONLY connect to Bluetooth compatible Samsung televisions with the SoundConnect function. So to get everything up and going, you will need Samsungs special bluetooth tv too. So back to me, my purchasing drive was the whole idea to have surround sound while we watch movies. So yeah.. that was a big bummer. We also had bad luck attempting to connect the R3 up to our PS4 via Bluetooth and USB. I guess Japan and Korea aren't playing together very nice. Joke ;) If you have a Samsung television with TV SoundConnect then you will be able to utilize this speaker fully as part of your surround sound package. My situation has it, I already have a television and not knowing this information ahead of time would have saved me a lot of trouble.

    I have not written a review about any product that I have purchased from Best Buy, until now. I upgraded my TV and surround system about a year ago. I purchase a humongous Samsung TV, about 6 feet by 5 feet, idk for sure; but it was big. I also purchased the Samsung K650 soundbar and 2 of the Radiant 360 R3 speakers. I must say I have never, ever been more disappointed in a product ever; especially from a brand like Samsung. Overall, the k650 sound bar is below average, but not quite poor. The R3 speakers are a true nightmare. The integration with the soundbar is ridiculously bad. you would think when you buy a complete Samsung system it should all work together pretty easily. No not the case, no no no. Every time you turn on the TV you are starting from scratch- passwords, linking, searching for Bluetooth, wireless, da da da. Ok, so I gave up on the R3s for the TV and just understood that i have to hook up the K650 soundbar every time I use the TV. So, I figured I could use my R3s for my iPhone etc, but even as a stand alone Bluetooth speaker these things are TERRIBLE. They sound fine, but it will take you 15 plus minutes to get them to connect, if they connect at all. By that time you are angry and your party guests are embarrassed b/c of your ranting. So you can't connect your phone, or your Amazon echo, etc. and you keep thinking why in the f- - - didn't they at least put an input jack on this piece of ____ speaker. And, no way on God's green earth would they put an output jack so you could add some more bass. Anyway, the R3s are truly the worst, most disappointing purchase - electronics or otherwise that I purchased in my memory. And at $250 a piece OMG!!! And, it doesn't improve. I have had these for a year. As soon as you get some motivation to get them going, they crush you with the non-performance you would only see with a 22 and 0 basketball team playing their last game of the year. I have tried dozens of times, but it always ends in utter defeat. Stay away from these. BTW i am selling mine for whatever someone will give me. I don't want much, because I don't want the guilt of what I just sold to some poor soul. Rob Z

    Love the form factor and speaker sounds as good as it looks but the app needed for Wi-Fi use is awful. The streaming services you can use through it are decent enough (there is Amazon Music access but it is only for music you bought through them: no Amazon Prime streaming. And no Google Play music). But if you have a large library of downloaded music navigating through it with the app is laborious and not user friendly. Hard to play searched songs. There's a queue you can add song to but I can never find it. Every time you access your songs, it always brings you to the top of the list. It's easier to use the stock music app on my vintage Blackberry to listen to music than it is to use this app. Read a lot about issues with setting up and staying connected to Wi-Fi and experienced it myself with some R1s I purchased earlier (can't add them and they were frequently dropped). But since then have upgraded my router (nothing crazy: TP-Link AC1900) and haven't had any problems. Have had 3 speakers connected for the past couple months and all has been running smoothly. Think quality and stability of your Wi-Fi network goes a long way towards these working well. All in all, these speakers are fairly cheap now, look and sound good but the app that controls the Wi-Fi functionalities, while good for streaming music sites, could use a lot of work when it comes to playing your own music. They do updated it regularly so holding out hope that it will get better.

    Got two of these to help expand my movie experience and connect them to my soundbar and TV. We'll turns out my tv is about a year to old and doesn't have the software capabilities to to multiple speakers with the soundlink connection. My personal thoughts on the speaker is that it puts out a very nice sound for their size, but it's really not for a surround sound system unless you have the right components to go with them. My biggest complaint is that you must use the Samsung Multiroom app which was nothing but a pain. You can only play music through the app and your music must also be compatible with it. Samsung shouldn't have tried to reinvent how we listen to music just write software that allows my phone/tv to connect and play how I want from where I want. Overall I say they sound good, I did take one back and am now just using the other to listen to music, but make sure you check compatibility and make sure it can do what you want out of a speaker.

    Bought two with the intention of using for "Wireless" surround sound rear speakers on my new Samsung UHD 4Ktelevision and Samsung sound-bar as it was displayed in the store and suggested by the Sales Associates. Think again Bunky! Two 4 hour appointments over successive weekends failed to make the magic happen... even after returning the first set of speakers and sound-bar for a second set of speakers and sound-bar. Silly Rabbit! The fine print says you can only Bluetooth (1) speaker or (2) with a wifi router. Problem arises with the iOS app to configure or tweak the settings... Erases the previous configurations you just completed. Blew the system back to the store for a 2nd time. A total of 16 hours of my life I will never regain! Bought the new Sony HT5NT system with 4K passthru - AWESOME for Movies & TV!!!! Save your sanity and check the reviews before you pull the trigger.

    Sound is great; clarity, power, and balance all very nice. The overall functionality is a little funky. There is no power switch, so as you come in and out of range your devices will simply connect and disconnect. Overall range isn’t great, so you’ll walk into a room an hear, “the connection is complete”, multiple times. At 5am, it can catch you off guard. You also have to remember you’re connected, even if you’re not using it, because any volume your device detects it will play. So if there is a video or song you want to watch/listen to, that you don’t want the whole house listening to, make sure to either unplug your speaker or disconnect your device.

    I have had many sound bars, so if you are use to the deep tones at high levels you will not get this from one of these. You can link these directly together. You can link these with Smart tvs You can link these with WIFI you can link these with sound bars All in all, the sound quality is great until it's in an area where you just need more than one of these to really fill the place. This is my 3rd R3 speaker and I do love the abilities and the app is easy enough to use. Though I have wished I could find the R5's in store cause I would sell these for those pretty fast

    Speakers work fine on their own. Bought on recommendations from from best buy along with a K650 Sound bar. These are connected wirelessly to create a 5.1 surround sound. Everything connects great except there is no sound out of the R3 speakers in surround mode. All forums and support from Samsung deny the issue and that the speakers work fine. Even trying to turn up the volume on the R3's and turning the sound bar all the way down makes no difference. With samsung connections you can't individually turn up the R3 Speakers it just turns up the volume on the whole setup (Main Soundbar Included) Not happy at all with the purchase. Wish I could trade them out and try the Sony option.
