I often take my laptop with me when I'm traveling. I'm usually taking photographs and this drive is small and light. I've had great success in backing up my laptop and photos on this drive. Quick, easy, and solid (I've dropped it a few times on wood and tile floors). No issues with this at all.

This is exactly what I was looking for for a video project that I'm working on. It fit all my criteria. Storage space, size and speed. The bonus was that it came with the necessary cables to use it with my older Mac. The fact that the price was right cinced the deal for me.

Samsung's UCB- C portable drive has been great. My son maxed out his hard drive space on his gaming laptop. He uses it for extra storage and even runs some games off of it. Response time is great - he is not complaining about lagging. He is able to take it with him to his friends as well.

Great little external SSD! Fast transfer speeds. 500GB storage. Connects to my iMac via USB-C (USB 3.1 Gen 2). I use this to host Windows virtual machines using Parallels Desktop for Mac, and the performance is remarkably faster than the iMac internal Fusion Drive.

Why spend $300+ to upgrade the storage capacity on your already-expensive-MacBook-Pro when you can simply buy these dirt cheap (compare to MBP) external SSDs? Yes, yes, these SSDs are SATA3 base which means quite a bit slower than PCIe/NVME base SSDs. But if you just need extra storage for non-frequent purpose, this SATA3 base (~500Mbps) SSDs has enough bandwidth for pretty much anything. I been using T5 for running virtual machines such as Windows 10 and multiple Linux. After 1 year of brutal I/O abuse, it still runs like a champ. Also the drive uses USB C which means your dongle bags won't get heavier with this one. Only downside is that the color does not match well with space gray. I believe you'll need to purchase 1TB+ ones to get the grayish color. If the color bothers you, get the 1TB but I believe 500GB model sits in the sweet spot for the value.

this SD HD is as easy to use as a USB drive. I did not need to use the included software which allows for automated backups, but its convenient size is great, the solid state drive allows for fast file transfers, and it comes with both a USB type A and type C cable.

For the price you can't beat how fast and reliable this drive is. It smaller and easy to carry around, it also has insane transfer speeds. I shoot a lot of video and transferring large files is a breeze when you are using this drive.

I was looking for a drive that was small in size but big in storage and extremely fast. I know there are bigger drives out there but their physical size and slow speeds make them a hassle to carry. This is a great product and you won't be disappointed.

Excellent portable solid state hard drive. I use this drive to backup my laptop. The SSD does save files fast. The retrieval speed is also excellent. The size is small and easily storable.

I love this SSD it’s super fast lightweight portable and it sped up my workflow using final cut pro X! I haven’t had any issues with it I’ve used it on PC and Mac. This is a must if you were editing 4K video!

Very light, fast and dependable. This little drive is great to have. I bought it to double my Macbook Pro's storage. It was cheaper to buy a 500GB SSD external drive rather than pay Apple for a 1TB SSD. No performance issues so far.

Its small can fit in a pocket! It is fast! Type C with adapters will work on phone. computer, chrome book, Pi it can run on Linux Ms and I am sure Mac. if you want fast durable storage this is it.

I bought this to use on my Xbox one x. The Xbox automatically formatted the drive, and the hardrive works very well. I immediately saw a decrease in load times. The hardrive is smaller than I thought and very light weight.

Ive been using a couple of these for a few months now and have no complaints. They are fast and reliable. I even dropped one onto my desk from a couple feet in the air and have not had any issues with it.

Im nearly speechless. For the past few years I've used a traditional HDD 1TB (moving parts) type drive. It was effective but on occasion irritatingly noisy. Today, I decided to try an SSD, as my HDD was louder than my TV. What a great purchase!!! It's so quiet, I wasn't sure it was working! It too is a fraction of the size of my HDD. It probably would take 50 of the SDD to equal the physical size of the HDD. It too is a workhorse. It's lightning fast, smaller than a smartphone and doesn't talk back! (LAUGHING). Away with the nagging HDD and in with the SDD!!! One last thing, it's stylish/sleek in appearance.

I’m more of a fan of  products, but when  doesn’t make certain products, then I turn to Samsung for such items. This portable SSD is great for portable storage and back up of whatever data you want to keep from losing should your computer crash on you. At 500 GB, this has plenty of memory to store large files such as movies and music. A 1TB SSD is available as well. Device comes with security software with password capability to keep your data secure. Construction of this device is good, but would not recommend letting it get wet or heavy items falling on it. Overall, it’s a great product and comes with 2 cables so that you can connect to any computer. I recommend this storage device over any thumb/flash drive.

Its small and fast and does what I need it to do. My only complaint is that the included cable is a little long. I bought a 3 inch cable for it that makes it much easier to manage when attached to my Surface.

Great write and read speeds, reliability of ssd (especially for portable ones), compact, and has USB-C. Really couldnt ask for more for a portable storage device and one that I really believe is worth the price.

This drive is made very well, is small and portable and very fast. It comes with both usb c to usb c and type type a to usb c cables so you don’t need to buy any to connect to all you hardware. And man does it run FAST!
