These work great, and the battery life is outstanding. Came with lithium cell and will probably get 8 years out of it easy based on the current reserve power.

Cheaper alternative to Samsung water leak detector when it was on sale. Works like a charm with Smarthings. Battery held well so far, even after 6 months of use still shows 100% on all of them. Bought about 8 units when they went on sale (special pricing) and all of them have been performing consistently so I can certify it a good buy. Bestbuy cleared all the units and they no longer stock it, unfortunately.

This is a great water sensor, especially when on sale. I was a little concerned about the ADT designation, but it synced up effortlessly with my Smartthings V2 hub. Manual tests of the detection wires worked as expected. That it has wires on the top and bottom is also an improvement over my older Smartthings water sensor. Time will tell, but so far I'm pleased at the compatibility with my regular Smartthings system and the overall value.

I've got this placed in my wall between two bathrooms. I feel better knowing its there. I tested them aptly before placing them. Even though this is an ADT one, it still works with a non-ADT SmartThings hub. This is probably the only ADT device that works this way. Been exactly 1 year Batteries still say 100% ! ?? could be good, could be very bad.. LOL I don't know.

Never though I'd get a notice for water leaking but I have had two from my kitchen sink and my guest bathroom. Didn't save me from a giant leak but it did let me know that I had a slow leak from my sinks which could of turned into a bigger mess. Highly recommended for home owners to prevent costly home repairs.

If you do not want all the extras you can set it up with wink hub and use it. It will work as a zigbee door sensor(Open and close) when water touches the sensor it will show as Open. i used this to trigger my alarm and also an email using my Wink hub. It works fine. In fact it detected a small leak in the bath sink drain even when the leak was only few drops.

So far, haven't had to make much use of the alarm, but tested it by putting some drops of water on it. Worked perfectly, alerted my phone right away. Best part was that it was a very easy set up, and works with Smart Things alone, no ADT service/subscription needed!

The Samsung SmartThings and ADT combination is amazing. Smart home automation at its best. Best of all there is no required monthly monitoring fees to control your alarm remotely.

Good little water sensor. Installed in bathroom over a year ago and has worked flawlessly on its original battery. Wish I bought more of these when they were cleared out.

This paired easily with smartthings (NOT the ADT version). I have yet to test it but I've got a few placed strategically near my water heater, washing machine, and toilet.

Haven’t had a real case but I tried it out by dropping a couple of drops of water and it worked fine. It was easy to connect to my smart things hub. Recommended

This is one of the few ADT sensors that works with all Z-Wave hubs but I still think its best to have the ADT hub. Just got mine and can confirm there is additional functionality.

Got smartthings hub from samsung. This water detector works OK. But, Smartthings items are all overpriced and not as smart as other devices available now. Control system is very rigid, poor user interface. App is not good either. Monitoring is only by ADT and it costs a lot! I would not buy SMartthings if I already did not have it!

These have water sensors both at the top and bottom, so you can place them under something that would drip like an AC drain overflow pipe

This item works great for a self-monitored system, because ADT monitoring for items you own is stupidly expensive.

Paired two sensors with my Samsung HomeConnect Mesh Hub and it works without any issues. No need to buy ADT hub and no device handler needed. It’s fast to pair them.

Pairs great to smart things and tested it with some water and it responded right away
