Good Hub, but sometimes disconnects
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hub is good and supports a variety of sensors - I use it with the Smartthings water leak sensor. Random disconnects happen once in a while, but it connects back by itself.

Great hub
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This hub works well. The range is good and works with many items. I wish it would have better built in "If this then that" features for all the products it works with. I also wish it would use most/or all of the same app features the original apps used. This hub "works" with Ring doorbell but only notifies you that it sees motion or will trigger something else based on that motion. It would be nice if you could actually see the video or pictures or control the camera functions through the app instead of also needing the Ring app. I was hoping for it to take the place of all my other apps and combine them into one hub app.

Can do much more than you think
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice hub that can communicate with zigbee and zwave. Lot of options out there for sensors and switches. Can be programed to do much more, need time to do all though.

Great Multiprotocol Bridge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All the main IoT underlying protocols are supported. The SmartThings app supports many products, but not all. Samsung claimed at CES that they will move all devices to a single SmartThings platform. Their first step on this path was to rename the Samsung Smart Home app to SmartThings. This is confusing and not as well executed as I would like. I'm still hopeful that the single app will get better.

not perfect, but nothing on the market is
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i researched different automation/alarm options for my new house, and i chose this mainly because of the number of compatible products compared to any other system. It was easy to set up and get going. there were some issues pairing the system with different products initially, but a 2nd or 3rd try got it paired. My setup is fairly simple with only a few rules and I haven't had any recurring issues.

Great to bring a old home uptoday with z wave
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this easy to set up and connect, stays connected, nice selection of compatible devices. Only has a mobile app, cannot use with a computer or tablet. GET A WEBSITE OR APP FOR A PC! The app works pretty good. It's easy to install devices to it. As far as using with lights, garage door opener, and door locks I am very happy. I connected to an Amazon Echo so I now have voice control over all of them! I

Great for nerds and everyday consumers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This system is amazing. Links up with a vast array of products, even ones they don't mention. If they don't, it can probably be programmed. Very extensible.

Easy set up, support for many products
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having a couple of Wifi thermostats for a few months, I decided to jump further into home automation. After looking into a few hub options, I settled on SmartThings. So far, it’s been great. I’ve added a Hue bridge with 13 lights, 5 Z-Wave in-wall switches, a SmartThings outlet that controls an older AV receiver and, of course, the two WiFi thermostats that I already had. Alexa and Google Home both provide voice command support. But, the real magic is in the ability to set up automated routines. The SmartThings hub makes it easy to get all the devices working together. It’s great to control everything from one app. Although SmartThings natively supports a lot of products, the ability to find community provided Device Handlers, and to write your own tweaks, in order to support an even wider array of products is terrific. Also great is the support for both IFTTT and Stringify, allowing you to write more complex scenarios for controlling and automating all your Things. All in all, I’m really enjoying how well the a SmartThings hub is handling home automation for me. I plan to add more Things to my home and, therefore, to my SmartThings hub. Since this hub supports Wifi, Z-Wave and Zigbee protocols, I will have many nice choices of items to add. I definitely recommend the SmartThings hub as a good option for anyone wanting to get into home automation.

must buy product for home automation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a hub which support zwave plus and zigbee. Ir can communicates with many product in the market. This is a must buy product for home automation, as the smartthings is very customizable. You can add customed app, motion sensor, door senor and then control thr light, camera and thermostat in your home. With door sensor and siren, it can works as simple security alarm system as well and you get notification when the door is opened. The cons is it takes time to setup in the app as there are so many settings and kind of complicated for first time user.

Excellent Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this product to assist in controlling WeMo, Kasa, and ecobee devices. The product is very easy to set up and found all my devices without any issue. I'm also using Google home for voice commands with these connected devices and then it had no issues since. Reliable hub
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I chose this hub based on all the positive reviews. It is compatible with many devices. Setup and pairing devices was easy. I am currently using it with a GE smart dimmer and a smart plug with plans to add additional smart switches. I have noticed that it tends to go offline sometimes for a minute or two. Other than that I have had no issues with this hub.

Connects devices and provides basic automation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hub was pretty easy to setup and connect to the network. It has a key you have to enter into the app in order to set it up. After that, adding devices was pretty straightforward. It has some basic automation controls that allows it to set some actions like night, day, etc. For more advanced controls, you have to go to another app. My one dislike is that it seems to disconnect from the network once a day and reconnect a short while later
