Customer Ratings & Reviews

Good surround speakers if you’re watching the right content.

I should have gotten these a lot sooner! They really complete the sound of my home theatre!

Great sound for watching movies or listening to music!

Bought an open box item and they arrived in perfect condition. They were easy to sync with my Q700A Samsung Soundbar. Although I’m getting a decent surround sound with the rear speakers I was expecting a little bit more output.

They looked brand new even though they were "open box" , worked perfectly too

Bought Open Box. Absolutely nothing wrong with functionality or cosmetically. Saved me somebmoney.

Dear Best Buy team, I am writing to bring to your attention an issue with the Samsung Wireless Rear Speaker Kit (Model: SWA-9500S), Order ID:BBY01-807062414343) that I recently purchased on Jun 03, 2025 from BestBuy Website. Upon unboxing and installation, I discovered that both rear speakers in the kit are for the right side—there is no left-side speaker included in the package. This clearly appears to be a packaging or manufacturing error, as the product is expected to contain one right and one left rear speaker for proper surround sound functionality. Due to this defect, I am unable to use the product as intended. I therefore request a refund for the item at the earliest convenience.

I purchased the HW-A650/ZA from Bestbuy and it says SWA-9500S are compatible rear speakers on the soundbar webpage. So, I ordered them. Couldn't pair them to the soundbar which made me go online for research. Seems like most people are saying they are not compatible. Big disappointment because I purchased these over the 9100 as I thought they would be an upgrade. Now I have to return.

Not worth the money the surround sound is non existent. I bought these speakers to create surround sound at my home you can’t hear anything from the speakers they are horrible I wish I would not have purchased them

I am honestly both surprised and impressed. I was using an M450 soundbar with 8500S rear speakers. The system was decent and provided an okay surround sound experience. After picking up the 800A and the 9500S I would say I feel I have made a pretty substantial leap forward in experience. The bad: -The 800A was a challenge to set up. Mostly because my Samsung TV was detecting the last sound bar and the new one did not set up properly. Eventually I got it to register. -I am using an Xbox Series X. At first I couldn't really notice the Dolby Atmos, even though it was registered on the soundbar and selected in options. I had to go to the app to set it up manually there as well, and then it worked... -Once everything was set up, I could get a feel for a soundscape, but there was still some fidgeting with the rear speaker volume levels and messing with the soundbar settings. Eventually I got it into what I would describe as a "sweet spot." The good: -Wow, the 800A paired with these blew me away. I think the 800A alone really demonstrates how you are getting half an experience. Pairing the 9500S with the 800A creates a full soundscape. You can hear noises start in front and travel to the back. -When you have a good quality Atmos track, you can tell you have everything working right. Listening to different movies on occasion it does feel as if the noise is happening above you or randomly at your side. -I love that it's just the speakers and I don't have an additional box I need to plug them in. I can truly put them anywhere there is a power source. The Ugly: -The photos really don't do these justice to demonstrate scale. They're uh...pretty big. One would hope the speakers are large to get the job done, but these do not blend into the environment well. -You really have to move them around to get the exact location for all the effects to work, and it can take awhile of testing and rearranging to make sure it's all in the right location. -The included power chords are short. I don't have outlets near where I need these to go. Probably not an issue for other people but I am definitely stretching the limit of these chords. Overall, I wouldn't just recommend them for the 800A. I would say they are essential. If you only use the soundbar, you are only getting half the experience.

I believed the rear speakers would be a good addition to my soundbar and subwoofer. I am somewhat torn however. The Good: They are truly wireless speakers and only require a cable for electricity which is a huge plus! Setup takes just minutes after mounting to a decent stand and system recognized them almost instantly. In major movie scenes and in video games that support surround, they really stand out and makes you feel as you are at the center of the action. Dolby atmos supported movies and apps do work as advertised The Not so Good: My main gripe and reason for not giving 4 stars is that in between big movie scenes they seem rather quiet, even when I turned their volume to the max. I put my ear to them while a movie was playing and they were both playing sounds during quiet scenes, just not enough to be noticeable on my couch not even 2 feet away. They are a bit heavy so make sure to get a good stand. Also the cable to connect to the outlet is a measly 4-5 feet. Not really ideal for a large open living room like mine. In conclusion I would recommend these only if you can overlook its slight drawbacks.

