Good design overall but it does give false alarms once in a while

Great addition to my smart home. Monitors temperature in addition to moisture /water. Easy to set up a variety of actions when triggered such as text, phone call, flash or change color of smart bulbs and more. Works well with IFTTT.

Great product for sump pump area or any other flooding prone areas. Functional. One star deducted since not water proof and no wires to extend the probe. Works with the hub to send a text message to the smart phone on sensing wet state.

The water leak sensor is great for second story laundry room.

These are the perfect solution to protect from a flooded basement

Had problems with leaks under my sink at times from my water filter system. This leak sensor caught even simple drips and alerted me before it became a big leak. Requires a Hub and works well with my SmartThings hub.

USED THIS TO PLACE NEAR MY SUMP PUMP AND DETECT ME OF ANY LEAKS. RAN A FEW TRIALS WITH WATER THAT WAS PLACE NEAR THE SENSOR AND I WAS NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY THRU MY APP. GREAT PRODUCT. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE ONE WHO HAS A SUMP PUMP.

Have 10 of these all over my house now. I Came back to a flooded out house from either a neighbor or the condo association and $50 K worth of damage and Ins would not cover it. Now I monitor my house on my phone and if a cockroach pee’s in the wrong place - I will probably know about it on my phone instantly. Wish I had these instead of having someone check my condo monthly. You want to catch water damage ASAP and someone checking for you now and then might not be the best way to protect from water damage - so I have found out the hard (and expensive) way.

I haven't actually installed them near a leak source yet, but I did test them with some water and they are very sensitive to any moisture. I believe they will work well. Also, easy to pair them with my Smartthings hub.

Tested this out with water on the counter. Worked like a champ. My idea was to use this in my hot water tank pan which is located in my attic to prevent a catastrophe in the event of a hot water tank failure.

I placed it near my sump pump just in case my pump fails and the my basement starts to flood. This happened twice and I hope that the notification by text will give me enough time before anything can happen.

We had a flood from a small leak in our refrigerator. I wanted to make sure I found something that can let me know that there is a water on the floor when we are not home. This is it!

Budget choice for smartthings users but cheap-feel and average performance of the sensor, I guess is worth the price.

This is my third SmartThings moisture sensor. All three have worked effectively in tests. This one also notified me when my plumber was fixing my main water shutoff, and a small amount of water leaked.

I have this sensor in my mechanical room where my water softener and hot water heater are. Any leaks and I'll get a text!

I bought this to put next to my water heater in the basement. It seems to work ok. I may have gotten a false alarm or two when I first put it down. I was relatively new to Smart-things so maybe it was me. I also bought a different supplier leak-detector with a wire and two probes at the end of it that I could drop down my sump pump. That works well too. Now I would like a Smart-things water detector with an extension cable that I can use to CIRCLE my hot water heater(s) to cover a larger area on the floor and not just a single point like this detector.

Made by smartthings, works well with smartthings. I coupled this with an alarm to alert me when activated. I had 2 more of these and batteries last a while, so far going one year....

No muss no fuss. Just set it up and it does what it needs to. This little device could possibly save you $1000's in repairs. Highly recommended for boilers/sump pumps/sinks.

cheap insurance. I had a hot water tank rupture and thankfully I got to it quick. With this, if out, I can run back home asap and save myself further damages.

Effortless pairing with SmartThings hub. Long battery life. Use it to detect dripping from pressure relief drain on an old water heater, in cases it overflows our drip pan.
