Great hard drive. Very small and is only 500gb, but you’re paying for speed and hopefully longer life since there are no moving parts.

If you are looking for a fast drive to transfer files between computers really quick this is it. The drive itself is about the size of the palm of your hand. Great for something to take with you. I wouldn't spend the money on it though if you are just looking to store some files. There are plenty of larger and cheaper drives out there for that. This is a great drive though if you want to do some photo or video editing on the go.

Bought this ssd to try with my iMac to see if it would make a difference in speed and it certainly does. Loads a lot faster no lag in any app or games, all though I don’t play many games. So far so good haven’t had any problems, it does what was meant to do. Have not run any speed test to see how much faster it is compared to hard drive because it’s seems a lot faster and it’s good enough for me.

I previously purchased a smaller one and loved the speed. So decided to purchase the larger one to keep my files off my main computer. I have been happy with the purchase.

I bought this T5 specifically to run my massive Lightroom Catalog as fast as possible while traveling and using smart previews. Plugged into my Macbook Pro, it has exceeded all expectations I had... it's CRAZY fast. It's enabled me to cull and edit photos on the go faster than I've ever been able to.. hooray for efficiency!! Overall it's a very nice drive that's pleasingly lightweight and unobtrusively small. If you're looking for portable speed and you have a laptop that supports USB-C.. get a Samsung T5.

Spinning drives fail, solid state don't. If it is worth backing up, it is worth backing up securely. Password protected and USB 3 read/write speeds. From family archives to essential business data, this is a universal must.

I have purchased multiple of these drives over the past few years. They are very small so work great for backup devices. Small enough that from all in one computer that the main hard drive goes bad, they can be hooked up and used as an external primary drive without any issue and take up little space. In some cases this makes more sense then trying to open up an all-in-one system to replace the internal drive. They are ssd so fast.