Okay firstly I have to say that these speakers are absolutely HUGE, ive had multiple Samsung soundbars and different models of their Rear speaker kits (8500S, 9100S, etc) and I was genuinely surprised at how large these speakers were the moment I opened up the box. And I remember when I first picked up the box from my porch I said "wow thats heavy for just rear speakers". neither the BestBuy website nor the Samsung website convey just how large they are (and also quite heavy) so if youre using these in a smaller room they definitely will look a bit extreme. however, regardless of the size, they do sound absolutely amazing which is why I will give them 5 stars. im using the Q700A soundbar with these speakers and they really do make the surround experience amazing. the top mounted speakers are also a very nice feature because they do a good job of projecting the sound in different areas. listening to Dolby Atmos soundtracks is also another amazing experience. and also not having a module is a BIG plus. these speakers connect to the soundbar so quickly and its such an easy process, it took me 30 seconds to have everything up and running. I would only say that if you're using these in a smaller room they can be a bit overpowering. but if you're like me and want the best you can have, this is definitely it.

These speakers pair easily and greatly enhance the surround sound experience; sound comes from everywhere. With the Q700C the sound channels increase from 3.1.2 to 5.1.4. Those who complain they couldn't hear anything coming from these speakers simply don't have their system setup correctly; you have to ensure your TV is actually sending a multi-channel signal (Dolby Atmos preferred, but Dolby Digital Plus sounds great too) to the soundbar, and that the content being viewed has a multi-channel soundtrack. Simple stereo will be converted to surround depending on the mode of the soundbar, but the effect will be far less impressive. I'll admit I'm especially pleased with these speakers having gotten a great open-box deal at best buy; at full price they'd have cost more than the soundbar itself (also a great open-box deal at another retailer). I did have to buy the proper remote for the soundbar to pair them, it's not possible to pair the rear speakers with the SmartThings app which was otherwise adequate for setup (but said remote was cheap and arrived the next day). About the only complaint I have with these is that the power cords are a bit short but it's not even worth deducting a star given the fantastic performance.

These added a good deal of depth to the HW800 Soundbar. The hookup was basically plug and play. The ability to control volume on both the main and up-firing speakers is very nice. Just watched James Bond's Diamonds are Forever and when 007 goes off screen his voice is only heard in these rear speakers. Such a nice touch.

The Samsung 2.0.2-Channel Wireless Rear Speaker Kit with Dolby Atmos/DTS:X is an absolute game-changer for home theater enthusiasts. These wireless rear speakers deliver a breathtaking audio experience that immerses you in every scene. The Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support add a new dimension to sound, creating a truly cinematic atmosphere. Setup is a breeze, and the wireless connectivity keeps your living room clutter-free. If you're looking to take your home entertainment to the next level, these speakers are a must-have. Incredible sound in a sleek package!

Great Rear speakers. These are truely wireless other than power. They connect directly to the sound bar. Just make sure you have the correct one. These only work with the new Q series from 2021+. They take a great soundbar and elevate it to a great home theatre system. Making my 3.1.2 into a 5.1.4. They are bigger than you expect though so make sure you have the room for them.

Great speakers, clear sound and very easy to connect thru bluetooth to the soundbar. Great sound

Bought open box and they were in great shape. Speakers sound good and connected easily wirelessly, only complaint is the short power cord that necessitates an extension cord unless right next to a plug.

Bought these on sale to pair with my Samsung Q7CB Soundbar. Setup is an absolute breeze. These are wireless so all you have to do is plug them into an electrical outlet and they connect within seconds to your existing Samsung soundbar. And they have the up-firing Dolby Atmos speakers which is icing on the cake. Highly recommend if you can find them.

These speakers were purchased with the intent of improving the audibility of spoken dialog in on-line and dvd-based films. We ensured that they were compatible with our existing Samsung soundbar before purchasing them. The available instructing for pairing them with our sound bar were entirely wrong, but we figured out that our sound bar has a pairing button on the bottom that worked. The speakers have improved the higher frequency sound, especially once we were able to figure out how to independently control their volume. While the overall sound reproduction is improved, the improvement in dialog audibility/clarity is not what we had hoped to achieve. We'll keep playing with the settings to see if we can make additional improvements.
