Install was super easy and works as described. Makes home automation very simple.

I bought the SmartThing Kit so I could be aware I left the garage door open. I also bought a garage door sensor and programmed the hub to turn on a Smart thing outlet whenever the door was open. That works great. From there I put a sensor on my shed door, a leak sensor near my sump and furnace. There are lots of sensors that are compatible using Z-wave and Zigbee wireless technology.

Setup was simple but be prepared to do some coding to open up it's full potential.

I got this as a freebie along with the Samsung S9. Its working great so far. Minuses: Motion detector is not even 90 degrees. you may need another one depends on your need, if you want to cover 2 doors then better stick it in the roof? Stickers provided to stick them in walls are not reusable. When you are at home you dont like to get the alert messages about your own moments in the living room, right? you have to go turn off the motion detector and next time when you go away you need to turn it on without fail. There is no camera inside, but cant complain bcos its a freebie.

Utilizing this kit to supply a means to track who and when comes in to our home when no one is home. Easy to setup, but working through a variety of the "kinks". Wish I had some more time on my hands, because there are a few really cool things you can do with this product.
