Had to get an range extender since my hub is on my 2nd floor and sump is in the basement. Haven't had a flood \ sump failure yet, but I tested by pouring water by the sensor and it sensed it and sent out the appropriate alerts.

This sensor quietly sips at a single battery and does it's job. My only concern is that since it's only a single point, the water leak would already be large by the time it's detected. So far, so good.

I tested the sensor and it has a very quick reaction from the time water touches it to the time my phone alerts me in case there was an emergency. I have had a problem with the device staying connected though to the smart things hub. I installed this sensor behind my refrigerator which sits on hardwood floor. When it loses a connection I have to go through a tedious process to locate it and reset it. The batteries are brand new and the device is working so I'm not sure why it keeps losing the connection but it's kind of a pain and the reason for my lower score.

Placed In the A/C pan, I can monitor the status and if the drain line is clogged, then there will be water in the pan and I can turn off the A/C remotely through the NEST thermostat.

Overall I'm happy with this and just hope it will signal a leak when the time comes. It worked great in my initial testing and reports the temp right as well. The battery level seems off though.

Connected to the SmartThings hub with ease. Purchased two and placed around the sump of our 100 gallon marine aquarium. detects water spill immediately when tested. Great piece of mind.

Application seems to work well. I would like to be able to add email addresses rather than just rely on application. This way if I am out of town someone else could respond and check out the alert.

With spring coming and relying on a sump pump can be nerve wrecking on stormy days and nights. This water sensor when strategically placed can alert you that water is in the area so you can take action.

This water sensor is the best by far. I've tried a few water leak sensors and they are not as responsive. This will alert you immediately when there is a water leak.

Fortunately I have not had to use the warning on this but I have tested it with water. Nice thing is it has a temp reading init too so I can see how warm it is in my basement.

This is a comforting addition to my smart things set up. It will be even better when I can afford the remote valve that will turn off my water when this sensor detects a leak.

Ever since Samsung started with the Smart Things Hub; all the accessories have been wonderful. This sensor is no less than great. It works as advertised.

I'm getting about 60% of my ethernet cable speed with the Orbi. This is better than my Netgear.com router and the Google and Samsung home wifi units I tried.

I have many sensors at home and use these in my boiler room, bathrooms and kitchen to notify me in case of leak. Connected and setup in 2min. Great product.

There are other water sensor out there from other brands that will work with smartthings hub. Some with added features that allow direct wire connection.

The water sensor works flawless and gives a little peace of mind when travelling. You get alerted when any water leak occurs so you act on it right away.

I came home, paired it with SST, set it on my bathroom floor, no issues since. One of those items I’ll be thankful if I’ll never need to use it.

Easy to link the sensor once the hub is in place. Haven't had the sensor activate yet - thankfully but seems like a good evice with good build quality.

I have had for almost a month now along with the SmartThings hub and both are stable In terms of connection. I plan to add more devices in the future.

Works great with zigbee, had a little trouble with zwave at first but i must have accidentally disabled something. Once i reset it, it worked fine.
