Everything is great about this model while it runs. Clear picture, concise simple remote with all of the functions I want, timer on the front so I know how much is left of a movie, etc. But it didn't run properly for long. About 7 days after buying it, it started freezing every once in a while. It would resume playing after about a second, and I assumed it was the DVD's fault. About 14 days after buying it, with a brand-new DVD it was freezing every 20 seconds or so, and would stay frozen for 15-45 seconds, which means you've missed that much of the movie and have to rewind. PAIN. I really wish it would have worked because if it had I would've gotten a great deal on a brand name, sleek, simple yet feature-rich DVD player.

DVD player was easy to set-up - but the product is sub par on performance. I bought the unit (refurbished) knowingly, but I had expected that it would perform like new. The player skips every once in a while, enough to notice the fault.

I bought the DVD player for my 8 year old daughter and I think it fits her just fine. The remote is tiny and cute and it was no problem to set-up, but you will need to keep up with the remote to enjoy because their are not many buttons on the front except the basic. Stop,eject and play

I bought the Samsung DVD player to go with our new Samsung LED TV, the first time I put a movie in it it played great, after that first movie it never worked again! It wouldnt load the disc or it would load and then skip the picture and play the audio or visa versa!! This will be returned immediately!!!

I recently purchased this refurb player with a few reservations. Many of the reviews had me concerned that the unit would be of poor quality but I was pleasantly surprised when my player was received and has worked flawlessly ever since. The biggest advantage by far is the price especially as this is a multi-regional unit. This system is not advertised as such but I assure you with a little patience and a few directions off the internet you can re-program this player to play DVD's from around the world. All regions are available or there is even a region free code. My region free player quit a few weeks ago and I've been searching for a replacement unit to play my european discs and with a $25 price tag this one is a still.

I watch mainly TV on DVD and this player almost always skips through the entire first episode it plays. It seems to take like 40 minutes to warm up or something. After that it works fine. Its a good deal for the price. The picture is great. It is easy to set up and very easy to use. The remote is a little small and gets lost very easy but thats just a minor complaint.

We bought (2) of these refurbished units for the kids for Christmas. One of the units had an extremely loud motor on it and the other one wasn't exactly quiet compared to some other DVD players we had. I took them both back and got my money back. They were a good price but not worth the noise.

Acquired as gift for 90 year old relative.Simple to set up and operate even for the elderly. A great bargain and useful video item all around.

This DVD player was a present for my Mother-in-law and when we brought it to her house to set it up it for her, didn't work at all. It said that it couldn't read the disc. We even tried a bran new dvd...still would not work. We ended up having top take it back to Best Buy and buy a new one for $18 more! We were not happy about this : (

Easy setup and great performance for a cheap price, ordered 2 and will get another.

We brought this dvd player home today, and it won't do anything except come on. It won't even open the dvd slot to input a movie. It's frozen like a computer screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very unhappy, love the tv hate the dvd player.

We bought this DVD player in anticipation of Christmas, to watch "It's a Wonderful Life" on Christmas Eve, since our previous DVD player bit the dust. Unfortunately, it wouldn't play any movies when it arrived, Thought we got an awesome deal, but I guess not. Luckily, Best Buy is very good about returns.

Looking to return it under 90 day warranty as picture and sound pause and skip during second half of DVD. Tried multiple DVDs. It does it to all of them.

This is a very nice DVD player for the price. the box was so light it felt like nothing was in it. I received the product about four days earlier than expected.

This product must have been refurbished on a Friday. There was no audio no matter how it was hooked up, also it would not play the Mpeg-4 format, the menu would come up but it would not play the files. Will return this unit to Best Buy.

My DVD Player is working great and was a great bargain for the price. I had a bit of trouble in setting it up, but I don't blame the product. The manual was at fault for not clearly stating which cord connected to which. We were frustrated because it wasn't as easy as tying your shoes. Shouldn't it be that easy? Overall, I would recommend the product to anyone who wants a simple DVD Player.

I am delighted with this DVD player. We needed an inexpensive, no-nonsense unit for our office and this one fit the bill perfectly. I could not be more pleased both with the unit and with BestBuy's amazingly fast shipping.

I like this dvd player because it has so many neat features on it.This product is excellent .

I was skeptical about buying a refurbished player, but I couldn't be more pleased with what I have.

The DVD player that i purchased is not working and we are unable to close the door. I need to return it.
