This is my second Samsung for home I like it a lot. Only improvement would be to add a battery so can be moved around and if Bluetooth allowed multiple pairings

Unless your Tv is up to date or new, it won't link for surround. Use it for radio stations only

The speaker is absolutely fine, the app to operate it over WiFi is a joke if you are playing off your desktop. On the phone, it is fine... but I work from home and sit at a desktop all day!

This did not stay connected to our wireless setup on many occasions. Sound and volume was inconsistent. It provides surround sound, not constant sound so most of the time it sat there silent. App is garbage.

Standalone Speaker is great, but problems arise, when you want them to play in Group. I Have one R3 and two R5, and when grouped them, they started to interfere with each other.. You have to play with connections, channels. Etc. I have a Multiband Router, so speakers suppose to connect in the High frecuency,, 5.4 I Guess, but problems persist. When you separate the speakers to work standalone, problems disappear. I guess, Samsung knows the problem, but don't release any solutions to the media. I'm starting to change to Sonnos, since they have more experience on multiroom ones.

Awesome if you have 2 and a j series sound bar which is my setup very compatible with an app on you phone

Have 4 r1 and r7 for main tv. Works great and got r5 to match second tv system.

I was opting between a Sonos player and this. I chose this and am extremely satisfied.

If you are listening to things in low volume then it may satisfy your needs, but when turning this unit up it sounds terrible.

In order to connect to the Internet you need to download the Samsung app however it is only for android. If you’re able to install it the steps for the set up or not as they are on the manual being at the manual was posted on 2015 and the Samsung app is 2018 version.

Ok sound...bass should be better. Too big to use as a mobile speaker. No smart capabilities.

Frequently loses its connection to the WiFi. It has to be restarted which is annoying.

Returned and bought Sonos instead. It was on clearance.

I presume this product was defective. I had seen a couple of bad reviews, but I didn't believe it. after all, it was Samsung. the bad reviews turned out to be correct. lost a little confidence in the Samsung brand. hopefully it is just their speakers and not the TV's, because I have a lot invested in Samsung TV's.

Went to purchase the new bose system. It was on display side by side with the new Samsungs R systems. The Samsung had a crisp, clear, clean sound and you could hear each instrument and every symbol. Where the top bose system on display next to it was airy. The mids and highs were muffled and drowned out by bass.I've purchased bose before but never could compare it with anything. Bose has always had quality products, but they were out done today. I was very impressed by the sound and the build quality of the Samsung speaker and I will be purchasing another R5, maybe 2, to setup a multiple sound system throughout my house. The only con I have with this speaker is i wish it had a battery and thats the reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.
