I replace my assus 10 in tablet with this samsung note 7 and I really love it because it is bigger than my phone (note 2) but not so big that I have to have a different bag just to carry it. I love the pen it has worked so good and I use ir a lot specially when I have to click something that it is small or not responding with my fingers. And the battery gosh it last forever and it recharches very quickly.

-I have enjoyed the size of the tablet. I use it like a small pocket book to read Kindle books or use it to read news in a small magazine format. I can easily hold the tablet with one hand to read books or news. When reading the news in magazine format, I hold it in one hand and use the thumb on that hand to flip to the next page. -I've used the pen to take notes during a couple of meetings and was surprised that the program could translate my scrawl into readable text as well as it did. -Netflix TV shows or movies look great and battery life is good enough that I can watch and use the tablet for other purposes almost all day without recharging. However, the speakers are both at the bottom of the tablet when held vertically. Therefore, when watching a movie, horizontally, in landscape format, the speakers are both on one side instead of being on the left and right side of the picture, so you lose the stereo effect when watching HD movies.

I replaced an older 10" Lenovo Android Tablet that quit and I love this tablet. The size is perfect for keeping with me, I love the pen for taking notes and writing emails. Adding memory makes it have plenty of room for my videos and pictures. I don't use it all day every day so it last at least two days between charges which is much better than my older Lenovo

This is my first tablet and I have yet to find it wanting after two weeks of use. I did an extensive amount of research before settling on this product and I could not be happier with it. Compared to other tablets in its class for features and size it is rather pricey; however, it has been worth it. The main thing about this tablet that sets it apart from the competition is the "S-pen". Many of the features that come with this tablet are to be used with the pen and it was one of the main reasons I purchased this tablet. Many people complain about the plastic casing that houses the tablet. So far, this has not been an issue for me and just makes the casing lighter and easy to hold. I have put a scratch resistant film on the screen and am planning on getting a case or sleeve for the product. Another point of contention is the battery life for this product. Again, I have not had a problem with the battery. I can get about two days of continuous use without having to charge it. I bought it for school and after initial set up, it is great for note taking in class and working on papers and other projects. It is also excellent for listening to music, watching videos, e-mail, and web surfing.

The tablet is very nice. Screen size is big but not over doing it. It is fast and very responsive. I like the feature of doing 2 things at once and comes in handy more than you would think. The only negative thing of the tablet would be Samsung's skin. I'm more of a stock look for a tablet and like the look and style of Googles android.

The galaxy note 8 is a great product for anyone looking for a tablet in this price range. It is very fast, has a beautiful clear screen, and the stylus really helps if you want to hit the keys without touching the adjacent ones. It also allows you to write down your thoughts and send them off without having to type.

TSA is a hassle no matter how you cut it... and if you have a computer... well forget it, its a nightmare... enter the the Galaxy Note 8.0 Tablet... Just the right size to fit in a purse or brief case and GO EVERYWHERE... it does EVERYTHING... and with a bluetooth keyboard added its a dream come true... plus being an artist I fell in love with it immediately for the lovely little stylus hidden on the side and the sketch program that comes with it.... I'm always sketching people and places when I'm out in great detail for future projects... I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LITTLE JEWEL!!!! And, like so many other things at Best Buy, the Price was just right... but don't bother buying a cover for it there... those you can get for a fraction of the cost online :)

While the price tag can be a little daunting this is an excellent tablet for anyone who travels. It runs very smoothly, there is little to no delay when opening apps. The camera takes great pictures for a tablet. And once figured out the S-Pen has several useful features. Comparing with a 7" tablet, the extra 1" makes a huge difference. I would highly recommend this tablet to everyone.

I have owned lots of tablets. I have had several versions of the iPad (the larger one), a Galaxy Tab 10.1 version 2 and a larger Kindle Fire HD. I think I have finally found a tablet that will stick with me for a while. It is very light weight, especially compared to the iPad and Kindle Fire HD. It is also extremely responsive. It is as responsive as the iPad. Watching movies on it is great. You just have to be sure you are not somewhere there is a light shining back on the surface of the tablet. It is pretty reflective. Another great thing about this tablet is the stylus. I buy tablets because they are easy to carry around. I do not want to be carrying around another keyboard or some kind of case with a built in keyboard that makes the thing heavy. The stylus has its own apps that pop up when the stylus comes out. It is very smooth and responsive. I used it to take notes during a meeting and found it the perfect tool for the job. I say give this tablet a try!

In my opinion, a more advanced product than iPad mini. I think it has great screen quality, good battery life, choice of Android or Samsung apps, ability to run two applications at once (limited to capable apps). I have a Samsung TV and anticipate a Samsung smartphone in the near future so the iPad mini has little to offer me over this choice.

Love everything about this tablet. For the money, it's fast and suits my need very well. I don't use my laptop anymore. Portability is excellent and there are tons of apps and accessories for it. I especially love the expanded memory feature and being able to access a flash drive via the data cable. Overall great value and a pleasure to use

A tablet that offers all you need to accomplish tasks for classes and personal life. It syncs with my phone (galaxy s3) and all my social apps and emails. I enjoy reading the news paper, magazines, and books on this tablet as well. The 8" screen is not to big nor too little. The speakers are on the bottom side which makes watching movies a little difficult because they tend to get covered up because how i prop the tablet up for viewing. However, I bought some bluetooth speakers and fixed that problem. Polaris Office is great for creating, reading, editing, almost any Microsoft document you can think of. The speed on this tablet is fantastic! The screen quality is great. I do wish Samsung would have used the AMOLED screen. But, it wouldnt have come at a great price if it had. So, I cant complain. Great Job Samsung! Thank You Best Buy for making this purchase easy and offering a great protection plan through Geek Squad.

