These sensors are incredibly unreliable and useless. We had this sensor and a non-smart sensor under our sink. A little water leaked from the sink from the dishwasher hose and this one didn't make any noise or give any notifications. The non-smart sensor immediately started beeping. Several weeks later, I checked the SmartThings app and this sensor has randomly become disconnected and it wasn't even tracking anything. Read the reviews. These things are junk.

I didn't like the set up of the unit, I have a couple and it is hard to sort our which is which. I have several of their cameras and the setup for the cameras is significantly better.

I bought a few of these and most of them were junk in less than 6 months. They really need to improve the quality of these.

Almost every time I leave my house, I am sent a water leak notification. Could be in the settings somewhere...will contact support.

This was a gift for my daughter for Christmas. She has not set of t up yet so I don't know how it is at this time.

It was not compatible with my ring equipment. They dont have as many products as ring for me

Google "Samsung Device Unavailable" and you will see the long list of customers having issue with Samsung devices randomly gone offline. In my case, I bought 5 critical devices for home, namely the water leak detector; they have been randomly reported as "device unavailable", where I have to perform a reset, just to find out a couple days later that they fell off the network again. That includes one which is less than 10' away from Samsung hub, and one which is 50' away. You will not receive a warning when the device goes offline, you will have to check the app everyday just to make sure.

Just installed able to link remotely have not tried other functions yet

will buy probably but it has some quirks i have to check

....going to try and find an alternative to the SmartThings app.

I purchased the hub and this water sensor to try. It came beautifully packaged and the installation was totally uneventful and EZ. I esp liked that it also provides the temperature as it's good to know the heat is working properly as well. I did not give this a 5 because I am a little concerned about the rate it will eat batteries esp. since they are not AA or AAA but thankfully it notifies you about usage and so I will monitor battery life. I did not dig into the system but it seems to do much more than I need right now. IF they came out with a very basic low cost camera I might like to add on. Would also like if it could email me because I am using my tablet and not a cell with this. Still, all and all, it's good and I am going to buy a second sensor for the sometimes leaky bay window. ALWAYS GOOD TO GET THIS KIND OF STUFF AT BEST BUY. I FELT CONFIDENT THAT IF THE INSTALLATION WAS BEYOND MY TECHNICAL ABILITY THEY WOULD HAVE GIVEN ME A REFUND. was a wonderful safety blanket and I am so glad they are just down the road.

I wish I could sue Samsung for this product. This stupid product keeps on disconnecting from my hub and one time, I walked through a wet floor and slipped so hard that I hurt my knee and my back. I did not get any notification that there's water in the floor. I have 5 of this product and every now and then, each one of them will become Unavailable. I cannot trust this product at all.

Wish i could rate higher. When they work they are great. Problem is they drop connectivity. Will ot be “on” to detect a leak? Hmm. Too much gamble for me.

Purchased to put in basement to monitor sump pump, I do not trust this knowing how the rest of the Smartthings operates.

How can you trust a device that disconnects at least once a month? Just not worth a dime. I bought this to protect my home in case of a serious water leak, but every time I turn around, its disconnected from the hub. I haven't even been able to put it in the crawl space because I don't trust it. It's way under the house and my knees can't take it. I'm a Samsung fan, but not this time!!

Not impressed. Sends me a notification almost everyday that we have a leak. Sensor is on a concrete floor and no water to be seen.