Bought for spouse. Absolutely loves it. Super fast, takes excellent photos, screen size is great, resolution is near perfect. Cannot say enough about how well this works. Going to purchase two more for grandkids.

First off, I love this tablet. 8" seems to be the sweet spot for tablets. Perfectly portable, great viewing experience. It is a well-made, sturdy little guy, too. No creaks or squeaks (looking at YOU, Nexus 10). The screen is colorful, bright and vibrant. The S Pen is fun, and I suppose can be viewed as a productivity tool. I saw it more as an added bonus, not a selling point though. I love the Multi-windows that Samsung includes in its TouchWiz overlay. My only real complaints are the fact that it's pricey, especially in the age where $200 gets you a Nexus 7. And my other nag is the (comparatively) low resolution screen. The Nexus 10 is the same price, buy offers nearly double the resolution. I'm not saying this screen is bad, not in the least, but for its price point, I would've preferred a nicer screen. Just my opinion though. Lastly, in typical Samsung fashion, this thing is loaded with features...half of which the common user will never touch or acknowledge. This is a negative, because these odd features have the chance to really confuse some people, and they take up (albeit minimal) space. All-in-all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tablet...especially if you can find it on sale.

Bought this device because of the Samsung name and quality reputation. The Note 8.0 is no exception. Although it is a little smaller than your typical 10.1" tablet, this device is great for throwing in the purse or attache. The screen quality is exceptional due to the high PPI as compared to larger tablets that spread out the same number of pixels over a larger area. Along with the long battery life, this device is great for watching movies on long flights to the Far East. A big plus is that it uses a standard micro USB port for connection and charging. No proprietary cords like some certain tablets. The Note 8.0 is quickly replacing my laptop for primary use. I highly recommend to this product to anyone. My only complaint is aimed at Samsung. For $100 less, I could have gotten a different tablet running Windows 8. You do the math.

Easy to navigate, Great HD quality, expandable memory which IPad doesn't have. The 8 inch size has a nice screen for viewing movies or playing games. Great portability to carry in purse, pocket or briefcase. The S pen is a great feature and your able to do your office work on it also. I love this tablet.

I bought this product a while back thinking this would be the perfect size tablet for me. While the size was great and the stylus was great for note taking, the rest of the tablet just lacked. To me personally after owning it for 2 weeks it just did not ever feel like a 400 tablet. It is very cheaply made, low screen and camera quality, and Samsung loads it with a lot of bloatware. While it great to offer unique features on the tablet, the fact that I only had about 9-8GB of useable space was terrible. I was easily able to fill most of this space quickly, so most likely you will need a micro sd card with this as well. The pen quality was great on this however and the S-Note app I did enjoy. I also enjoyed the screen size at 8 inches as I felt it was the perfect size to hold in one hand. I ended up returning this tablet because I wasn't really using it. I was not fully able to replace my laptop with this product and opted for the surface instead. While it is much larger and more money, it was able to do everything I needed to do. If you are looking for more games and checking email this is a great tablet for that, however for work I would not recommend it.

First and foremost, I upgraded from an iPad 2 for this tablet. After being on IOS for several years I found that Android tablets have jumped by leaps and bounds. I use Android phones, but never an Android tablet. 4.1.2 is very smooth, the S-Pen is awesome. If you won't use the S-Pen you can save some money and get a Nexus 7, but I find the higher clock quad core processor on the Note 8.0 makes it a better value. The screen looks crisp and sharp. I think for the first time, this is a tablet that can compete and beat Apple IOS in the tablet sphere. Only thing I wish is that with Project Butter on Android 4.1.2 Jellybean would you let move Applications to the SD Card. 16 gigs is enough as long as you don't add a lot of videos and pictures, best way to manage that is to use DropBox for pictures and use Google Music for music instead of keeping files in the tablet memory. You can also buy an SD card like I did 32 gig SDHC Class 10 for music and files I want to access without WIFI or tethering my phone to the tablet.

While this tablet has some great android features and will be instantly familiar to anyone with an android or samsung phone, it is not the laptop replacement style of tablet that is poplar right now. What it does though, it des well. Runs beautiful apps. and the screen is lovely (just as good as my iPad mini) . Battery is not so great. I cannot go for more than about 4 hours of moderate use before it is at 5% and dying. Really frustrating if you are a power-user and want to use it all day. You need an outlet or a power brick to make this last that long. The price is a little bit high as well. I paid the premium for the stylus (i use it constantly) and the samsung familiarity ( i have had a GS3, Note2 and GS4) and I have a bevy of Samsung products in the home, which makes life easier when syncing and controlling TVs and Audio receivers. Lastly, while you can run apps from the SD card, you can't put many there, the OS will only let certain apps onto the card. But having a 32 gb card can let you bring your music or video library with you wherever you go.

I love my Galaxy Note 8.0. I went to BestBuy to see what options and features were availble in the tablet market. Talked with a Samsung rep in the store and she showed me the Note 8.0.. It had a stylus pen and you could do more than one thing at a time with the muli-window capablity. Love using the stylus (S pen). The colors are very vivid. The 8 inch is the perfect size for me when toting around. I love that you can expand the memory by installing an external micro sd card. I haven't purchased the card yet but I will be getting a 64gb card. Also having the GPS on the tablet is a must. Some tablets apparently don't have thisoption.
